Y'all are just too cute! Loved the walk down memory lane...can't believe that I have been so lucky to have been tagging along for the majority of this adventure!! Love you guys, my Tiny Shiny Home family!!
Best building ever. It's so much fun watching you build all that you've built.
I can't believe the amount of time it's taken you to build everything. You've done so much in a little bit of time!!! Thank you for the entertainment!!!
Outstanding video!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 And another perfect ending to a hectic week at work. Thank you all for including us on your adventurous journey!🐐🐓❤️❤️
Jet lighting himself up on the fence was hilarious. Beautiful property, y'all!
The chicken run in the circular fashion makes me think “Cluckhenge” would be an appropriate name for the structure. Keep up the good work!
This needs to happen twice a year! Also, the large permaculture community would love updates on the berms and swales.
Yes I'd like to hear how swales are going too
That black and white kitty is such a cuddle bug. Makes me want one. Gorgeous video.
Thanks for the property tour! I found your channel when you published the long version of the solar shed review and it’s great to remember how much you have accomplished since then. I know it can get overwhelming. Please know we don’t expect you to always show your happy face. We love you no matter what. 🥰🤪🥰
An amazing recap. You should all be soooo proud of what you have achieved in such a short time. Congratulations and continue to enjoy the journey ❤
Thank you Adeline for the goodies. I really felt honoured to help you fund raise your goat barn!
My Tuesdays and Saturdays aren’t complete until I watch your videos. I so look forward to them each week.
Mother's day gift of Shelter logic green house. Love it. Well built for huge low cost!
Very special for some very special people. You all have come a long, long ways. Nice job, learning new skills (Ashley's welding) and all it takes to build a Happy heathy home and life. thank you ALL, stay safe
You have done so much in 4 years ... love watching you grow ... a heartfelt fam with "the sky is the limit attitude" ... sustainable creating & living is a win win 360 degrees including for our earth 💜✨🌎✨💜
Beautifully explained guys! And I can’t believe how small the kiddos were when you first got there! Love you all! 😊❤
Never get enough of you all. Thanks for sharing your journey. Yay to kids cats dogs and goat.
How do you get an income. I see it doesn’t look cheap.
The most inspirational channel that I watch on UA-cam!.
You’ve really covered a lot of ground over the past four years! Your journey has shed so much light on the process of building an off grid natural home. It has demystified it for me, and even de-romanticized it. Off grid living is all well and good in our heads but until you put in the time and effort to learn, make mistakes, and try again - it’s just a dream. Congrats on coming so far, and thanks for sharing the journey!
That's a great recap. Almost like reminiscing about the past with old friends. I can't believe I've been watching your amazing family for so long. Thank you again for the video's and daring to try something new and different. Your living my dream life and with every video you put out slowly pushes me to getting closer to my dream. I truly appreciate all of you. Good luck in the future and I look forward to many more years
Happy Mother’s Day, Ashley. You are a very inspiring woman!😍🇨🇦
Jon and Ashley, Sustainable living is the key to life and footprint you leave behind is even more important for our planet we call home IMO. Not only is your channel informational and educational, the air of comedy you add to your segments makes learning fun! I for one, wish for your channel is, that it grows to reach the millions! Live, Love and Be Happy! Congrats to the whole family!
Amazing tour video showing all the wonderful progress on the homestead to close out a spectacular week. Such lovely memories as a family. Happy Mother’s Day Ashely !🙏🏼♥️🥰👑💐🌻
Thanks for the "Bring us all up to speed' video. I'm soimpressed with how much you've done and I've learned things from you that I use on my property. Thanks again!
Cannot believe it's been 4 years. You have accomplished so much. Perseverance ❤
It amazes me how quickly the boys grow. In 9th grade my husband was the smallest kid in his class and over the summer by 10th grade he was one of the tallest. He’s 6’4”. My grand son was a little kid when we visited and by next summer pictures showed a full grown boy man lol. He’s 6” and still growing at 15 yrs old. I definitely noticed how tall Jax has grown. Beautiful family
Thanks for being yourselves. I appreciate what you all are doing and the design esthetics. Have a great week!
Amazing tour!!
Y'all are an inspiration to each of us who desire to live the same dream!!!
I can't wait to see your new round house. Toda!
Great work folks. I could live in the storage shed: I live in my van. 5 th year. Simple nature living is it. I'm an organic gardener for over 42 years. Yeah. I'm 62 now. Keep having fun. Greetings from Santa Fe, NM.
Have a wonderful Mother’s Day
Jet learned all he needs to know about electricity. He'll take this lesson with him in life. Now, let him use his new found knowledge and experience whenever you do electrical work! Thanks so much for the update. I didn't realize that I watched your "garage" remodel a while back....and never put 2 + 2 together.
I LOOK FORWARD SO MUCH TO WATCHING THESE VIDEOS. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Thankyou for the tour, for us that can’t travel to you. I am celebrating my birthday today.
