Years ago I had a 4th of July party. My cat was pretty chill, greeting some of my friends she'd met before, being somewhat cautious around new people, and then one man from my Sunday school class showed up. She hissed and growled, dropped onto her belly and slunk out of the room to hide under my bed and she stayed there all evening. Once the man left but others were still around, she finally came out and acted like her normal self. This man was later arrested (almost a year) for hurting children. She knew.
I don't know if they trust me, but I do feed them. Like spoiled little kids. Even my feral cat Mushu sometimes he's skittish and will run away if you reach toward him, but lately I show him scratching motion and he'll let me scratch his head and shoulders. He is work. He is also worth it and is the sweetest most lovable to his kitty brothers and sisters. Relationships and trust take time. Love your channel.❤🐈⬛
I LOVE your channel, sir! You have a firm grasp on positive cat ownership,_especially for those of us negotiating their senior years. Thank you from myself, Levi (pictured in my thumbnail pic) and Abigail. Meowza! 😻😻😻
I thought after the children were on their own I finally got the toilet to myself…. Then I adopted 🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛ Five boys and alas they vie for attention when in the looooooo
Hi SCW....Thank you for another informative video! I look forward each day to your new posts! You're hard work and the info you share makes kitties and their fur parents happy! ❤🐈❤
My indoor cat Suzie who i lost in 2019 was very affectionate and did all of these things and my outdoor cat Wendy who I adopted before way before Suzie is also like this with me. I just figured it’s because they are both females. Oreo who is a male tuxedo just wants to be fed and leave him alone. Although I miss Suzie so very much Wendy makes up for her in the affection. She’s like my little shadow and I love her as much as I did Suzie.
My Garfield has delivered MANY "presents" to me and has proudly let them loose in the house! Then she gets a kick out of watching ME scramble around trying to catch it! Now, after a few of these ordeals, I've learned to keep the doors closed until I can see what she has in her mouth! Fun, fun, fun!
My boy, Levi, a mighty hunter in his youth but now a dedicated sleeper, once brought a live mouse into the big bed he and his brother and I shared! That was when I learned just how strong the canopy on the bed was! I hung there by my arms until his brother put an end to my dilemma.
6:18 he wanted you to get some good exercise followed by a high-protein snack. Some people would pay a fitness instructor a lot of money to make home visits like that.
My senior cat gave up hunting years ago (as far as I know) but I do remember the icky "gifts" she used to bring me. Once, there was a dead squirrel deposited on my back stoop. 😨 lol
One of my parents' cats used to bring squirrels to my father. Snowball would bang on the screen door and, when my father answered, he would find Snowball sitting happily and proudly beside a dead squirrel. My father would pet, praise, and thank him and then, after Snowball left, he'd wrap the squirrel in newspaper and put it in the outdoor trash can.
Yes, those gifts .😄 Sneaky loves bringing me gifts: rats, dormice, birds, mice... Usually at night, when I am sleeping of course. If I am lucky, the gift is dead. If not, I may spend several hours or even days to hunt it down by myself, no help from Sneaky there 😅
My cats were sitting behind me watching me over my shoulder but one was falling asleep and the other started grooming himself. Seems like I’m doing ok. Sometimes I get some tongue tickles and kneading action also.
My Francis trusted me 100%! Arthur isn't so trusting. He's more aloof as he has some Siamese in him. Francis was always by my side. Lost him last month age 18. Miss him so much.
@kenwoods6663 Very much so. Arthur still won't go in my bedroom where Francis slept or living room. Arthur seems frightened of going in there. Stays in my kitchen all day. His choice.
My little baby girl was born feral, but she loves to curl up on my shoulder and doze while purring up a storm. Lately she's taken to adding lap time to shoulder time. :) And at night she's been snuggling under the covers with me at night again now that it's getting chilly :) I'm a luck kitty daddy.
One of my cats will stand between me or my granddaughter and growl when someone we don’t know comes to the door or in the house until we say it’s ok. The others will just watch them
The sharing of and the presentation of their bellies, is such an invitation that represents trust. When our little one started doing this we immediately accepted her invitation and now she can't get enough belly pets, lol.
I know my cat trusts me because she can be eating or stretched out on the floor and will pay no attention at all if I step over her. She only behaves this way with me, total indifference to my feet or activities, anyone else and she will move. I'm also the only person she will "Misbehave" with, things like scratching at my chair to get my attention or leaping out of a doorway in a play pounce at me. She knows I won't harm her so feels free to be demanding or silly around me.
Whenever my cat wants to drink water from the sink he comes to be, meows like a baby then walks and stays stays at the sink until I pick him up to drink. When I am about to turn on the water he give me a quick meow, as if to say, "that's what I want"
Also, you call your cat and he comes, even though he is not hungry. You can be sure he loves and trusts you if that happens. Obviously, there are also cats who choose to turn a deaf ear but still like you a lot, these ones just prioritize their cat business, hahaa
I wanted to wish a very *Happy Halloween* to all of the *MEOWS* and their owners out there!!! I declare that it's another version of *CAT HUGGING DAY* so please don't be stingy about it!!! ~ Viscen 🥷🌹

Wow! Yes, I think they have a good perception of people.
If my dog ever wants to avoid someone while on our walks (doesnt happen often) i listen to her.
@@kymberdusmythe930 Cats know. I think if I ever date again I will take my cat with me.
Thanks!
Having seven cats who love and totally trust you means you will never sleep alone. We'll not discuss the bathroom.
🤣😹Believe me I understand completely on the bathroom part.
Yes, we won't discuss it, but it means you will never be alone
💯
😂😂😂Ik,r?!!!

Male cats can be extremely affectionate
I am so sorry for your loss. We lost both of our elderly dogs within 13 months. It certainly does cut deep.

Thank you and you’re right it does. I guess it’s because they are really a family member.

I met a stray in the parking lot & it’s been a year now and he’s coming around: food & the kitten he raised helped to soften him
6:18 he wanted you to get some good exercise followed by a high-protein snack. Some people would pay a fitness instructor a lot of money to make home visits like that.
Kage doesn't seem to like anyone except for me. Both of my cats are currently sleeping at my feet.
She will even not move if she's sitting in the hallway and I'm walking by. She knows I will go around her.
I love that
My stray that I have been taking care off, for about 4 years now, does all of that! 😻✌🏼🎃

Condolences. So painful.

She gives almost everyone else who tries to pet her the swats though!
My cat trust me even tho he is an indoor cat no gifts good thing tho he only goes outside with me. Way to much danger out there for him

A. Cat would never expose her belly at a Chinese restaurant
I'm the only one who's allowed to pet my first kittie Maia.
Her kd brother greets everyone. .
