Kid: buys expensive art supplies to “draw better”. Still makes stickmans
JelArts: buys crayons. *Draws lizards and cute bunnies smoothly*
I saw the thumbnail and got excited because I love drawing bugs and I really wanted to see you draw a bee. I'm not done watching, but I love your art, so I'm excited to see you draw with crayons!
Edit: I finished watching. You did a great job with these, I do want to try out crayons in my sketchbooks sometime! Nice work, I love your art.
I love drawing bees! They have such great contrast.
bees are so interesting to draw and this was so cool, I totally agree with you @Pink Lasagna
Your so sweet ❤️
7:37 in my high school mixed media class, we would use white crayon to block off areas we definitely didnt want watercolor on because it would just bead right off the wax. the more you know!
Ah yes, that's a good idea! I do that with easter eggs.
Crayons? *Bought*
Sketchbooks? *Open*
Artblock? *Gone*
Hotel? *Trivago*
That last part- 🤣🤣🤣
I can smell the crayons through the screen 🤣 Love your art btw! ❤️ This is a great idea!
My room had the crayon aroma for a bit haha
@@JelArts lol I kinda like the smell tbh 😄
The childhood art supply!
I love watching your videos you always make me want to try and do any new media ❤️😁🖍
I think the bunny was really nice :)
YOUR A GOOD ARTIST. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.😃
I was looking exactly for smth like this. Thanks
that bee is so cute >o> ahhh
Only you can make crayons seem like a good art supply😂
*yes, yes you can*
Yes I love when artist take it “ back to the basics” I grew up on crayola crayons and I still prefer crayola-colored pencils! I’m actually working on a video using crayola colored pencil to create a new UA-cam avatar! This is cool 😎
Save the bees!
What the heck?! How did you read my mind? I was thinking of drawing later using crayons cuz I haven't used them since elementary school. What a coincidence hehe😂😂😂
How do you feel about a sketch book made of computer paper? Would it have an effect on different art mediums?
I always watch your videos at ×2 speed but I watched like half the video normally without realizing and I was constantly thinking "why does her voice so different? Is she tired?" But then I put it on ×2 speed and you sounded normal lmao
I often wondered what that ultimate Crayola Crayon set looked like 😃😍
I just don’t like the smell of petrol.
Your sketch is really nice 👍😊
*Delicately handling crayons, *me breaks in half, these are so incredible I have no excuse
Can u please make a video about how to get rid of art block? Well i know u did before but please make again? And btw did u notice me? XD
I have and issue with sketching I know everyone can do it but I feel like I can't sketch I've never like sketching it always seemed really difficult because everyone was sketching and drawing things at a higher level than me and now that I'm having issues with artists block it's really difficult
this! was so! inspiring!!!!!! i kinda wanna bust out my crayons and just experiment now. love how you talked about how trying new things is like opening a door. aaaah i just wanna make stuff now hahaha
guess who JUST found a 64 pack....👍this gal
Okay yea but like how is she so good with crayons?
Color theory and practice
@@jonaswood2305 perfect reply! 👌
Okay yah, just color man
Your artwork is so so so inspiring, the bees look ✨✨
I was wondering what to do with my big box of Crayola's, I now have a solution, thank you so much!
PS: Your videos are so educational and entertaining!
don’t stress out about expensive art supplies
when I find myself in times of art block
mother jel arts comes to me
speaking words of wisdom
let it bee ;)
🐝🐝
I’m so excited to watch thiss 😍 your art is always so inspiring 😍😍😍 and I hope to be as talented as you one day 😍😍😍 thank you so much for inspiring me to create my own channel 😍😍😍
Thank you so much!
I never thought crayons could make such nice artwork. You made it work so well. This looks gorgeous!❤❤❤
OMG I just found an old box that has lots of crayons in it and maybe this is a sign that I should use them 💕
Yess do it!
I love how you use colours together!
