Appreciate Mr. Campbell for answering all the tough questions with patience and class.
I am convinced, AirIndia have bright future under Campbell Wilson. He is having extraordinary management skills.
Really . AirIndia is still a rubbish airline
I’m an AvGeek and not a single time during the interview did I wince saying this Interviewer doesn’t know what he’s talking about or he is so ill-informed about aviation or how things work in aviation. Thoroughly enjoyed watching, such a well conducted interview, Vishnu Som!
Also, full marks to Campbell Wilson on the way he answered all questions and congratulations to him and the entire team at Air India for what they have achieved in such a short time despite the challenges the Aviation industry keeps throwing at them. I was earlier sceptical but now I am convinced hiring him was a good decision and Air India is in good hands 🙌🏼
You need a cool CEO like this. Air India will win.
I am very positive that things are going to be much better in coming years. It gives me immense pride to fly Air India when I travel abroad and domestic also. No matter the conditions or services offered Air India should always be our first preference.
All the best! to Air India 👍
When it will be listed ?
There was a time when Air India was considered one of the most prestigious airlines in the world. Appears that the new CEO has set himself a challenge to return the airline to those times. Wish him well. This is in contrast to British Airways that seems to have given up on that.
Mr. Campbell is a visionary leader
The questions asked were really great from that Mr Vishnu Som, question related to customer experience really appreciate it!
Campbell with enormous challenges is doing his best ...it's not only transformation of air India but also transformation of campbell😅....now he is growing the indian tough spine....indian public look forward to change for air india
They need to have direct flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Delhi and Mumbai….
When it will be listed ?
I wish he had asked some questions regarding cabin layout unification, given the large number of variants of vistara aircraft and air india aircraft. And further regarding air india's MRO capabilities.
I have flown AI at least 5 to 6 times on international flights. None of the trips were appreciable. For the past 10+ years, I fly Emirates, Qatar or Singapore Airlines depending on the ticket price, I have zero complaints but only compliments.
This is a well conducted interview but my boy smile sometimes 😅😅
Vishnu was interviewing, as if he will offer job to wilson😅
That’s how a CEO should talk unlike Bhavish Ola wala
Air India is still as crappy as it was before. Key routes to USA still has dirty planes and the crowd is not inviting. First of all flying to Delhi is great but it is not an international airport as you have to get down on the runway like a third world country. I tried it after 15 years and it is still the same crappy airline it was 15 years back. Food is horrible.Fix it ASAP.
When an Indian origin CEOs are doing so well globally it would have been a better idea to have an Indian as Air India CEO. This would have helped to improve service standards faster since an Indian person would have understood Indian Psychology better.
We dont many indian have experience in operating airline.
Those who have end up company in bankruptcy.
Indigo is exception
All other airlines have Indian CEO'S. We need experienced CEO in initial years may be 10 years and there after Indian's can lead the group
No we don’t , we need people with great airline industry skills otherwise will end up like kingfisher , jet airways and go first
Air India will rise like a phoenix.......I would say .....by 2030.....AI will start giving Indigo....a run for their money....
Never aggravated. Answers all questions cooly.
AI pls launch more flight to Dubai from India cities . Also push for more seats by amending bilateral seats agreement.
Why Vinod Kanan Ex-Vistara CEO is not in the top management ?
Hello
He is chief integration officer
He is in top management
New conspcet come air india i think more profitable organizations air india new markets would be find
THIS IS VERY POOR ON THE PART OF AIR INDIA DIDN'T HAVE AC FOR 4-5 HOURS. ONE COULD HAVE A HEART ATTACK. DISASTER. I DOUBT, IF AIR INDIA WILL EVER IMPROVE N WOULD COME AT PAR WITH THE REST OF OTHER AIR LINES. LAST TIME I FLEW AIR INDIA FROM HYD TO MUMBAI, THE RESTING ARM HANDLE WAS BROKEN. THE ATTENDANT COMPLETELY IGNORED ME, WHEN I POINTED OUT. THAT IS VERY POOR IN MY BOOKS. WILL NEVER FLY AIR INDIA.
