How come nobody seems to take advantage of the paid CDL program TMC offers? I see it exists but most come from a driving school that they paid to be at. What am I missing?
Because more than likely, if you go through TMC's cdl driving school, or any other trucking companies program, you will be signing a contract with them stating you will work for them for a minimum of 1 year. If you leave before that is up, you'll owe them money for reimbursement for the cost of training you. That's how most trucking company cdl programs work. If you arrive with your own cdl, then you can walk away anytime without owing the trucking company money.
@game cop also some driving schools are cheaper than most companies. My driving school was only $500 compared to companies charging thousands of dollars.

How long did it take you to be a instructor for the company?
So how hard is it for females to pass the training I heard the tarps are pretty heavy? How true is that?? Considering TMC if the tarps won't be a problem for Me??
Thanks for the question! The tarps are heavy but we had a female in our orientation and she was able to rock those tarps. Steel tarps weigh roughly 80-90lbs and the lumber tarps 100-110lbs. And way heavier when wet. Good news TMC teach a great and easy way to lift them. Also if asked nicely most forklift drivers will lift tarp on trailer for you. :-)
@@whitecollartrucker No doubt Females Are Doing it💪🏾💪🏾Thanks for the information Giving Me some light to go ahead and jump on the TMC team The 12 days can't come home during orientation I was just told about I was like what not even on the weekends 👀👀👀🤔🤔I got figure that out now

Did you have to room with someone while training?
Yes however you do have the option if there are rooms available you can buy her own room for $45 a night. For the first week I ruminated with somebody for the second week I bought my own room.
@@whitecollartrucker thank you sir!
I called you and sent you a text about giving your name to my recruiter
I didn’t get text. I do appreciate it But if you already filled out applications wouldn’t get referral bonus. Totally appreciate. You are welcome to give my name and truck number to recruiter if you want. Paul 13929
Did you get to pick whether you could train in Iowa or South Carolina?
Hi Karl! Good question. TMC’s main heading is in Des Moines and has the largest training facilities and backing pads so I believe they try to fill that orientation location first and then fill the others. That is however just a wild guess on my part.
BRO... I'm terrible at math... my worst subject in high-school
Easy math! Hardest questions is like what’s 26% of 75% of 3,000
What’s the idle policy? Do the trucks have apu?
Trucks don’t have APUs. You can idle if you choose but it will negatively affect your MPGs.
How long is orientation if you apply and already have a CDL license and years of experience
I think it’s 2 weeks.
I gotta have one a those hoodies lol 😳
Get one! Maybe I will try to figure out how to do a giveaway.
What type of screening do TMC do
Do you mean drug screening? If so, urine.
@@whitecollartrucker Hair Follicle too?
@@karaaryana3722 no just urine.
@@whitecollartrucker Thank ya, sir. :) I'm considering applying.
@@karaaryana3722 Kara you totally should. It hard yet fun work. You get to see the country, drive, get a workout and make money all at the same time! Cheers home girl! :-)
Day 1 and you already bought a hoodie🤤🤤🤤
Heck I’ll do you one better I bought the hoodie online prior to go to orientation. I had no doubt in my mind I would make the cut. And I was right. :-)
@@whitecollartrucker Thats great man,I wish I could be that positive. I did the TMC thing about 4 years ago but it wasn't a good fit for me for numerous reasons, however I'm doing otr heavy haul now..Good luck to you and keep the rubber side down driver 🤑🤑🤑🤑

I have a cdl permit Are the trucks automatic
Yes. Trucks are automatic now.
@@whitecollartrucker Do you get a manual truck if no restrictions or does everyone now get assigned an automatic? I believe you mentioned earlier the orientation trucks used in training were a mix of automatic and manual. I love the videos and appreciate you sharing your experiences with TMC. It helps settle nerves and gives me at least some idea about what to expect.
@@PhillipTalmadge Hey Philip! Thanks for the kind words. Everyone is automatics now. If you want give me a call and I will answer questions for you. 818-457-1771 just shoot me a text before you call so I know you are calling. :-)

What happened if you miss your general Knowledge questionnaire
What do you mean? Like you didn’t show up to orientation that day? If that happens I would think you get 86’d.
They help you to pass the CDL knowledge in case you fail