Happy Birthday Anty Bell
Wish the world was as amazing as you two! ❤love what you’ve done with the place but more importantly love who you are as humans!
This old grandma has been following you since you were rebuilding the garage and feed storage spaces. You 2 are so inspiring. Excellent parenting by raising self sufficient non entitled adults. Each of your children are unique and bring a lot to the table you call life. You have learned from errors and by offering work shops have allowed people to learn along with you. You are giving people the skills to work toward a life of freedom. I lived in Phoenix area for 10:years and love the high desert area. TY for the chance to enjoy your journey. Best wishes from San Antonio, TX
Your wife is glowing today, she’s cute ❤❤❤
Well done 👍 😄
A really good video of your time and talents since all of you moved there. I enjoyed it. Your children are so grown up and talented in so many ways. See you on your next visit.
The chicken run inside the garden-BRILLIANT. I’d love to hear about the pros and cons you’ve noticed about the long term use of the adobe bags vs traditional structures. Do you guys plan on trying any other non-conventional building methods. What others did you consider before deciding on this one?
You have incredible strength, energy and patience and that sure is paying off. Congratulations!!!
I have been along for the ride with you guys since the chicken garden project and I very much enjoyed going back through all the memories in this video. It still amases me how much you all have accomplished and so beautifuly. I always look forward to seeing your smiling faces, catching up on projects and laughing along with you. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing journey and your little corner of the world with us. ❤
Love and appreciate y'all, your vision, approaches, family lifestyle and your land as you built and create tigether......
Love you folks!!! Great vlog recap, so much has been accomplished! May you be filled with artistry in every endeavor! Hugs, good food, and families!
Hello Shiny’s. Well you did it again with another great video.🎉 I have been with you for each project and it’s been great fun, but when you put them together it’s amazing to see just how much you have achieved. Keep up the great and amazing work. God bless your lovely family. ✌🏻❤️🙏🏻
Nice overview of your off grid homestead. I agree, Jax has gotten so tall so fast! It's great that you built the fencing first to protect your homestead for harm. Driveway cut in before you got there. Needed water so got a big rainwater catchment tanks and putting water into it. Things got upgraded over time. Trailer set-up. Made the Solar power shed first. Build something under 200 square feet so no permit for it. Put the solar panel array up, 7200 Watts and 28KWh of storage in batteries. I guess Shelter Logic Storage Tents were really the first things you built and the fabric failed. You rebuilt them much better. Wind is a very major factor in building things. The Dudes! I'm so sorry about Nine Nine but he's on my computer in hollographic sticker form that I love. Great that you put the swales and berms with the trees and you have wind and fire breaks and biodiversity. The chicken garden was a huge undertaking that was great practice for building your home. You'll get back to it at some point. I'm glad the chickens have a safe place to be overnight. Yay, Dino made a Pooh Room! House! Needed a place to put a septic and needed a place for the Airstream. You built the metal cover for it and built a water system from the roof and ran power to it. Then you built an outdoor shower. You use biodegradable soap. Yap, Hayden came and helped built the so cute superadobe dome that Adali will live in. Then the Legend Dairy Goat Barn! Soon to have an awning with water catchment and solar panels! The Hyperadobe Roundhouse for you guys! Family home! Thanks for this video Longnecker family! Happy Mother's Day Ashley!
God bless both of you and your family. You are hard working good people.
My 95 yr.old mama would say..y'all sure not lackin in the SPIZZERINCTUM dept. ..ty xoxo..blessings to y'all in every way ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You two make a great couple. Very cute.
It sounds as if you guys playing this very well. I'm highly impressed
🦋🎨 this was a wonderful video. A perfect recap of so many things that you have worked on are working on and will continue to work on. And thanks for putting the links in there. That’s gonna be really fun to go back and watch a whole video about particular things much love and many blessings to you and your children and the animals the land.🌞
Oh and CATS!! ❤️❤️❤️
Made me realise how long I've been following!! Time flies.
Hi Ashley and Jon, this was an excellent recap of your journey so far. I didn’t realize how much land you had, or forgot. You must be really proud of your children, they are wonderful young people and seem always ready to dive in to the work, include play in the work and you all seem to get along so well. This has also shown how much your family has grown. I love your projects as you work toward making your home a desert paradise. Stay well, stay safe and enjoy life.
I just wanted to let you know this video inspired me to go back and watch the older videos that I missed before I started watching. I’m so glad I did.🥰🤣
Said it before, but I’ll say it again, You All Are Amazing ! Thanks for the re run ! ❤️😻😎🌞🌻👍🐥🐸
Saw your first vlogs. Nice to catch up now that you have achieved so much.
this is so amazing! a dream of mine. 20 acres sounds like a perfect amount of land. love that y’all are enjoying the journey there.
Love the chicken garden area🎉 goat building is so nice. Shower nice. Making the burm smart.
