THANK YOU for sharing these videos of Mr. Norell visiting your facility. This is wonderful. I wish so much that I'd had the chance to meet him, so thank you for sharing this with so many of us who have enjoyed him as Captain Stanley. What an incredible day this must have been for all of you. Thank you
I retired from 23 years in the career fire service a year ago. Always loved emergency as a kid in the 70's. Never expected to become a career firefighter in 1999 at age 37. They were doing things on that show we still don't do today in the fire department I left.
I was 13 when Emergency came out. The show had a profound effect on me, and made me want to be a firefighter/paramedic. After serving in the military from 1977-1983, I went full in. I was sponsored by a local FD to go to our county fire academy in Florida. I got state certified and was hired right out of school. Continued my education and became an EMT then Paramedic. I retired 5 years ago after 31 years. The best and worst times of my life. Grateful that I was able to help as many people that I could. And the heartfelt sorrow of those I couldn’t. It was a self gratifying job. I’ve remained close to several of my former coworkers.
So nice to see Mr. Norell. Always thought about the TV shows that really made a difference. And how a 60 min show could and would choose , help you with your career choice.

Really enjoyed watching classic Emergency tv show. Very talented cast. If I were a male I would like to be a paramedic. 👍🏻
You can be a paramedic. Lots of females are paramedics.
nothing stopping you if that's what you want to be .
Hank Stanley was character played on the show, but was still an excellent example of a great leader.
Michael Norrell was the producer of Christmas Comes To Willow Creek .
You look great, Captain Stanley.
I was born in Huntingdon county and lived there until I was 32 years old. I never knew that Captain Stanley also lived there.
