Stayed at mgm back in march. will never go back. Sub par room.....NO ROOM CLEANING SERVICE!!! had to rob towels and toilet paper from cart when a room would be cleaned due to someone checking out, otherwise you aint' getting any...... I pray they do not ruin the Cosmopolitan since they took that property over. My advice....stay away....much better properties to stay at.
I got a comped room 2 nights from myvegas in the grand tower. It was a good room with a view of NY NY. I was able to check in just after 12 noon on a Monday. I would stay there again.
Great review. Stayed there many times. Never had a problem with the rooms but the sheer amount of people is a problem. I loved meeting the two of you at Aria. Keep up the good work and cheers from Seattle.

So I stay here 3 to 4 times a year. I really cant complain about the MGM. Ive only had 1 issue with a room once. I booked a suite and I typically fly in early and check in early. I no longer pay the early check in fee, as usually my room is ready when I get there. On this trip my room was ready but upon entering into the room, I found the drawer with the safe broken and hanging on the floor. I immediately called down to the check in desk, and they found me a new room. I went back down got 2 new keys and was given a stay well room. Since then I only book the stay well rooms. The beds are the most comfortable, the HEPA filter really helps me sleep with my allergies acting up in the fall in Vegas. The Vitamin C infused shower is a nice touch. Housekeeping is always great no issues ever there. I ate at Nellies last year and was not impressed. I had the chicken and dumplings and it was way too salty. My buddy got fried chicken and had the same issue way too salty. Tap is very good, I like the fish and chips. Grand Wok has very good Chinese food.International Smoke has a great Korean BBQ short Prime rib that is amazing. I has smoked old fashioned that was fantastic there that night. Nothing is cheap anywhere on the strip. Good value you can find in some of the resorts, but never cheap. Off strip you will find cheaper eats. I had a steak special at Southpoint that was great value. Bucca di Beppo is great value family style Italian, at Excalibur. I really cant complain about MGM the wife likes it because she knows her way around.
This video and your much respected review was so informative and honest! I would advise all prospective Las Vegas travelers to keep up with Roberts Las Vegas story for the latest hotel intel. I sure will.
Nothing new or unexpected. It's now an old property that caters to very middle of the road other than the VIP wing. It's mostly an expectation issue.
We stayed here after missing our flight because it was cheap and convenient. Our room smelled like mildew and cigarette smoke. Food was TRASH and the whole place looked and felt dingy and old. Would never choose to willingly stay here again.

Great video.. the MGM definitely has changed..we were shocked on how they now charge for chairs now all around the lazy river, it's really nickel and dime ING the customers..I agree... Mandalay Bay is bar far a better pool...we once had a room that the people next door were constantly smoking weed and the smell was coming into our room.. went to the front desk, and their solution was to send housekeeping upstairs, and spray the room with some orange stuff. That did not help because the people still continue to smoke the weed. So we told them the next day we want to be moved to the similar room we had which was the spa room... Well guess what? As soon as we walked in, it seems that the folks who checked out were smoking weed as well...so they had to find us another room..which they did...it definitely was NOT a good impression...thanks again for sharing your video 👍👍
None of that would be unusual for Vegas.
I can not speak about their suites, but their standard strip view rooms are pure crap. I got 3 rooms and all were: Old decor, dirty rooms, very worn and broken furniture, poor service in every area.
Will not ever spend another dollar in the property.
The only MGM properties worth a paid visit is the Park MGM and the Beau Rivage. (Even Bellagio is a turd now - I was just there last month and the staff acts like they are doing you a favor by letting you stay there)
Restaurant looked almost empty. Meals looked great! Prices?
Meals are always way overpriced in Vegas and that wasn't great quality food.
I think given the number of rooms... influx of homeless.. and in general....LA scumbags....oh and people who don't want to work it is still a decent place to stay especially if they are comped. Pools are awesome and decent restaurants. Would definitely go back
And how about those Floridians? God, they are the lowest class people in the USA. Most of them appear to be addicted to drugs. Some were even falling down; they couldn't remain standing up. Florida has really gone down hill over the past 6 years.
As a marijuana smoker I think its lame that you had to put up with that when your paying for a non smoking room!!! Not cool…
That's to be expected in the middle or the road property in Vegas.
@@johniii8147 smoking and non smoking you’d think would distinguishable in 2023… 🙂 But yeah Vegas as a destination is dying as the social media tells us…let alone our “rewards”… 🙂😂🤣😂 Used to be our second home… I didn’t miss it in the last two years. 🤷♂️🙂
@@degas It's one of those things you tend outgrow. I've had my fun in Vegas. But you get a point where been there done that.

@@degas Yep that happens but no regrets. It was fun at the time. Actually one thing that's come with my age in my 50s i'm really not going to even worry about some young folks next door are smoking weed. Just close the door and your good.
