It's strange how, nowadays, the games are so allergic to humans while the movies are hooked on them. 😅
I agree with almost Everything you said. I was expecting a Rouge or Amy cameo at the end, or something happening to the master emerald but nope. Just Wade with daddy issues. To be Completely honest with you bro, I would just give up and save yourself the hurt and exhaustion when it comes to this 3rd movie. I don’t think we’re going to get what we want. Judging by how they saw everyone react to Sonic’s design years ago and changed him accordingly, Jeff atleast seems to somewhat care about what we want, but it’s become more apparent that his main goal is to make the 5 year olds laugh and that’s ok. This movie isn’t for us; it’s for the children, with easter eggs sprinkled in to get us older fans to smile at every now and again. Shadow will have his edgy moments and Maria might get hurt [or shot and killed on the ARK like she should], but that’s about it. It’s sad but, we had our time bro, now it’s time the kids had theirs. All Good things must come to an end
You’re right, I came to this conclusion after posting this video. I think I’m just done giving my opinion on things like this, it’s not even the content I originally intended to make on this channel. Part of it is keeping the channel relevant but this type of content I want to move on from. I even considered taking this one down but decided to leave it up.
I completely agree with everything you said in this video and thanks for not taking this video down because it gave a voice for what I feel about the so-called 'Sonic Cinematic Universe' without me making a video about it myself. Paramount/Hollywood fundamentally doesn't understand the Sonic franchise or worse, doesn't have very much confidence in the Sonic franchise. I haven't watched the Knuckles show yet and, to be honest, I don't want to despite being almost as much of a fan of Knuckles as I am of Sonic himself. The greatest flaw of the live-action Sonic films is that they're not Sonic films, they're films that just have Sonic in them. And I have nothing against the good cops of this world (because I know that good cops exist), but Sonic being best friends with a cop doesn't sit right with me because I've always thought of Sonic as a naturally rebellious (yet also righteous) type of person, the type of person who thinks that the only real authority is freedom or truth or whatever. I'm rambling now. I don't know man, Movie Sonic just doesn't seem to be authentically 'Sonic' in my opinion. Keanu Reeves being cast as Shadow gave me hope for Sonic 3 because he was the ONLY person I ever wanted to be cast as Shadow in Sonic 3, but the things I've been hearing about the Knuckles show have now made me go back to thinking that Sonic 3 will just be a Marvelised cringefest.

Jeff Fowler was only involved in the first and last episodes. Also Sonic spent a decade being alone, he’s not gonna become like game Sonic overnight. Maybe at the end of the 3rd movie, Sonic would want to travel to other worlds(possibly alongside Tails) to gain better insight on the hero he wants to become.
Unfortunately for me I'm a part of the few that enjoy the movie universe. I couldn't tell you why an any objective way, it kind of just is what it is. That being said, I agree with the sentiment that if these movies and tv shows are going to continue, then they need to focus more on the Sonic cast. It's non-negotiable. Preferably I would like both sides to be happy, so maybe we could get animated films that line up closer to the games to go along with the live action films.

I would only like one side to be happy and that's whatever side would make me happy. The other side is evidently a side that doesn't even care about the Sonic franchise at all.
I think it's possible to make "Pet Sonic" and have him stay with a human family while staying true to the source material. Sonic X did this 20 years ago, never mind the dub. Just have Sonic be independent, let him roam around the planet and make him always late for dinner!
You’ve spoken nothing but true facts this entire video lol. I completely agree and honestly Sega should really have more humans appear in the main game universe again so things feel a lot more alive in Sonic’s world. The commander better appear in X shadow generations and mephiles hopefully )

I think there are many forces at play here. They already know you like Sonic. They know your greasy ass will buy the next game or the next movie ticket. They need your girlfriend, who knows nothing about Sonic to be into it. So she can see that it's a town, just like towns she knows. She needs to see a woman doing yoga. She needs to hear krispy kreme and she needs to see a fidget spinner so she can see oh this is just like real life. And then she needs to see Sonic be introduced from the ground up. That's what movie 1 was about. If you'll notice they gradually started introducing more and more juicy lore in Movie 2, and they are going to go absolute ham in movie 3. You cannot just make a casual story about Shadow the Hedgheog, his story is specific, it is tragic, and it is intense.
I have no excuse for the Knuckles show though, that looks like it was another SEGA lie for cash, like Sonic Forces. As "artistic" as one might want it to seem, it barely had Knuckles for budget reasons, and quite honestly, it shouldn't exist. At the very least we now have a whole 40 mins of Knuckles the Echidna learning about jewish traditions, which is just bizarre and hilarious.
I haven't watched this show nor movie 2 (live action Sonic isn't for me) but from the snippets I've seen from this show, it's making me miss Elise lmao

That was their age in 2003 for Sonic Heroes. Nothing to do with the movies, even though they could be similar, thats not what people want to see from Sonic, you gotta understand that. Also, would you prefer to play a Sonic game with levels in a generic suburb where you have to be home by 8:00pm? Cause I sure wouldn’t😂 and thats my problem with it.
@@soniccreations So basically because it's not your ideal version of Sonic, therefore it's bad. Sorry, but the movies are doing their own separate thing with the series and I am personally okay with it. It's not trying to be like the games, nor does it need to be.
@A.B.-ub9un I agree they are doing their own thing, I’ve come to realize that more recently. It’s not my ideal version but I can appreciate it for what it is and I look forward to the sequels. I came off way too aggressive in this video and was frustrated with the missed potential of the show and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t fully agree with this video anymore but it’s too late to take it down. Thats my mistake to learn from.
bros shitting on the SCU over one show, it was good, Knuckles was teaching wade how to be a warrior, thats why it was wade more than knuckles, and its gonna be hard making the places sonic goes to in the games, in real life, like chemical plant, and CGI is really expensive
I mentioned that the CGI is really expensive and that’s most likely what happened here. I did come off a bit aggressive in this video, but it is because I am very, very passionate and want to see the scu succeed. But there are a lot of things I didn’t like about the first two movies the second movie, especially. But that’s just me personally I’m not trying to start a trend here. This is just my opinion. I want these movies to have a definitive end and not become like the MCU and that’s also just my opinion. I’d rather see a 2D animated series of movies that is faithful to the lore kind of like what we’re getting with shadow generations dark beginnings.

