Thank you
Amazin as always. Where i stay we call them scones (said like stones) but my pal who lives about 10 minutes along the road calls them scones (said like gones) 💁♀️
Scones here Donna
I live in Devon...and down here Penn, they're Scones as in 'Stones'. But if you're posh and live in Surrey... they're Scones as in 'Gone'.
I've been a member of the WI for 40 years, and judged many a Scone, and you don't need me to tell you, they were brilliant.
Have you tried the recipe for the National Trust recipe for Cheese Scones... they are the best.
Happy Cooking!!!!!x
@valerierowell6631 I've not tried that recipe but I'm off to Google it . Hope you are well

Hi Penn. New Zealand here (ex-pat from Oxford.) This recipe looks pretty darn good. Trouble is, I have a Ninja double drawer and a Nutri bullet. Can I assume that the temps and times are the same please? Thanks and Kia Ora!
Yes bake option same temp and time
Hi. Where can I find your recipe for these beautiful scones?
FRUIT SCONES
350g SR flour
2tspn baking powder
75g cold butter
30g sugar
100g raisins or sultanas
Tspn mixed spice
125 ml milk
2 beaten eggs
Heat oven to 220c
Put the flour , baking powder and spice in large bowl . Mix well
Add in the butter and rub in with your fingers to a fine breadcrumb
Mix through the sugar and fruit
Add the milk and nearly all the eggs ( save a little to brush the tops with) bring the mix together , adding a little more milk if needed)
Turn out onto a floured surface , pat down to about 2cm deep. Cut out rounds using a cutter . Push down try not to twist .
Put on a lined baking tray . Brush with the remaining egg.
Bake for about 10 minutes until risen and golden . Cool on a wire rack
Just adapt as per the video for air fryer cooking
Always called them scones as in cones. Few people say them as gone but it sounds pretentious when they do. Whatever you call them they are delicious
Thank you for watching
Well Penn we don't want anything to Inpede the rise do we ,as you said😉

Ooh no Bridget , it's all about the rise 😉
