Sweet memories Station 51 brings back from the show, "Emergency!". Sadly, Julie London is gone (Nurse Dixie McAll). She's gone but will never be forgotten in my heart! She was my sweetheart of the show! Love you and miss you, Julie!!!!
At an outdoor event once in Norwalk I walked up to a vehicle display...and after a moment, *shrieked* "IT'S THE SQUAD!" absolutely embarassing myself. Didn't care, it was *that* cool to see it. Fun Fact: on the top of the inside of the doors are the signatures of Kevin Tighe (driver's side) and Randolph Mantooth (passenger side). Right about where you'd rest your arm. You can see Mike Stoker's signature on the driver's side door of the engine in this video.
This is another reason to travel to Los Angeles, California to see these trucks from tv series. I had always lived the new pumper truck and still do when I watch series on dvd.
Haven’t made it to the Los Angeles area, but if I do, the museum and Station 127 (and probably 51 @ Universal) are on my bucket list. I became a public safety dispatcher because of the show. I also was a volunteer firefighter & EMT. If there’s not a display of the old dispatch center, I think that would be awesome, as well as a tribute to the one person who was heard on almost EVERY episode (and seen a handful of times), but never acknowledged or credited, dispatcher Sam Lanier.
The cool thing about the Ward LaFrance, is the design, the detailing and the look. The Philadelphia fire department had one of em and I must say, I am very impressed. I'd see myself driving it and utilizing it and my personal fire engine. I am gonna leave the 51 logo on each side of the doors and keep it red. And squad 51 on the other hand, be very great rescue unit. I'd see myself starting fire department with both of the units seen from the show emergency. Tho I would have to get approval from the state of Pennsylvania but hey! I love anything classic.
Emergency!, The Streets of San Francisco and The Bob Newhart Show are some of the cream of the crop of the 70s, and of all of television history, for me (have seen all on DVD in full, and have enjoyed all of them).
I can never decide which Engine 51 I like better: the 1965 Crown Firecoach (i.e. the open cab engine that was used in Seasons 1 and 2), or the 1973 Ward LaFrance (the closed cab engine that was from Episode 3.2 until the end of the show). I always feel that the Crown never gets the love or attention the Ward got.
Johnny gages character was after the james page I still watch it every day on fetv 10 pm EST this show got million s into the medical field me included ♥️✌️
They did have a crown before they got the Ward LaFrance. Then they got the Ward LaFrance. If memory serves correct, the Ward LaFrance was a closed cab. The Open cab was a crown brand engine.
Wried wish people understand autism or any other type of speacil needs I was bullied for my autism because I couldn’t be first in line and I still get bullied I don’t like being around lots of people
You just keep being who you are. I don't have autism, but people try to bully me around at times.....I stop it right away. But my niece and my step son are special needs, and I know they will get bullied. Bullies are just that, bullies. You keep thriving, this world and all it's wonders belongs to you and the rest of us.
My brother built that truck you seen that you see right over next to the engine 51 score 51 that was over there my brother Richard broke that truck when it was when when when when when when I was in living in Warren I got to see that truck
I never understood why they changed the opening theme to the show in the later seasons. The original was a absolute classic. The 2nd theme wasn't even worth listening to.
Damn is it just the video Sorry I couldn't stand 5 minutes .. that warehouse needs some Baffling in the ceilings if I ever visit I will make sure I've packed my Ear Plugs...Damn

There's signatures in the compartment of everyone who did the show. I have photos on my Facebook page. Fill free to check them out.

Yes the open cab Crown engine
