Love my Big Z Thrasher, been playing for 2 and half years am a more of forehand dominate thrower but been working on my Backhand and this disc my go to Disc when throwing Backhand ( LOVE IT)😎👍🏻🥏
Been waiting for this one! Thank you! In my experience the Z FLX is understable (great for LHBH left turning shots), the Z is point and shoot and the Cryztal Sparkle is a little more stable.
@@CheatingLeftyDiscGolf yeah they're the most os imo, I have a super flat esp that's more like a Zeus lol. I have 2 crystal sparkle glows id trade for the right mantis's or cranks :)
Great video, and google must be following me, because I am trying to track down a Thrasher today, and poof your video pops up! Don't get me wrong I am so glad it did. I am a lefty, and always trying to find an edge from fellow lefties over the righties! I really love my Avenger SS, but looking for something similar, but longer distance. Do you think the Thrasher is similar, but faster, or do you recommend something else? I can throw the Avenger SS over 300 pretty straight the whole time. trying to get up to 350-400. I have a Nuke SS, but that things is little to much disc for me right now. Hope to here from you thanks. look me up if you come to Clearwater FLA.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video! Thrasher or Hades is definitely a good fit for a faster Avenger SS if staying within Discraft. The Tempest is also a great option as well! I do have a video broken up into 2 parts comparing the Thrasher, Hades, Tempest, Crank SS, Nuke SS, Rogue.
I have both the Z and the ESP, and for me, I find that the ESP has a tad more high speed turn than the Z. But I don't have a whole stable of these to compare, so maybe that's just the way mine happen to be. I will say that I do notice a bit of difference in profile. Between my two, the ESP is a bit domier than the Z. So where did you get the Z FLX Thrasher? Is there some secret stash out there somewhere? I throw the Zone and Undertaker in Z FLX, and a DGA Tremor in whatever they call their version of Z FLX (Ice Flex, maybe), and I LOVE that plastic. I'd totally get a Z FLX Thrasher if I could find one.
There were a few recent runs of swirly ESP (since last winter) that were really OS compared to ESP made before that. I did take a look at some of my ESP and did find a pretty domey one, so they do exist! The ZFlx I actually got in a trade earlier in the year 😅. Hoping more are made once Discraft catches up this winter/spring.
@@CheatingLeftyDiscGolf Yeah, I really hope they catch up soon. I've been trying for about 6+ months to find a replacement for at least one of the two ESP Stings I lost (in less than ONE week), and no luck.
I've thrown a couple of my friends' Thrashers. I prefer the Hades for my downwind/tunnel/bomber. May be a little harder to control than the Thrasher, but it just goes so dang far, and is very controllable if you have good hyzer flip form.
Isn't Hades basically Thrasher? I have them both. They're pretty much the same. Both ESP. Same flight numbers, same feel, same flight path. Retired the Thrasher because my Hades looks a lot better :P
@@TeaRexTheMighty there are a few differences. More will be shown in upcoming videos! But a major difference is the rim width. Thrasher has a smaller rim (2.1cm vs Hades 2.3cm). Also, depending on the run of Hades, some are easier to flip or hold turnovers. Like the Prototypes are quite a bit flippier than the Stock stamp run. Also, Thrasher comes in A LOT more plastic types then the Hades, so for ppl who do not like ESP, they have more options.

Well discraft just ruined the new Z thrashers, the new one's with flight numbers are super lustery like the old 4x Z Tour Series Valerie Jenkins Thrashers making them stable instead of understable, super bumbed. No more effortless hyzerflips and rollers🤦♂️
@@Senigar953 ive got one that has 2 years wear and tear and it still flys exactly how it did new. Its just absolutely terrible when a company changes your go to disc. Its like Dominos pizza used to be bomb and then it was crap for 20 years.
@@Senigar953 the way I've always explained the flight of my 4x VJs is they are my furthest straightest flying discs ive ever throw, also if you throw'm into the groud they're so forgiving that they'll still skip straight a few hundred feet😂

Yeah those Ledgestone crystal sparkles are pretty stable!

My Z is very straight, like yours, but my ESP flies like your Big Z, very flippy.
ESP is definitely very inconsistent for the Thrasher. Half of mine are beef and other half are flippy 😅
Just bought a new ESP and found it to have much more flip than my Ti.
Good to know! Seems the more “overstable” (for a Thrasher) run is the end of 2019 early 2020 runs. I’ll try out a new one and update! Thank you!
