    I have a question though, does the file you send have to be in CYMK? The whole conversion from RGB to CMYK thing is stressing me out and I don't have Photoshop to easily convert it if it's needed. If it is necessary do you have any idea how to convert .psd files to CYMK? (I use medibang if that helps ;;) if you don't know thank you for the tutorial anyways!!💗

    • @Tomatoda
      @Tomatoda  3 роки тому +1

      yeah cuz I guess Vograce's printers only print in cmyk? so like.. u CAN submit it rbg, but when you receive the product, you're gonna get it in CYMK colors and its gonna be a surprise xD I didnt think much of it at first but when I converted my drawings, the colors were much bleh and some glowy parts turned into harsh outlines. So bottom line, I do recommend you converting it yourself so you know the results youre going to get and to make adjustments before submitting. As for how to convert files to CYMK outside of photoshop or procreate... I have no idea T_T sorry. I suggest googling "medibang cymk" or something

    Thank you for the video! I was wondering if the charm discount (16-49 and etc...) would also count for orders that have the amount but the designs are all different? Such as ordering 16pcs but there are 16 different designs (or will they quote for a different price?) Thank you so much and apologies if I missed the meaning in the video!!

    • @Tomatoda
      @Tomatoda  3 роки тому +1

      Yes! I think you can as long as they're the same type of acrylics and the same size (like rainbow, holo, 3d etc.). But if they are different type of acrylics or size for each design, the discount will not work. So if you order 16 holo acrylic pieces in 1.5 inches, but they have 16 different artwork, that means every ONE acrylic is a different design right? so no duplicates? As long as you file it correctly, I'm sure it should work... cuz it kind of implies that you can do that on their website? I go over it in 13:49 - 16:47 in case it might be a better explanation. Previously, I've ordered 112 of the same type/size charms that contain 7 different designs and it was ok. But I've never tried 16 charms with 16 different designs before so I cant say 100% for sure >_< hope that somewhat answers your question!

    I'm planning on ordering from Vograce and I was wondering if the color thing really matters? I'm using CSP to draw, and that program (along with Procreate) use sRBG, not CMYK like Vograce specifies in their file information. But, I figured the printer would just convert the colors into CMYK, right? But, I'm not sure.

    • @Tomatoda
      @Tomatoda  3 роки тому +1

      So you can actually make cmyk files with procreate! cuz that's how I did it. I dont know about CSP tho. ^^;; What I did was I made a cmyk canvas and copy and pasted my sRBG drawing into that CMYK canvas... and let me tell you, CMYK colors are disappointing :( . It mutes blues and pinks and other bright colors. Soooo after I pasted it into CMYK I had to edit it to make the dull colors brighter. I mean yeah, you don't HAVE to convert if you don't want to, like they'll still be able to print it, but don't expect it to look the same >_

    1- Does the zip file technique also work on their shaker charms ? Or should I order the designs separately (even if they share the same characteristics) ?
    2- When they say the size is 2"5 : is it only for the total height or for both height and length ?? ( could I get a design that is 2"5 height tall but is 3"5 long for the length ) ?
    Thanks for your tips

    • @Tomatoda

    Hi! Thanks for sharing this! I was just wondering if they have an option to send sample charms of your custom design, like a prototype so we can actually see and review them physically before they start the actual production? It will be my first time ordering - I'm just thinking that if I order a lot and it doesn't turn out the way I wanted them to it will be a little disappointing. I'm on a tight budget and wouldn't want to waste anything..
    In your own opinion, would you prefer to get sample charms first or just order all at once and wait and hope for the best? 😅

    • @Tomatoda
      @Tomatoda  3 роки тому +3

      they have an option to buy only one charm from what I saw last time so I dont think they would send samples, but more like u just buy one (which also means u gotta pay for shipping.. and I remember it was like $6 shipping for one charm? 😬 my memory's not 100% accurate tho). I was also on a budget too but I went ahead and bought shit in bulk my first time cuz that would've been cheaper than buying samples first... and I was thinking if it's bad, I'll complain and hopefully they'll just resend me a new batch? (BUT I dont even know if that's actually how they'll handle the situation 😅 so its risky!) I also bought single charms with different effects as my way of sampling their product with my first order. I mean everything came out great for me personally. I reviewed my very first batch two videos before this one if you wanna see how that went. I mention towards the ends how many had flaws out of however many I got and what the flaws kind of were. I think if you are ok with waiting for samples and u can spend a little bit more $ for the samples you should do that. But if you are on a schedule and there's no room for extra spending, just.. yolo and pray for the best 😭

    • @Tomatoda
      @Tomatoda  3 роки тому +2

      hope u dont mind I copy and paste my answer 😅 "There’s actually video tutorials from other artists who show u how to do it more legitly, but me as a noob did this: when u hit the + at the top right corner to open a new canvas, you’ll see another + inside a dark rectangle. From there u can edit the canvas size, color profile, etc for your new canvas. Make the canvas CMYK and all that jazz. Then your new CMYK blank canvas will appear. Copy your art and paste it into the blank cmyk canvas. You’ll notice the colors changing 😭 if it’s ok then that’s that. if u are not happy with the color changes, u can copy and paste layer by layer and try to edit the color to ur liking. Then combine them all together. Although I think the new procreate update has a saturation changer built in now. Maybe tinker with that. But yeah the color change from rbg to cmyk is no fun :("

    What if I have a bunch of designs (customs people commission me for) and I only want ONE of EACH design? Would that still classify as ordering 15 of them and hence get the discount? Or do I still need to order a minimum of 3 per design?

      I haven’t ordered from vograce in like a year or something so I don’t know if anything has changed since, but when this video was made, you can order one of each design. The total has to add up to 15 for the discount. So u can order 15 individual designs.

    Just to make this clear:
    I have 3 Designs, and the minimum amount of an order is 3 charms. If I would only want one charm with one design each, this wouldn't work out because I need to make an order for each design separately, right?

      I think it should work unless they recently changed their policy or something. But their website never stated (at the time I made this video) you had to order 3 minimum charms for each design. So you can order 3 charms total and give them 3 designs and you’ll end up with one - one - one - different charms.
      In the past I’ve ordered something on their website where the minimum was 6. And I ordered only 6 but gave them 2 different designs so I ended up with 3-3 different products.
      Hope that makes sense. I know numbers r being flown around everywhere 😭