Love what you're doing and your focus. All power to you. In a time when housing shortage, climate change, political polarisation, food insecurity etc is beating us all down it's up-lifting to see folks just plotting a path and making their own road forward. It looks and sounds like a challenge but you come across as people with real grit. Stay strong! Keep sharing! We need folks like you more than ever! 💖😎
Thank you!
Om'goodness, Divine ❤❤
You both are soulmates, I love how you work together is inspirational🎉 your smiles are proving the greatest life for you all. Dogs cat's goat's and everything else, is so beautiful, we do love our furbabies ❤️ and feather girls🐣WOW the winds just wow 😳, incredibly fast.
I love it all, full of loving harmony. So much fun 😊 so clever 🎉🎉🎉 ❤ thanks for sharing your life with us 🙏 💕 👑 💞
What an excellent summary! I’ve been honored to watch your journey for years. I’ve learned much! As a side note, I love to see Ashley go from not so tan in the winter to dark and tan every year. Haha! Congratulations, guys!
P.s. super excited for the future hyperadobe faq video coming! 🎉
You guys are such an inspiration! We live in Phoenix and have dreams of escaping the city and being off grid. We love seeing how you guys have been able to live this lifestyle with a family. Keep it up! We can’t wait to watch the house come together and all the other amazing projects you have on the land.
TSH, you guys always find the best music😊
Nice history. Now I have a better understanding of how you managed to get so lucky to have alllll your kids so up to working as a team. Nice!
Hi guys...I'm a relatively new viewer, intrigued by what you've done in the desert. I'm 67 and don't get around like I used to, or I might be tempted do something like you're doing. I just wanted to say thanks for the overview. After the update, I can now identify most of your projects by sight, instead of wondering, "what is that outbuilding for...?". Casa de Caca gave me a chuckle... :)
Congratulations on a project that would make anyone proud - and what a legacy you're leaving for your children, because they're part of it. All the best, from Fort Worth...
I love the recap/update…your story never gets old😊
Oh my goodness, I remember you putting in the fence. I can't believe I have been watching that long. Your family is awesome. ❤Florida Grown Gma ❤
Thank you for the wonderful recap and I love how they say. Oh wait, there’s one more distraction. Oh wait it’s called life. I love you guys for being real. It is so cool to see how much your kids have so changed can’t wait to see what kid picks up another project?❤
Wow! I have followed you thru this project! I love watching you guys. Can I please see more goats. I also have goats. I just love the babies! I’m so happy for your family. My kids are grown and I miss watching them grow but I’m enjoying watching you raise yours. Good job!
Very impressed improvements. Loved your family works together, learning and building along the way. Keep it up. Blessings ❤️
Really appreciate this catch up / overview. I watched your start up with awe.. so long ago.. then Life happened and lost track of the details for a bit.
You all continue to amaze and inspire. Thanks for all these truly magical shares.
🌵 🐐 🐐 🐕 🐈 🐔 🐥 👍
Thanks for the tour
I was there for the casadecaca workshop. It was very fun and educational. I have since purchased my parcel of land in St Johns, a little less wind, snow over winter but tolerable. June will be one year here. Still figuring some things out in this area. Right now getting ready to start my planting boxes to grow my vegetables. Lots to do and lots of time to get it done. Busy spring and summer scheduled with lots of tasks / projects to get completed and at the same time, prepare for my 2nd winter since I am more knowledgeable of what will be needed to be prepared for that season. Your family is growing so tall so fast. Love all the buildings, the goat barn is really fantastic job well done. Love the fence that was welded together. Wish I could do that, but not this year.
Happy Mothers Day to Ashley 🌷.
Fantastic video down memory lane!! Thank you for putting this together, can't wait for the next video!

Totally enjoyed my Saturday morning with you. You all have come a long way! ❤
Wow you've done a lot in four years. And your kids have really grown. Praying for you and yours to have a blessed year. See you later. Great video as usual.
I love this. Not sure if it was a full two years ago when I started watching your family build, but I have loved all of it. I feel very blessed that you shared so much of yourselves.
Watching you helped me through my husband's passing and the first year alone.
Watching your kids helps when I miss my own but it is the middle of the night so I don't call mine, I repeat a good chicken garden episode.
I pray for you often and thank God for the way He blesses you - and all of us through you.
This has been my dream also! Although we first bought a mobile home in Apache Junction Arizona, which is where my mother in law has been living close by since the late 90’s, in a back then new subdivision. We also bought a used Fifth wheel trailer, which we were going to travel between Illinois/Missouri in the summer and Apache Junction in the winter! Well the truck my husband bought isn’t working out as well as he thought. Only because it’s too old, and just barely enough to pull the trailer! So for now it stays in Arizona. Not much longer though. Very great information here. We will probably be building in Arizona also, just not in the valley! To hot and dry! Definitely have a new subscriber! ❤
