Hey Guys,
This video is part-2 of our 2000 years old temples journey which is called Kolaramma temple in Bangalore Kolar town.
The temple of Kolaramma is more than a two thousand years old. It is located in the Kolar town of Karnataka and the deity of the temple is Goddess Kolaramma. It was built in the Southern Style of architecture by Cholas. Goddess Kolaramma is worshiped as Goddess Durga. There are two prominent temples located in Kolar, these include, the Kolaramma temple as well as Someshwara Temple.
It is believed that the royal family of Mysore used to visit the temple and get blessings of the Goddess. The temple has a Dravida Vimana Style of architecture and it has inscriptions from the period of 1012 A.D. There are intricate carvings and designs inside the granite stones of the temple.
