- I have recently sourced some recycled Jarrah floorboards from The Rebuild Site in Carlisle. www.rebuildsit...
This is one of a number of jarrah projects that I have been making. I absolutely love the contrast between the ash and the jarrah.
Thank you for watching.

It's a beautiful little bowl. Love the grain and the contrasting stripe.
Thank you very much! The stripe really elevates it.
Really nice looking bowl, simple and elegant.
Thank you! Cheers! 👍👍
Beautiful piece, thanks for sharing
Thank you. Keeping it simple really worked this time. 👍
Great bowl. The added stripe is great. I love that it isn’t in line nor 90* to the grain.
Yes I deliberately gave the stripe an angle across the grain. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. 😀👍
I love the racing stripe! And, this week, WAX ON/WAX OFF! I learn something from every one of your videos. Thank you!
Delighted that you like them! ❤👍
Lovely bowl mate
I'm glad you like it. Thanks for watching 👍
Great contrast and lovely finish 👍🏻 Thank you
Many thanks!
Nice bowl. Did you consider grain when you originally cut the bowl? I'd like to hear your thoughts on that.
Yes I wanted a diagonal cut, but i didn’t want to stick side grain to side grain. I guess I just went with the curvature of the grain. Plenty of good quality glue and firm clamps also helped. Thanks for watching 👍
brilliant, where do you get your bowl blanks, because i have just gotten into turning and sourcing material to turn is quite difficult
Yandles www.yandles.co.uk/ or Toolsandtimber www.toolsandtimber.co.uk/ are both of very good quality. I tend to use Toolsandtimber more, as I only live 30 minutes from the store, so I can hand pick the blanks.
