  • Here’s what I ate on a Philippine Airlines Economy Class flight from Manila to Singapore. Few months and few days before the flight, through their Customer Service, I requested for a Vegan Meal, and it was confirmed. Unlike other airlines, they usually put a label on what they called the special meal. For this one, I don’t know what it is, but it somehow still tasted delicious. It has 2 hashbrowns, a slice of tomatoes with some grains on top, some mushrooms, and about half of the vegetable wrap with some tomato sauce.
Pineapple slices for my fruit, and a glass of water.
Although I requested a strict vegan meal, the catering service doesn’t appear to know the differences between Veganism vs Lacto-Ovo Vegetarianism, since the bread and butter they serve has dairy and/or eggs in it. Good thing they still put the label, so if you follow a strict vegan, plant-based diet, be sure to double check, before even booking with Philippine Airlines on this route.
