I know this is a sorta old video but I gotta say I really like the dye job on that last doc you showed. The glow ledgestone one, it almost looks like an Innova halo
Watched your video on the trespass and I’ve been throwing them ever since. Added a enforcer for the beef and that’s it for distance drivers for me. Still throw volts too.
Love, love, LOVE my 2017 LIO ESP Glo Thrasher! Definitely my favorite backhand distance driver. MVP Neutron Tesla is my favorite forehand distance driver. Those are my go-to's, my security blankets during tournament rounds.
Great disc great review. I find big z thrashers that aren’t board flat, and have some slight dome at the shoulder of the flight plate are my fav and have endless glide
Thanks for making this video, I've not yet tried a Thrasher, but I will try them now. My current go-to distance drivers are G Star Colossus and ESP Nuke.
Great vid man👍🏻. My favorite driver is definitely the star wraith. Tried throwing destroyers for a long time because that’s what the pros did lol. Tried a wraith instead though and have not looked back
Big z thrasher. I have multiples of all the plastics except the prototype. I love the big z because it takes forever to get them to change flight. I had my first one in the bag for about two years before it became to flippy for every drive every time but now it’s still throwing for my turn overs. Well when I was rh bh. Tore a tendon in my throwing arm now I’m learning lefty until I get surgery and rehab. Can’t stop won’t stop throwing. I’m still waiting for a DGN stamped thrasher stack lol
I have yet to get a proper flip to flat throw out of the three Thrashers I have so far owned. My first one was a 173g Zflx Thrasher that had a slightly stiff rubber plastic, it had a similar trait as my 2019 Ledgestone Edition Glo Sparkle Thrasher. My most recently acquisitioned Thrasher is my 167-169 sproingy rubber blend Zflx Thrasher that reminds me a good bit like my equally light and chewy Zflx Heat that I could put flat and straight with.
My favorite used to be the Fission Photon. Now it's the G Star Mamba. It's been a huge asset to the progression of my game. My bag is mostly G Star or similar plastics now.
I would say that I like throwing the Trespass, bc I know what it is going to do and it is reliable in windy conditions! I have one in lucid and one in prime that are pretty broke in. Might have to try the fuzion or biofuzion plastic to see if there is a flight difference! You make me want to try a Thrasher for sure!
The Trespass is amazing and I used them for years. Actually been considering putting one back in for times when I want a bit more stability. They are honestly pretty similar overall.
Save the Beat Big Z if the disc is in good shape, then you have an ESP backup just put a ESP F on the disc to indicate it flies like a new ESP. Personally my favorite true Distance Driver category is the Valkyrie in Champion and then a flat top Star for the winds with gusts up to ~30 mph and steady winds of up to 25 mph. The other second is the Z Stalker due to the wing and it is more just a driver being speed 7 and it is a slower disc. I do have true Max distance with the Champion Destroyer but that is more for headwind shots/OS shots with the 168 gram and max wind/Max OS for the 170 gram.
Just picked up a Z and was able to reach 330 with ease and consistency. Didnt reach the 350 I did with the Tern but I was never able to get that anywhere near my target. I'm digging the thinner rim with my short fingers.
Great job, Nerd. You do a fantastic job on camera! I know that isn't easy. I'd say my favorite distance driver is the Tern, but I've been throwing one of those Portland Open, bottom stamp Val signature Thrashers, too. I'm finding it a bit flippy thrown at the same flat release angle as the Terns. I actually get my best distance with a beat up X Nuke, but find I have trouble (sometimes grip lock) with the thicker rim. Thrashers feel perfect. I'm going to try a Z Thrasher, but if that isn't stable enough, what do you think I should I try? Maybe a Crank?
Also could try a Lucid Trespass. Crank is definitely a step up in stability and speed from the thrasher but the big Z cranks def go far if you have the arm for em. Also Zeus could be a good option. And thanks for the kind words
Do you have any of these up for grabs by chance? Or maybe know someone who may have one or a few they would not mind selling?? Any help is appreciated. Also any color variants
I had one for a little while but I don't remember much about it. I think I just didn't dig the gummy plastic for a distance driver. One of the Z Thrashers I throw a lot is quite soft tho probably about as soft as some firmer Z Flx runs. They definitely fluctuate based on the ones I've seen at my local shop in terms of how soft and gummy they are.
It was the ESP FLX Surge, but the Thrasher has been my go to since it went out of production.
Those Portland Open Thrashers are 🔥.

Thankya
My go to driver too. Love them!

Great minds from Oregon think alike.
Also bought two of these after watching your review. Great disc for easy distance!

Actually just got a star wraith to review. Hopefully test it soon.
I wanna think that I started the Disc Golf Nerd Collection video trend. Awesome video and sweet collection xD
Absolutely

One of longest drivers is the Thrasher. I agree that the swirly ESP is less stable than the others.
110% on board with the Thrasher!

In less than a month you'll be okay. Thanks for the in depth look.
Thank you for the wonderful content. also that is an awesome hat dude! I can never find one's like that with a curved bill.
This one came flat but I just bent it myself old school style. Got it on Amazon
My favorite used to be the Fission Photon. Now it's the G Star Mamba. It's been a huge asset to the progression of my game. My bag is mostly G Star or similar plastics now.
If you want to try something new I'd recommend a g star Mystere. Great disc similar to a Thrasher
@@DiscGolfNerd Sweet, I'll definitely give it a try. I really like training new discs, thanks.

The thrasher has become my go to driver. Only have one in big Z but I want to get another in esp and maybe another big Z or x plastic.
Have you tried z flx thrasher. Pretty good in the cold weather
I had one for a bit but I liked the regular Z feel better. Although the pearly one in this video feels pretty close to Z flx

No idea you had so many Thrashers haha. I like your portland open one more then the one I have.
There's another in my car too I think lol
Going to have to try one. Disc golf depot is the place to go!

The Tern is 156 and my Thrasher is 169

Trasher is still a staple but I've been using the crank ss and crank more. Crank ss has been a straighter shot disc than the thrasher for me.
Do you have any of these up for grabs by chance? Or maybe know someone who may have one or a few they would not mind selling?? Any help is appreciated. Also any color variants
I probably have one I could sell ya send me an email Discgolfnerd1 at Gmail
Have you ever used the Z FLX Thrasher? What is your opinion?

What would be the next collection video? Or dream collection?
I do have some other stuff I could show off we will see
THRASHER? WITH THE DINOSAUR ON THE FRONT...YUCKY
