#3 is sooo important! People who don't have a deadline don't tend to finish at all...they just let their book die 🙁 We made a vid on how long it takes to write a book to help people with that. Set a deadline everyone! It's the difference between life and death for your book.

watvid1 Look for local artist and family and friends. I found my illustrator through a mutual friend. Searching through social media using hashtags likes #localartist #artist #illustrator and tons of post will come ❤️✨
Also try Fiverr. It’s a site to find freelancers and you can find a variety of illustrators at different price points. I found two awesome ones who charge $10-$20 per page depending on the detail. I’ve been very happy with their work.

I was upset I couldn’t find anyone local to illustrate my children’s book, I became impatient with waiting and found one on a site and I’m in love with her work, but it pricey I don’t know if I should still wait to find a local illustrator.

I used a site called lulu. I like being self published but I will admit it is more work getting yourself out there. I love having the freedom of owning my book

royston gibbs jr I have an isbn number for my books and bought the name. Yes you should trademark your logo. I also did another video of how I sell and promote my books

Miss Naturally Fine when you publish with Amazon they give you an ISBN number. As far as working with your illustrator everyone is different so I would work out something with them

Also try Fiverr. It’s a site to find freelancers and you can find a variety of illustrators at different price points. I found two awesome ones who charge $10-$20 per page depending on the detail. I’ve been very happy with their work.

Yes and that's still a good route. I just like being self published and selling my books myself.
I hope you don't give out too much money to them. And publishers shouldn't ask for it. They should be paying you when you sell your books.

If you go on Lulu it’s a 3 step process. I used another company for printing multiple copies but they do not publish.

royston gibbs jr I have an isbn number for my books and bought the name. Yes you should trademark your logo. I also did another video of how I sell and promote my books
@@thatssojayah6886 when printing with amazon do they automatically give you an isbn number? also if I pay someone to design my book do most designers only do the cover or spine & back as well?
Miss Naturally Fine when you publish with Amazon they give you an ISBN number. As far as working with your illustrator everyone is different so I would work out something with them
