Thank you for taking the time to share this information about wood and tools, I have a circular saw, mitre saw, and router that have sat in their boxes for years now as I was just terrified to use them, even after watching other videos, but now I've found your page I feel able to now get them out and practice some projects, so thank you again, you make a difference and make me feel that bit more confident to try, have a lovely day
Hello from France Anika :) Thanks for your videos. It's nice to see a woman explaining things about wood. You have a different angle of approach than the majority of woodworkers I usually watch. Your explanations are clear and educational. I look forward to seeing your next video, as I always do (the one about the table saw was great ! ).
Thanks so much, Anika! This is exactly what I needed. The guide is a wonderful extra bonus. I do have one question. Are there certain "grades" of plywood that consistently have at least one straight edge? This is one of my biggest challenges in cutting plywood. Thanks again for another super video!
What a super informative intro to plywood and MDF.Tkanks Anika. You left OSB boards or Sterling boards in the UK. Can you please do a video on types of Wood used in Wood working projects. Best wishes.Keep us inspired. I wish you will inspire a lot of female to take up Wood working.
would love a video of you making a greenhouse of of wood and polycarbonate, any chance? i will be trying myself but worried as all by hand no electric/battery saws and im disabled
Dear Madam The way you explained the different types of plywoods ,MDF and Partical Board, is very interesting, informative, comprehensive, illustrative and important. You told A to Z about these sheets and left no point discussed. Thanks for sharing your skills and experiences with all of us.❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👌👌👌 In one of your previous videos I saw your hands were decorated with Mehendi? Indians also dye their hands with Mehendi on special occasions. Have you ever visited India?
If plywood is so stable then why is it that when I go to the big box store to buy a 4x8 sheet of plywood most of the sheets are far from being flat. A 4x 8 sheet is very heavy & to find one that is flat you have to look at many sheets & if you have a project that needs many sheets it can be impossible to find the number of flat sheets that you need. Even if you find the number of flat sheets you need when you get them home they can & often will warp. Once I tried to make a 8 foot long sled for my curricular saw out of plywood to break down sheets of plywood & after a short time it warped & became useless.

Have you ever visited India?
I am Indian. I grew up in India.
Glad you found the video helpful!
Those who cull wood in the big box stores need to fix the mess they make before heading to check out.
Thanks I always learn something new relating to plywood, did not know you can get hardwood plywood. I am sure it is a little more expensive.
Glad to help
In my area it's letters on both sides.
Thanks
Welcome
