In one of the behind-the-scenes Ashley said she chose the key-necklace Lizzie is wearing, with symbolic purpose. So, I think you are correct. While Lizzie started falling for Darcy earlier, this is the key episode where she changes her mind about him. Cemented later, of course, in the 80s episodes, and of course episode 98.
"who do you want me to portray" "you" "and who will you be playing?" "me?" "well that will certainly make the costumes easy to obtain." Darcy made a joke!

Through that conversation, they are able to admit how they feel. For eample at 4:17 when Lizie ask Darcy "do you think bing cares about Jane. Darcy says, "I think you should ask him. deathly mockingj Honestly the sexiest thing about Darcy, both in the original novel and all the adaptations, is that he listens to Lizzie and he takes her seriously. He kept listening to her when she turned him down, he thought about what she said, he realized she was right about how he had messed up, and he took concrete steps to clear up the misunderstandings and to amend his mistakes. He and Lizzie had similar interests when they met (even if they didn’t want to admit it), but he listened to what she was interested in, and took to time to learn about it so he could talk about it with her, because he knows it’s important to her, and he likes talking to her. I really like going through this playlist (with all of Lydia's, Maria's, and Gigi's vlogs included) while reading The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet. Because now I realize that theory discussed by Lizzie and Darcy here is the theory that Lizzie wanted to test when she started vlogging. Her vlog was only supposed to be her final project for the previous semester until it grew to become her thesis and eventually, the basis of her final prospectus. It's here we can all appreciate just how well-planned this adaptation is--to integrate the vlogging into the unfolding of the major plot points in a 200+ year-old story. Kudos, really, to Pemberley Digital and the entire LBD cast and crew!
Darcy: Is there anything else? Lizzie: No, that's all. I...I know you're busy. Darcy: Never too busy for you, sugarplum. Completely out of character but would be pretty funny.
One of the coolest things about watching the complete playlist is seeing Lizzie's videos interspersed with Lydia's. The differences in the interactions between George and Lydia and Lizzie and Darcy are much more pronounced and it's a really interesting way to watch it!
AH JUST HAD A THEORY I was rewatching the "Do you think Bing still cares about Jane?" "I think you should ask him" scene because I didn't understand why that line provoked so much sexual tension...not that it takes much between them but I was still curious. This is is probably not the case but I thought what if Lizzie and Darcy were really talking about each other? i.e. "do you still care about me" and he wants her to really ask him and to talk about their relationship...? idk that was far-fetched
Nope, not at all. There's the obvious meta-characterization where they're playing Costume Theatre versions of themselves, but even their conversation, ostensibly about Jane and Bing, has meta connotations of talking about their own relationship. (Or, as I see it, Darcy gently probing to see how Lizzy feels about it and might approach it.)
MsLiooo that's how it is intended. They are using Bing and Jane to cover there own feelings for each other. That's why it got really tense and darcy broke it.
The sexual tension is insane, I love this blog series :O :D The only thing I'm not sure about is his clothes, they're a weird combination and aren't very realistic. I'd expect him to be wearing a simple oxford or maybe a crew neck jumper not suspenders, just because he's supposed to be wealthy doesn't mean he should dress badly :S
I think his clothes meant to appear a bit pretentious and (so i can't think of the right word but I just mean that he looks like someone Lizzie would be inclined to disapprove of. And also sort of stuffy and old fashioned)?
Indeed that was 50 shades of adorableness (sorry Lydia!lol): doing whatever to please the woman he loves...(humming..) when a man loves a woman...!!! But I'm not sure about Darcy's wardrobe though! Literally my only beef with Jane Austen. We didn't get nearly enough of their courtship. Can you imagine marrying somebody with whom you'd spent less than three months altogether? True love is gravy, but I'd like to think Darcy would've needed time to court her properly since he was, you know, completely inept at it the first time around. Also, Lizzy basically falls in love with Darcy while Darcy is in absentia, so it's arguable that just as she loathed her idea of who he was, she also fell in love with her new impression of his character as shown to her in less than 48 hours.
@@2ndRatePetronius correct me if im wrong, but courting is basically that part of a relationship once a couple gets engaged or at least declares their intensions to marry each other but before they are officially married.

The way he stares at her so intently... *dreamy sigh*
Help! This is so beautifully awkward.
Only Darcy can pull off a bow tie and suspenders in this age.
Aah but is he pulling off the hat? That's the real question...
SO TRUE
THE ONE TIME THE DOOR IS CLOSED WITH TWO PEOPLE IN THERE 🤣😭😂 also I’ve been going through and liking as many people’s comments while rewatching for the upteenth time so they can enjoy again if they haven’t in a while. Can’t believe it’s been over 10 years since this came out

Its great to be re-watch all those episodes again. Oh, how I miss watching them.
so Darcy is tall......
OK is it just me or is anyone else loving this height difference? 1:05
Him coming back with the hat and bow tie is still the sexiest thing a man has ever done
The love in Darcy's eyes!!, aggg the feels 😍😍😍
OK this part of every version of Pride and Prejudice is always my favorite. It never lasts long enough for me.
HOW DOES THIS MAN PULL OFF SUSPENDERS OF ALL THINGS?!?
IM AROUND 8 YEARS LATE BUT I CANT STOP SQUEALINGGGGGYFFFJRH!!!!
I come back and watch random episodes here and there. This ep shines with one of my favorite features, THE EXCELLENT FACIAL EXPRESSIONS. So much said with no words.
