    When I hard boil eggs, I put the eggs into a pot with tap water, covering the eggs with the water. Add a dash of salt and put it on the burner. When the water reaches full boil, just take it off the heat. if you like the eggs softer, pull it off the heat as it starts to boil and remove from the water. If you like your eggs harder, leave them in the water a few more minutes after removing from the heat to continue cooking.

    Induction Tea Kettle's are pretty awesome for heating water. And in terms of a stove-top burner, I would start with a portable cheap induction cooktop off of Amazon.... they are pretty cheap, and experiment to see which of your existing pans work well with it and whether you like the concept or not. If you do like the concept you can see about replacing your whole stove.
    Some people swear by their induction cooktops, and some people hate them. I'm still on gas myself.

      I do have a single burner induction cooktop. Haven't used it a ton, but all my cookware is compatible. Once i got off the LP for refrigeration I extended my usage of LP by months. 8 gallons every three months now, compared to same amount in three weeks with the old fridge. Probably be happy using the air fryer most of the time and gas range sometimes.🤙

    I use my toaster oven all the time with my solar. Works great along with the instant pot as well. I bought 5 power stations because I rent. I got them initially for fridge etc.. because of hurricanes in Florida however I use them all the time. I really like that toaster oven you got there. 1650 watts is really reasonable! Great video loved it!

    Couple years ago I got a Ninja Foodie that folds up or down off the back wall.
    The first one never kicked on the little stirring fan...they sent a new one that works fine.
    They didn't want the old one so I got extra everything for my delayed satisfaction.
    They do frozen pizzas well and frozen burritos are great.
    Go find other chefs that use this model...they can point out things you might never stumble across

    Oooh fancy. Ok, my goal is to cook up two pieces of crispy bacon so I don't feel left out. I have a toaster oven with an air-fryer function type of function, I use it to make home-made french fries. Peel a potato, cut up into french-fries, a little oil and a good bit of salt, and throw it in the air fryer on convention @ 450F for about 15-20 minutes. French fries!

    Thanks for demo Bob!
    I had been thinking of getting an air fryer for myself and I just keep putting it off for some reason. Cooking hard boiled eggs is in art. I’ve tried boiling and even pressure cooking. I find pressure cooking works the best and doesn’t take as much time , although, I leave the eggs in the pressure cooker for 20 minutes. That might seem like a long time, but I like my eggs done and I don’t like to mess around.. 😂
    Have a great day, my friend!

    Hey Bob,
    Loving the new air fryer,
    I know you got a lot of surplus power at present but in winter it will be more efficent to use an induction hob and the steamer to boil the water for the eggs, Induction used about 500 watts or so to keep water on the boil so a lot less of the precious amps to get the same result,
    But the airfryer has its benefits for all kinds of different dishes,
    Keep up the good content
    Greetings from the west coast 🇨🇮

    that a great air fryer .I have not done eggs yet that way. I have the one from Walmart .works great. just used it today. good test on that 48V inverter. 24/48V systems do heave loads much better then 12V system. A lot of Texas still with out power after storm damage. Was on national news today. also Texas has put a outher solar power plaint on the grid. with that air fryer switch that meter to kilowatt hours to measure total power draw. then compare to different heat settings. this give you a watt hour draw to figure run time on battery . what that 48V system it will be a very long time. if you add a lot to that system then need a outher string of solar. things you find out as you go along.

    • @ProjectsinParadise808
      @ProjectsinParadise808  3 місяці тому

    Off-grid garage is an interesting channel, he has solar and batteries and runs his house, pool and electric (Tesla) car off solar. It's all a matter of enough sun, panels and batteries! He's about 30 degrees south of the equator so has a fair sun collection probably just like you.

    Enjoyed the show! We have no gas, so use a m/w oven, air fryer, and a single burner induction cook top for all our cooking. I really like the induction as it's so much faster! It really works well with cast iron as it's very "magnetic"!!

    If you need to check something for heat dont use your palms or finger tips. You have extra calluses that slow your response.
    Always use the back of your hand as its less insulated and you'll feel it before you touch it.
    There're nerves in your fingertips that can be harmed by being burned too often. The same nerves you use to feel other things that don't hurt them...hahaha

    Aloha sir. Do not mind me, but I am more curious on the Victron MPPT's behaviour. If you open there App and check the Trends section, you can see the MPPT looses its maximum power point tracking when under load.
    You can set the Trends to Solar Voltage and Solar Power, and see when the load is running the MPPT becoming unstable by tracking higher voltage than the optimal power point and harvesting less power.
    I do not know why this happens with the Victrons, but I have used other brand's MPPT controllers, which are way cheaper than the Victron ones, and they perform normally under load or no-load. Or maybe its only a problem with mine, which I have no idea.
    Could you try checking the app and see if yours will behave like this the next time? Thanks.

    • @ProjectsinParadise808
      @ProjectsinParadise808  3 місяці тому +1
