@@PoJoTheBackPacker that's the power of linking up
Pojo u make laugh with your pronunciation of papine😅😅😅pa-pine. It's Pa-peen. Love your yaad vlogs, I literally wait for them to upload
THE Guinep is good, once u found it under the guinep tree it's ok. We don't usually wait for them to fall, we climb up and break the branches and make a bunch and eat
😂
@PoJoTheBackPacker hi hope all is well with you .looking forward for more videos
Not his fault it’s the way the word is spelled probably it’s intended pronouncing bc we know Jamaicans ruin words
@@daydosan246 bro what obviously your a hater go f around somewhere else
Po Jo its pronounced Pa-Peen . Lol!!! 🤣🤣🤣💕💕💕💕.

PRAISE THE LORD! Oh my soul!!
I won’t be quiet!
My Yah is alive!
How could I keep it inside?!
The most powerful part of this video! Gave me chills!
It was pretty nice lol
Hope you get some food soon, people are still working on getting things back up from the Hurricane. It might be difficult for stores to purchase produce from farmer's markets because these farmers come from the country parts of the island (St. Elizabeth, and Clarendon, are farming parishes and they were hit badly).
Yes i heard on the news they got it the worst. I hope everyone’s okay🙏🏽🙏🏽 but yes tmrw i will buy fruits and things from the local market
Use the broken piece you just had in your hand to scoop out the inside😊
Copy that

Thank you for sharing this video after the storm. My boyfriend lives in Montego Bay and I haven't heard from him since Wednesday abt 3pm....I've heard power is out but this video helped to reassure me, Jamaica is strong and I'm sure he is okay. Thanks Jo, one love ❤️
Appreciate you! So far on the island we haven’t heard about anything too crazy i hope your boyfriend and family is okay 👌🏽
@PoJoTheBackPacker awww, thank you so much Jo. Much appreciated. Keep the videos coming, they really help. The news is not covering enough for us to be informed but your videos are most helpful. ❤️
You are absolutely doing a great job pojo and your channel is growing extremely fast 👏 keep up the great work young 👍 man indeed
Thank you for watching yea the people of Jamaica are awesome
Thanks for the update hun, and for keeping us all in the know.

The work you've put in is great and sophisticated . Its a good look on yutube. Im UK 🇬🇧 .
Tips : bun is eaten also with a spread of butter when we have no cheese.
Patty is combined with cocoa bread straight from the oven very nice.
Coconut jelly full of mineral you can eat the jelly inside ask next time about it ftom the seller.

Another great video, full of vybz 😂
Thank you very much hope all is well!
You have the right attitude to deal with local Jamaicans. A little bit of kindness, warm and engaging, but still assertive and aware. Keep it up, because if they smell fear dwag nyam yu suppa.
Thank you
Beach after a hurricane is a no no. Or any water body as a matter of fact. Be safe out there
Imma be honest i had no idea
SAW YOU ON Jessica Cargill's youtube....enjoy the island...keep safe
Thank you very much for the support 👌🏽
@Po'Jo The Backpacker Great Vlogs...FYI...it is Ackee where the "a" is like the word "Actor" otherwise if you try to speak like us with your American English in your head it sounds like "okee" The name of the place is pronounced Papeen - it is how you pronounce Papine. Again we speak British "influenced" English. You speak American English any language - French, Spanish, etc. you do not change the pronunciation of People, Places and Things. What does a Jamaican look like? If you saw me, or my other relatives unless I tell you even those living in Jamaica to a foreigner with very limited knowledge would not say Jamaican. We are multi-culture AND multi-ethnic- from Tiano, to Spanish, East Indian to Scottish, Lebanese to German, Syrian to British, Irish to Chinese - National Motto: Out of Many, One People. FYI...you and even Jess are some of the everyday Jamaicans of my day (reside in USA over 40 years) ....since then, more mixing. 85% of the African "looking" or Black --using US Social Construct used to uphold segregation after the Civil War - are MIXED. DNA doesn't lie, know the history of the people and the reason the Motto is so important. FYI...Bob Marley is "possibly" half white, his mother presented as Black; however, because we hold Africa in such high esteem, she could have been mixed as well.
Very interesting
Going to Irish Town seems so risky because parts of the road could be washed out. That area has had land slides.
@@kuyahkudey3217 yes i didn’t end up going
YesNuhMaN I love the work you are doing bro
Big ups i appreciate you!
This hurricane had no effect on uptown only rain
Yea from what i see this is true.. i could only get to certain areas because of roads being blocked so i figured i would just do a little roaming around.
Po Jo, you could also link up with Tiffany Silver, another Famous Jamaican Female UA-camr
I’ll reach out to her
Greetings happy you enjoy Jamaica, nuff love
Thank you it was so nice meeting you i swear haha! I hope you get power soon
Good to see Kingston didn’t get hit hard. And love how u had to let the people know”they were out of cheese” before everyone would say you gotta try it with cheese!! 😅😂 I really wanna try that bun with cheese based on the comments always
Yo it’s fire
That group on the waterfront appears to be a Church Mission Group from up North. This happens ever so often in Jamaica.
Ahh very interesting
@@PoJoTheBackPackerit’s a church group .. I brought them from the airport