International standards for flight duty limitations are very poor. India should lead the way when it comes to safety of the performance of the flight crew when it comes to flight duty limitations.
Does Air India fly in other countries i mean both source and destination being in an other country?
You mean via a third country , then No but guess they would do it with NZ via Aus
What you are saying would be called as a 5th freedom route , i don't think so they have that anymore although if I remember correctly there was one between hong kong and Osaka
Ceo❤
tata motor showroom insides air india office have to create ticket traveling. Air india international scheme be focus
Air India can buy top notch planes. But it's the mentality of the staff who gives bad name to the company. And many Indian travelers, don't keep the plane tidy especially the toilettes. The plane colors, Yellow, Brown and Red are so depressing. Just like Elan Musk and Vivek Ramasamy, the company should take away the bad apples immediately.
We need BATMAN AIR INDIA !!!
Basically don't fly international with AI until 2026 unless you fly from Delhi with the A350 also by 26' the 777 will be refurbished
No, 1/3rd of the wide-bodies are a350s or the 777s leased from top airlines which are already in good condition. They will also add 350s and 777s and 787s every year
For now I cannot take any chance to travel international with Air India as the service is appalling delays poor timing. But having said that will only Air India if they improve things on their side
👍
Should have shut air india and revamped to vistara levels.
I wish it is part of one world and not star alliance
Needs a new CEO...
Air India's service quality is extremely poor. I have very bad experience recently while travelling by air india domestic flight.
They can never match vistara...
Indigo is highest market
Rote raho...they will b much better than any international brand now exist
Fan of ndtv stopped after adani bought it just seeing for air india news
NDTV is much btr now than before
cry a river lol
I flew Air India in Jan 2023 boarding from Delhi to Melbourne they kept us in Aircraft 4-5 hours they said AC is not working . With two small kids it was nightmare to be inside hot stuffy inside the aircraft no gadgets in the aircraft I pads were not working . People started making noise so they after 4-5 hours said this aircraft is not working we have a new aircraft they took us out and undergone baggage check and we all were brought in back to same aircraft again . Huh they Lied to all of us . Very sad to go through that where we .
Listen to what he is saying. Jan 2023 was barely 5-6 months into the merger. It takes about 4-5 years to transform an airline Carrier
customwr
service is not upto the mark..please gwt Taj trained hotel
professionala as flight bursers, the old babu mentality still pervades
What is amazing is if Kiwis were such great Corporate bosses, why are 50% Kiwis living in Australia and more coming over every day? Shouldn't NZ be a hub of top companies instead?
😂😂😂😂😂
Is top management not part of the “make in India project “? Not a single Indian qualified for the top position?
We need skillful people not chappri who will make the airline go bankrupt : kingfisher , jet airways , go first
Worst airlines
Not sure how many years it will take Air India to reach a bearable standard - very poor and slow turnaround
2026
@ maybe 2036 Indians do not understand customer service it will take a generation to get rid of all old staff and bring new blood in
He sayed it has National name but he has name in only english why not the national language
Which national language you want the name?
Officially there are 22 major languages in India
@@ronithreddy7867 the one language that was there before … the only Indian language on there planes before which has been removed now
Chicago-Delhi flight remains pathetic. The last time I traveled in it, my AV system was broken and I had to suffer an entertainment-free flight. This experience was the basis of my recent booking when I declined the Air India flight, and instead chose a Gulf airline. Air India needs to work on its reputation.
The woke shit rebranding of Air India bodes very poorly for it. I will definitely not fly it unless they literally give the seats away.. It is no longer my go to airline for India and it will have to compete with others for my business.
Makes 0 sense but okay
Lol woke? Not everything is woke! How is it even woke 😂😂
Vishnu som as usual being the most pessimistic anti india journalist ever.
