Speaking as a Kawhi FAN , an old school fan , and the only team I followed before the Clips was the 90's Knicks with John Starks, I have to take offense with that comment about not understanding the gravity of the 2021 playoff run... The Clips are the team I chose to follow in THIS generation because the player I chose to follow in THIS generation is on that team.... That doesn't mean I don't like the TEAM🙄..... When we beat Utah I literally CRIED....... AND KAWHI WASN'T PLAYING..... Why would a "STAN" shed tears of joy for a team they supposedly don't "care about"? I'm a Kawhi FAN, a FAN of the Clips, and a FAN of basketball..... Just had to get that off my chest....... Shout out to Dime, he deserves more credit for the work he puts in for the Clips.👍🙏🇹🇹
If we run it back we still need to give the young guys more minutes. I'm thinking Bones, Kobe Brown, Kai and Moussa. Trade Boston if we're not playing him. Limit PG, Kawhi and Harden to 30 minutes per game, but they close the 4th quarter. Those 3 averaged 34-35 mpg, while Zu and TMann seem forever stuck at 25 mpg. The solution to avoiding injuries and getting younger are all there.
Used to be a huge PG fan and it was nice to see him go off 2021 but man for someone who wants max money you’d think they’d show up more and had more heart. Pathetic P game is on decline like it or not and he’s only getting older. this is what his “bully season” looks like and I’m sick of it. Sign and trade is the only option I see that should happen if he doesn’t want to then fuck it let him pack up his little podcast and let him walk, we’re already down bad as it is.

That's exactly why PG is primarily looking for a no trade clause on a 4-year contract... maybe 3-year... Not necessarily a max. He wants stability and is aware of what Clips did to Blake Griffing by shipping him to Detroit. I don't know why nobody is mentioning that.
Pg has no championship intangibles, he is a good player but lacks heart. The clippers made a mistake with kawhi and they don't want to make the same one.
2021 is ancient history. You pay people for what they can do in the future. He has been rewarded for his past deeds. This is a business

When you read out pgs numbers it really puts it into perspective but it did not feel like that watching him every game. Like you said he’s a coaches dream in the versatility dept and that’s spot on but god he just wants to hoop out there. He said in okc they just let him hoop, so what is it now? I’ve been saying since the Bubble and I’ve been in this comment section saying this for at least two seasons that Clippers should move on from PG13.

Not as good as Paul George but he pounds the ball less, he’s younger more athletic and won’t get dominated by physical 4s and centers.
Also he likely would want less money as Paul’s ego is too high. One good clipper postseason in 5 years is not good enough and he got shut down by DJJ and PJ Washington let’s call it for what it is. Not good enough

Terence Mann is a good all around player, but he isn’t like Alex Caruso that is elite defense and on offense he is good passer and don’t try to shoot . Tmann is more offensively minded than Caruso, and he is good just not a championship caliber. He should go to a team like Chicago he can start there and we get Caruso. Starting lineup in the playoffs could be Lebron, Ingram, kawhi, Zubac and Caruso .

I think a sign and trade might be a very shrewd move for The Clippers but i do believe there are strong cap implications if they do so.
Even without Harden, Westbrook, and the other free agents coming off the books, i think a sign and trade hard caps The Clippers?
I'm assuming a sign and trade means some team(Philly, Indiana, OKC, Orlando, etc....) has agreed to make PG a max player, on a 4 yr deal.
That means The Clippers are bringing close to PG's new money back in salaries.
Those contracts should be primarily expiring contracts unless The Clippers are getting a young potential star from a contender.
I don't believe The Clippers will give give him that 4th yr guaranteed.
It might be a team option in year 4....

PG rithym is inconsistent, you never know if he is scoring or bad passing last second. Brandon Ingram is a better passer like a big guard. If we get lebron for harden and Ingram for PG, so lebron and Ingram are the big guards and the third is Kawhi. that’s the biggest guards in the nba and that’s the trend cause they can switch everything. It seems like PG13 has been the star pupil at the James Harden School of Contract Negotiations. He wants the full $221m max that only the Clippers can give him, not the "measly" $212m that the Sixers would be happy to pay him (foolishly). So he's threatening to either opt in and demand a trade to a team of his own choosing, which would then have his Bird Rights (now WHO could he have gotten this bright idea from) or to hold the Clippers (or Sixers, if they trade for him midseason) hostage if they don't want him to walk for nothing after a year (now WHO could he have gotten this bright idea from). But apparently PG13 missed the class where the only owner who can do something like that right now according to Professor Harden himself is (checks notes) Steve Ballmer.
It doesn't make sense for the Sixers to sign and trade for him so PG13 can get his extra $9m. The Sixers would have to give up assets to sign an unrestricted free agent when they have enough cap space to sign him AND overpay him for too many years, which is really stupid. Whatever Morey is, he isn't really stupid, he knows the CBA and he saw this movie last summer. Signing and trading for him instead of signing him outright would hard cap the Sixers and make it impossible to fill out the roster around Embiid, Maxey and George. That's probably why the Sixers are leaking that they have cooled on PG13 -- they don't want any part of a sign and trade and want the George camp to know it's not happening. Since the 2017 CBA that implemented the hard cap, it's why players haven't tried to build top heavy super teams through sign and trades. It's not even a luxury tax issue, it leaves the team with like $20 million for the rest of the season to fill out the entire roster.
I don't think PG13 is a bad guy, but he's a flake. He's a great player but he just doesn't seem to know what he wants with his career except to make a lot of money. Remember OKC was supposed to be a rest stop on his way to signing with the Lakers but then because OKC could offer him more money he suddenly decided coming home was not as important as getting paid every last dime.
