I feel ya on that leaving out every sunday thing. I was with TMC for 6 months up until the end of Feb. I left for various reasons, but one of the big reasons was being away from home. It got old real quick. Especially getting home late Friday night and leaving out Sunday. I thought I could manage it, but it took its toll with my wife and getting stuff done around the house. Now that I'm home every day I feel like I'm playing catch-up from the last 6 months.
Hey Corey, thinking about TMC, since you don't work for them...can you tell me if they do hair and pee test. Trying to make sure cuz the hair goes back 9 months
Love the video and the honesty man. I’m currently looking at TMC. I have a family as well and was wondering how hard has it been for you all getting use to the new schedule of trucking?
I have a CDL permit so I am up in the air about it. I never thought of flatbed as something I would or could do knowing there is so much going into it. So what’s your experience with TMC?
Thinking hard about TMC! What’s the most difficult task with flatbed you’ve experienced? And i seen one comment regarding hair. They make you cut your dreads?
The most difficult so far has been getting use to it all, other than waiting extended periods on shippers and receivers that’s most annoying part. And yea if your hat goes past your shoulders they want you to cut it at least up to your shoulders.
Do they do hair follicle tests? I stopped smoking weed a few months ago to get my cdl and make some changes. Never done anything except smoke weed. Am I gonna have to cut my hair?
No they don’t do a hair follicle, but I stopped smoking a year in advance to get mine I actually use to work at a dispensary lol. Depends on how long it is but more than likely they will want you to cut it.
So I'm very new to trucking and only have my permit. I'm also heavy set. Do they provide training and license? Also if it's not too personal, what's the average pay for a new driver?
Oh yea if you have your permit they will set you up for orientation next week if you wanted. They provide training and you go out with a trainer for 4-5 weeks. I’ve seen big guys in flatbed so you should be good. Check out my first month pay video you can do more or less to be honest.
Yes the do! My husband drives for tmc for 5 yrs now and loves it, granted there are days like every job that he doesn't but the company has been really good to us and is big on safety and family
I applied, but unfortunately they didn't take me in because of my weight. If anybody knows of another trucking company that pays for training and not otr, please let me know. I'm not ready to be out 3 to 4 weeks at a time yet.
@@stokeBlack10 I try to keep idle time down the best i can, but im not going to be uncomfortable. I have a fan and the bunk heater works good also. If it comes down to it im gonna run the truck.

Flatbed isn’t that bad, it’s tough at first but after you get use to it you’ll love it if you like the outdoors and stuff