Very cool to see Bob Marley beach bro 🤙🏼🤙🏼 I bet he liked that beach because it was hard to get to. Playing soccer on beach in peace
It was little difficult to get too lol
Yes scrape it out and eay ir❤
Okay i will next time !
Hope you find a good meal PoJo.
I did find one thank you
Thanks for the update Po'Jo ❤❤❤
Thank you for watching
Thanks for the update and glad to see the calm skies. If you don't have a spoon for the coconut usually the vendor will slice off an outer piece that you can use as a spoon. And try roasted breadfruit - usually filled with salt beef or salt fish and butter. Delicious!
If roasted breadfruit is stuffed with beef imma go crazy.. pauseee
Love your videos there helping me prepare for my trip over there... keep grinding kid
Thank you my bro
Po'jo you definitely making me look bad as a Jamaican, 2 Jamaica trips within 3 months (not to mention during a hurricane!!!) and I haven't been back in many years...😅
😭😭😭 yo im sorry i had to
Big up bredda nuff respect 1👍🇯🇲
Big ups 🙏🏽
Blessings bro
Thank you
Glad you’re safe, PoJo! Yes, rip or break off a hard enough piece of the coconut and use it as a spoon to eat the jelly. I like to put some brown sugar in it and eat it with the jelly! 😋
Ok i will try this
Good to see you well though🙏🏾❤ Try the bun with your sausages next time

From my experience Mothers is one place I can count on to be open. Circle K is in Jamaica? That’s interesting.

True it was mainly rain
In Kingston that is
Seeing Downtown Kingston reminded me of going down there to do some business. I hardly go downtown but it was interesting.
Pojo, you should have gone to see what was going on with the singing.
It was a church group lol
Fry breadfruit is my favorite too.
Especially when it's turn, that's close to ripe. I didn't get to tell you when you were eating your plantain porridge, that you should try and get the peanut porridge too, it's the best, can get it at juici patties too.
Okay I’ll try this
I live in Mobay. It's currently 2:16am and I'm still without electricity!!
Have you guys got power? My other friend in mo bay said he got power last night
Good to see everyone is ok over there!! I like the hostel you’re stay at, please show it more in detail, how much is it to stay there? Please show us Irish Town when you can get there , aswell as many more places inland where tourists won’t normally get to! Cheers!🍺🍺
Thank you my bro and it’s 20 a night
@@PoJoTheBackPacker thanks , cool 😎

Appreciate you
The south end of the island got it really bad.
The calm before the storm. Kingston was somewhat spared.
Yes very true
Food places would be closed right after the hurricane even though it didn't affect Kingston badly. The hotel is called R.O.K. just by the letters not a word sound
Thank you
i was meant to fly out to jamaica yesterday but flight canceled
Yes... Airports scheduled to open on Sat 6th. Whenever you get here, Welcome 🤗 🇯🇲💕

PoJo, you have survived the hurricane. How and where did you go for cover?
Yes I’m safe
It depends, growing up I used to like it boiled but as I got older. I started to like fried breadfruit.
Fried is the best
Ayee stay dry fam!
Always
My boy got 5k followers 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you
Bob marley beach wont be accessible soon ...there are plans to build a large hotel on that property...
I feel like i potentially seen construction but this was after the hurricane so i don’t know i could be tripping… but are you serious ? That’s crazy
I’m not fan of the coconut flesh on green coconuts but the browner ones the flesh will be hard and easier to eat (also roasting coconut meat from brown coconuts so good bro)
I heard roasted is very good
@@PoJoTheBackPackerso good bro. Highly recommend. But best with the brown shell coconut flesh which is hard
You should try linking up with TopLodge too and even Jamaica Food Boss.
I never heard of toplodge.. i messaged food boss but doesn’t read his dms
did you feel any of the strong winds during the hurricane?
Nah didn’t feel any strong winds just rain
PoJo sadly Jamaicans can’t really use their own beaches.
Yes i know. I actually got a bad reception coming down to bob marley beach lol but it’s all good i was chillen
I was wondering what you were doing during the hurricane.
I was staying inside
That slice of breadfruit was too thick. If the breadfruit is turned (partially ripe), it is even better
Ahh okay
Pomo my Dad’s family is from St Elizabeth

Where you gonna travel in the USA for $2US? Chill man. It's not a steal. Travel by route taxi is pretty reasonable islandwide. Yuh gud
Relax yourself i was asking if it was a good price for where i went.
That price was a pretty good fare man to 8 or 9mile bull bay yeah 👍. Aleast your out and about and it looks like you have some good company, chill vibes anyway. Take it easy PJ, later.
@@PoJoTheBackPackerdon’t pay dem nuh mind a so some a dem tan.

So people caan ask for context and insight anymore? Did he say from a place of arrogance? Some a unno fi gweh!
Delete this. A “steal” means you got a good deal. It’s such a good deal, you feel like you robbed the person. Lol, You need to chill!!! ☠️
Its a missionary group. They all over the island!
Very interesting
Yes, people go to Bob Marley Beach. The day after the hurricane is not a good day to go to the beach.
I was unaware it’s not a good day the weather seemed okay and along with exploring i wanted to show fellow Jamaicans what the situation was. But if i risked myself or made a fund decision i take responsibility 👌🏽
@PoJoTheBackPacker The waters were a bit rough and was not good for swimming. Most Jamaicans go on the weekends but I know that you like it by yourself 😊. The UA-camr Coco Girl was living on the beach there for a while back which I think was a bit brave of her.
@@mdl9096 she was living down here? Haha that’s crazy
