Mercedes BlueTEC GLK E-Class ML/GLE Fuel Filter Change

In this video Corey from IDParts changes the fuel filter on a GLK 250 BlueTEC with the 2.1L OM651 engine. This procedure is identical in a E250 BlueTEC & ML250/GLE300d BlueTEC with the same 2.1L diesel engine.

I now feel confident not letting my dealer charge me a pot load of dough to change the filter. One question, we have a keyless ignition, how is the filter primed in that instance? Do you also recommend Liqui Molly diesel purging at the same time? Oh, how many miles on that GLK?

Really helpful video! Looks like you used part 651 090 28 52 - is that the correct one for a 2015 ML250 with the 651 engine? I am in NW France with an homologated American car and getting parts can be an adventure partly because the gov't here calls my car a GLE 2015 -18, which is not quite accurate and that causes confusion finding after-market parts (MB dealers here are less than 100% helpful). Thanks.

according to MB maintenance booklet it's every 40,000 miles for the OM651
