A MUST SEE movie for ALL comedy fans.
Windy City Heat is a made for TV reality film produced by Comedy Central directed by Bobcat Goldthwait and starring "The Big 3" Perry Caramello, Don Barris, and Walter Molinski(Tony Barbieri)
The movie is presented as a practical joke being played on an aspiring actor named Perry Caravello, allegedly a gullible friend of Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla. Caravello believes he has been given a chance to make a movie called Windy City Heat, a crime drama about a "sports private eye" named "Stone Fury." However, there is no such film; it is all an elaborate prank played on him by Kimmel and Carolla. Every actor, extra, or any other person who appears on the show was paid for by Jimmy Kimmel to add to the joke. The actual context of Windy City Heat is a behind-the-scenes look at the filmmaking process, which is really nothing more than a series of situations set up as pranks on Caravello, playing on his gullibility and naïveté of the film industry.

So I emailed Perry and bought a crappy vcr recording from him. He sent signed headshots and wrote "This tape will be worth a lot when I die" on the tape. This movie never gets old.

It's funny because it is something that makeup artist sometimes will do on talent if your trying to protect wardrobe ect. Kinda a funny gag that helps you understand a bit about Don's character.
That's almost the funniest part, it took me like 10 minutes to notice it then it was just fucking hilarious afterward. Genius.

I wouldn't say "greatest of all time", but it's certainly one of funniest, longest running jokes on a guy so dense, he makes Katy Perry look like Steven Hawking. I love his award speech of "seek and you shall destroy" 🤣. What gets me, to this day, Perry still thinks it was a real movie that he beat out all of Hollywood's A list actors

I caught this randomly when it first aired on Comedy Central. The first time I ever experienced the Perry Project was the convenience store scene. Of course, I was hooked, but the obsession didn't really begin until I heard the Gay Bullied Big 3 Podcast with Andy Dick. I then had to know everything about Perry's life. Even the most minute, insignificant detail of Perry's life became part of the overall storyline in the best never ending comedy of all time. The genius of the storyline is that it is always changing, and it can be written by the fans themselves that watch it. It is an immersive experience....there's just not much else like it. After years and years of trying to explain the brilliance of this project to others, I now accept that some (most) don't understand it, and all of us that get it are exclusive VIP members of the bizarre life of Perry Caravello. God bless Don, Mole and Tomb for keeping it alive for so long.
I love that time someone mailed to Perry a NAMBLA sticker to put on his car, saying it was for a group called Negative Allegations Made Behind Legendary Actors. Perry had the sticker on the rear of his car.

In fact, he filed a lawsuit on Johnny Knoxville alleging him, Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla promised him 10 million to stick his dong in a mousetrap to prove his “Stone Fury.” It was settled out of court for 50 grand. That’s how dumb Perry is.