Youre animal designs are really cute and if you look at them you can see the passion you have for art and all the hard work ! 😇
It was such a helpful Video for me, because I am looking forward to try crayons out and maybe it will help me out with my big artblock at the moment!
Thanks for your great videos, keep up your amazing work and creativity I learned so much from you ! ☺️🐝
The youtuber echo has a way to get the wax out of the way so you can youse the crayons better. It may help with the blending and over laying
She mentioned scratching the wax off in the video, it's still hard to layer.
For me the bunny and the bees are completed pieces! I've drawn animals myself with crayons and nobody can tell what media I used, they look more realistic then my pencil drawings - this medium is a total mystery!
Sketching with crayons is so fun
Just realized you’re left handed
oil pastels are very nice to work with it has more pigment but it depends on your preference if you like a sketchy vibe more then maybe find oil pastels with more wax in them like crayons but oil pastels can also create that type of vibe. Plus you can blend with your fingers with oil pastels.
I didn’t get to choose all my classes this year and I got put into Art 1 and I’m really nervous, any advice?
Try sketching bodily ananotomy for animals and humans don't get into much details until you feel comfortable.
The bees are so cute!! Saw the thumbnail and clicked SO fast. I love the gecko?/lizard? with its tongue out sketch too!!
these bees are so cute
9:33
Is that a pun😃😂😏😋
Hey Jel, I’ve recently gotten into watercolour (inspired by you) and I’m wondering what a good set for a more beginner watercolour artist would be. I have a $50 CAD gift card for amazon so preferably a bit under $50. Thanks! (If it comes with a water brush, even better!)
I have a 100 or something set of them and I thought they were unusable, but they actually look super nice. I will try to use them and maybe make a speedpaint on my channel. Thanks so much for making this video!
I love you style! Your videos are always so relaxing to watch and so inspiring. I also love to use crayons in my sketchbook.
I sketch with crayons to work when it's slow
My coworker had given me crayons and a coloring book because I said I didnt want to do crosswords. I finished the book pretty quickly though
There was sooo much complaining oh my goodness I thought it was going to be a regular old chat a long while sketching. Thanks for the video I guess. The rabbit was cute. I liked the blue shadow mixed on its side.
I tried sketching with crayola colored pencils and it turned out terrible, I haven’t “got gud” yet >~
Watching this while im sketching anatomy studies....with crayons ❤ I was watching your previous video on it and when I was at the art store last week I saw these crayons I really liked when I was a kid and I just? Bought them?? They are really helpful when studying because you can use different colors for different shapes or muscles or lines. Thank you giving them some love and remind us they are actually really cool!!
I love bees. This was really fun. You're very talented.
To break the wax buildup, place a doubled paper towel over the art and use an iron. The wax will wick into the towel and allow you to add another layer. It also gives the art a lovely look.
I have lots of crayons but i'm scared to use it lol this video inspired me to use mine tks!
I have lots of crayons but almost don't use them, I need to use more...
Oh I think I saw my prompt, i suggested Fire, but idk if that's what you were going for but it looked sooooooo cool
Your sketch with crayon is so cute! I love when you use this midia. I use oil pastel for sketch, but I will try crayons
That’s amazing! Made me want to try to use crayons again!
sketch with the blood of your enemies!
i really like the bunny that you did it is so cool
this inspired me to get my crayons out
Those bees are sweet 😊👍 very lovely
I would never guess that sketching with crayons can look this good! The bees look amazing!❤️❤️❤️
Very inspiring!! 😍💞💞💗
I love watching sketchbook sessions. It’s really fun and exciting. 😁
the sketches are so pretty!! i just love your use of colors when you sketch!! so beautifully done
Go for Caran D'ache wax or watersolable crayons. Great pigments AND a LOOOOOT better than Crayola. They are more expensive BUT have a lot of different uses.
AND - they blend beautifully.
