Good to see my old backyard is still open rideable, I remember all those sections, Kau coastline has so much to offer, I had a 100 mi loop following that coastline... the only thing I miss about the BI...thanks for the memories bruddah John~~~~~~~~~~Braaap!
Been meaning to message you Gasser. What was your fav tire out here? Never found anything I truly love, but right now I'm thinking MT16s are about as close as I've gotten. Ready for a new set the ones on the bike now are complete dogchit.

Some of it is closed/closing up. I met a guy last weekend that knows all this stuff like the back of his hand, so expect more from this area and up the hill.
@@JohnHowerton137 What ever tire you like for MX or rain forest or whatever, when those tires get past their intended traction usage, finish them knobs off on the rugged Kau Coastline that’s what I did.
Because along that coastline every 1/4 to 1/2 mile the terrain changes from white Coroal sand, a’a’, polished rocks, Pahoahoa, cinder, Iki sand, a’a’ flows and nasty chunky dozed a’a’ 4wd roads, through them flows just to name a few as you well know, so really any tire works and I find the balder the better for more traction in the rocks.
Brigstone M22 F/R was my all around tire.
@@gastonbelanger5346 probably should invest in another set of wheels to have a rock pair and a dirt pair. People who haven't ridden here have NO IDEA how hard this chit is on tires and wheels. Just tipping a new bike over here and it looks like a beat up old turd 🤣