I do hope that characters like G.U.N. Commander, Maria & Gerald Robotnik, The President, Princess Elise, Professor Pickle, Topaz, Chris Thorndyke, Hell, even Merlina, would be nice to see in the games again.

I don’t have Paramount Plus. I’ve seen the trailer (and also I know the first episode is on yt, just haven’t checked it yet). This basically always happens. If you enjoy the show, you probably have your reasons and are valid in those reasons. If you don’t like the show, your opinion is also valid. At the end of the day I don’t care that much about the shows. The knuckles show does look like fun, considering I sometimes enjoyed the humans in the first movie (a lot less in the second tho). At the end of the day the thing is that this might be called a knuckles show, but it’s not really a “knuckles” show. This show is not what people expect when you think of a knuckles show and so some disappointment is expected. I’ll probably like it if and when I watch it tho. Awesome vid as always 👍

It is indeed functioning by technical standards although thats not what I meant when titling the video. I do agree that it’s only done good things for the franchise, it saved the franchise after all. Whats not working for me is the direction they’ve been going in story wise since the first movie. They’re just not for me. Although I’m excited to see what they do with movie 3👍
Sega needs to take away the rights and go to a Japanese anime company to make a collaboration for a real Japanese Anime Sonic movie.

Based take, you make me feel sane! This show/movies are not made for fans, by fans. I’ve been a fan for most of my life now, so this itches the skin a bit.
Still looking forward to the third movie, but my expectations are lowering, which is probably for the best. But yeah thats absolutely right, not really for real fans. You have to sort of look at it as an else world’s story.
@@soniccreations Ditto there. Though, I enjoyed movie 2 enough, so I don’t think 3 will be WORRISOME.. but I’m firm in thinking that movie won’t reach the potential it could’ve. Not unless a bunch of sharp Sonic fans wrote it, y’know?
@ViltrumiteIsRite99 absolutely. It is not gonna be SA2 the movie, its probably gonna take many creative liberties so its best to not expect anything. Like I want Rouge to be in it along with Amy and the Biolizard but that probably won’t happen. But we’ll see.

Its really its own thing, the scu, and thats fine, i’ve come to except that more. My belief is there is a balance to everything and the more content for the movies that comes out, the more story we see, the more unbalanced its become. Even Somecallmejohnny agrees. It’s not bad, it’s just not what a lot of Sonic fans want. Obviously we want more focus on Sonic characters for a Sonic movie. But I love the Sonic OVA and it has lots of humans in it but it’s balanced well. And thats just my opinion. I respect yours, its just me personally I don’t get what their mindset is when making these. That being said, I’m looking forward to movie 3.

The focus of the movies is to make Sonic corny asf and make it not feel like the games to sucker people into watching trash.
The Sonic movies having original human characters isn’t a bad thing at all, especially since most humans in Sonic aren’t really that interesting or charming in the first place. There’s a very little amount of human characters in Sonic that I enjoyed, until the movies came out. Tom Wachowski is a much better human character than someone like Chris Thorndyke. Same with Agent Stone as a companion for Robotnik compared to Orbot and Cubot. I was fine with how they handled the humans in the movies for the most part, and I disagree with your argument that they’re more important than Sonic, but what they did with the Knuckles show was everything that could’ve gone wrong with the movies, not including them keeping the Ugly Sonic design. Do we really want the Sonic movies to be exactly like the games that fans constantly complain about? I feel way more passion and effort with the movies than almost every Sonic game in the 2010s.
My point is simply that there is too much focus on human characters. I didn’t say I don’t think they should be there. I have entire discussion videos on my channel talking about their importance to the series. I just don’t like when they get more screen time than the characters we are actually here to see. My argument is not that they’re more important its why is this the case for the knuckles show? Why doesn’t he get any development compared to Wade. And comparing the 2010’s era to movies is strange. I still prefer the games universe as a whole cause the Sonic characters are the focus, as they should be. I don’t mind some human characters getting the spotlight, but the knuckles show pushed it over the edge, thats what im saying.
@@soniccreationsYeah, I agree with your argument about the human characters in the Knuckles show, but I don’t agree with your argument about the human characters in the movies (the wedding stuff did give a little too much with the human characters, but it’s not nearly as bad as in the Knuckles show; I did like the twist reveal of the GUN agents infiltrating the wedding).
@supersaiyanfox9190 I know. I think I definitely took it a little too far and that part of the video. I really do like the movie universe. It’s just there were certain aspects of the second movie that were amplified for the knuckles show that just made me think that this movie universe is going in the wrong direction, that’s all.
@@soniccreationsUp until the Knuckles show, I thought this Sonic cinematic universe was brilliant for taking the time to develop the Sonic content between movie 1 and movie 2, instead of showing everything all at once like the Mario movie did. But the Knuckles show was an example of playing it safe, to the point that it comes across like filler.

It was just the show, there were things in the 2nd movie I didn’t like. I am very much willing to give this movie universe and chance and look forward to more. I don’t have to like everything attached to it, I’m gonna give my honest opinion as everyone should. And I don’t think they should quit, I had a whole segment in this talking about what I want to see in the future. I’m liking what I’m seeing, everything as a whole is shaping up nicely👍