Try adding watercolor over your wax drawings - for backgrounds.
love your coloring technique!!
AAAA I waited all day for this! (Its evening here).I love crayons and I bought a small pack of them after watching one of your videos, because I didn't have any and I got super inspired. I can't wait to watch the video!
Thank you JelArts!! Ive got my 100 crayola crayons at a discount for Back to School deals at Walmart last year and I havent been as productive with them. Your video sparked inspiration. Thank you!♥
What are professional crayons? I can only think watercolor crayons and oil pastels on that sense... feels wrong.
Hmm maybe that's the professional equivalent. I remember people telling me about caran d'ache but I just looked them up and they seem to be watercolour crayons.
@@JelArts I have used them before and they really are watercolor crayons. I actually like them, much more than watercolor pencils but I also feel they are a different medium than crayons as we know them (wax). I think a professional version of wax crayons should be waxy as well, just better pigmented and allowing you to do better blending. That's something that would make sense in my head. So, maybe, the professional version is simply using professional non-water-soluble color pencils?
So I've never really seen an artist on UA-cam draw chinchillas. Maybe you could draw those. Love the bees and the little colorful lizard😊❤❤
I'm literally searching how I can make art out of cheap supplies because I'm broke as heck. This video helped a lot.
Oh, this reminds me! I have this giant box of crayons I haven’t used...since... like, 3rd grade, lol. Now that you uploaded this I might try to find them again and try to find a new use for them
ugh why am i always so late to new videos even tho i have notifications on :(,btw every video you do is great still like i say all the time, keep up the amazing work and channel!!!!
*sees the video*
Me: Dangit, I shouldn't have thrown out my crayons from the 3rd grade XD
Your voice is so relaxing. Thank you for not putting music in the backround. Thank you
This came out surprising fast. I literally just saw the Instagram thing. Most artist's ask a question then weeks to months later they post the video.
You really can make amazing things if you k ow how to use the materials correctly even with cheap supplies! Amazing video as always Jel keep up the amazing work!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I tend to be really hard on myself when sketching. I always get frustrated when something comes out not quite how I want it or when my sketches are messy. Watching you sketch, making mistakes, experimenting, just having an overall good time even though your sketches aren’t perfect really made me feel better. Love you’re drawings and your channel! You’re a really great artist!
I think you have such a cute art style and fresh way of using colors 💞 you make the world feel like a beautiful place again, thank you for all you've shared with us ☺️
Anytime I use a reference I look at your channel :D you can be such an inspiration and you help me draw :)
wow ! im scared of crayons but look at you go!!! thats awesome! i should probably try some of those art supplies i hate. i loved the bunny !!🤣😊
I actually was just watching the video you made about getting the 152 crayon pack and then you posted another video for me to watch
First comenting!!
Love your drawings jelarts your amazing!!٩ʕ◕౪◕ʔو
Last time I drew in crayon was when you posted that video. Lol And I ended up drawing the best pair of feet I've ever done. 😂
Why do people dislike this shame on them. But great video, loved it!
It's so much beautyfull, you are amazing.
I havent used crayons since i was a kid now im wondering if i should try them for fun
Love it!
I love fluffy bumbles! So fun, easy and always cute!!! 🐝
im so early that im here before 1000 views and theres only ten comments including mine :3
Love your videos and i hve about bizzilion crayons so its nice to see someone else use them besides me haha
Thanks for all the tips, I’ll try to use crayons more often since they are so cheap!
Does anyone else draw on napkins with crayons when they go to restaurants?
The bunny was so cute! I like that one also, not just the jelly fish and bees, lol
this makes me want to buy a ton of crayons... haha
wow! so much color and texture!
I’m a beekeeper so whenever I see something bee I get so excited 😆
I actually had an art project for class before where we had to use water color and crayons
❤️
I loved the bunny and the jellyfish!
your art style looks so cool with crayons!!
Yay! A new jelarts video!
