I swear Puddin, just when you top your previous hilarity and leave us thinking, "Man, how can he top this?", you bring in Slick and keep us rolling! Awesome videos buddy!
We missed the show today. We lost our home and everything inside. Due to a fire that started from a battery for my cordless drill. My 4 year old and wife made it out . Just nearly. I was at work. I had 6 puddin shirts in my closet I lost. Really bummed. My wife said we can get more sometime. Were laying at my mothers tonight trying to relax after today. My son lost all his toys. Breaks my heart. So were watching this now to try to cheer up.
I've been working on and off at a salvage yard since I was 7 years old. Love roaming a yard in search of treasures. My two cents on your loadstar dilemma - just grab the red body if it's solid. Never know what you might need for yours and it's not like they are gonna make any more any time soon.
It's good for u to bring in a change up like Slick every once in a while. Hopefully he can become regular on your channel in the upcoming future. Puddin Yankum Ropes should be one of your sponsor. Someone's own junk is another man's treasure.
❤ Y'all are all having too much fun! That's a good couple days! 😆👍👍👍👍 had my shirt on today while watching! Slick 50, Kenny!, Brandon, Heath, it's a whole crew of shenanigans! Towrolla is a TROOPER!
For me it was me and Grandpa, most yards now won’t let anyone under 16 . When my Daughter was 14 and 15 I would tell her to say “dang it, I didn’t bring purse” Worked every time.
nothin like the old FOD walkdown eh! love this show!!! love mortske s show!! love the fact you guys hold each other hostage for parts.good business my friend.
You should get that red truck, paint it up. Turn it into a recovery rig/ towing eye candy for the new place. You've got too much space at your new shop. You'll needa fill it with some nice eye candy! I was also thinkin, you should maybe consider buying an old ambulance if you ever see a good one for a good price. They are essentially just spacious box trucks 😁Both of them would be good shirt materials too. Ambulance could be a portable workshop for a load of your tools etc.
Man you guys have come a long way since John's little garage!!! Wish y'all the best in the new year. I'm really glad I got to follow you guys on the old tube over the years. I'm forever a fan.
A little trivia. The Nova and Apollo weren’t the only models. There was also the Pontiac Ventura and the Oldsmobile Omega. If you use their first initials together it spells NOVA.
@22:13 the first car i cut up for part was a 73-74 Nova, i had a 69 with bad hit Quarter panels covered in bondo and i picked up the73/4 and it was a very clean 73/4 and I CUT that thing into pieces. I got a trunkpan both quarters sold the front clip for 5 times what i paid for the full car gave the guy the windshields front and back and took the disk breaks off of it and put them on my 69. Ended up selling the 69 for a bunch more than i paid for it and gave the guy all the extras to fix it. I really wish I didn't cut the 73 up, its worth a hell of allot more now
Good video bud. Btw that blue C-10 with the fancy power steering reservoir. The reason it has that is they ran that style PS tank on the trucks that had factory A/C for location purposes. Just thought id share.
Man I am so happy that you settled everything with hot rod and I can tell that she loves you so much you are such a great dad I love the videos and great content keep up the good work.
Yal should take a long bed fleetside bed and a couple of fenders off of a step side to make a bed for that dually. Then air ride and steelies with a 4bt cummins.
here's the deal with the valve covers - GM put that style on ALL of their V6 powered trucks in the early 60's. If you watch Waylon Wire's channel and his GM V12 rat rod build, that V12 has FOUR of those valve covers - it's like it's two V6 motors welded together, but it's a single block casting with four cylinder heads.
I ran the scale in a junkyard for years. That was the happiest time in my life. I loved being in the junkyard every day. You never knew what you would find.
I ain't mad that Puddin got a buddy in his videos. It adds more "funny" and good helpin of "I enjoy that". 'Course, I ain't mad at him workin by himself neither.
There is a trick for clearancing wheels, put a stack of magazines on the wheel and then push down on the body. It'll stretch the fender out so it won't rub anymore. I learned that trick from Hoonigan for their slammed cars but I bet it'll help the towrolla.
My first truck was a hand me down from my dad. It was a 1963 GMC step side pickup. When we got it, it had that 305 V-6 with those same valve covers! I was in junior high when he got that truck. We pulled that motor and put a 327 in it with a turbo 400. I wish I still had that truck.

Always patiently waiting for the new videos and my okie brain just realized there was a plethora of old videos I hadn’t seen! Thanks to you I’ve experienced Taco Boy! Keep up the hard work and love the new shop and all the videos of you putting it together.

When you have strap hanging loose from your ratchet strap, tie the extra up like you’re crocheting. That way when you are ready to unstrap, you just pull the end of the strap and it comes loose easily. Hope that makes sense.

I had an old Jeep J-200 Pickup. It had the 230 ci Tornado straight 6 Engine. That engine was a monster. It has a Brass gear for the distributor. That gear is hard to find if not impossible. I needed one and it took me almost a year to find one. They shipped it from Maine to me in California. I loved that old truck.
I had a Brand New Old stock spare tire my suburban from 1998 and never used. Late night leaving the black Mesa we're taking that two wheel suburban all over the back lands. Just side pull off take a picture of this cross formation ran over a sharp Rock. Pumped it up with my trusty air compressor we drove down the road. We stopped but that brand new spare from 1998 on the back end of that suburban and 2 mi is through the rubber off for the next 10 miles we stopped over 2 mi to air it up if my trusty air compressor. Then we put the one I had a slit in the tire tread back on it after airing it up so we didn't have to stop about every 5 miles air it up. What made me remember this story is that one that you showed in the back of the suburban or whatever it was as fairly new. But you can see how good the cords was.
Anytime I'm having a bad day, you pop up in my feed....... And everything gets better. Dude thanks for the motivation to get my s*** done and also the smiles. Killer dance moves by the way
Every dollar you spend on this stuff keeps you away from having a nice model A hot rod. I've seen a impala wagon that could use the money as well. You started as a hot rod and custom channel and it would be nice to see you at it again. You're choice, wish you the best.
He said he has 90% of the parts the the model A hot rod, still needs content till then, most his cars are future projects they all needs parts, to have content!? Good buddy :)
I love scrap yard. never run out stuff or people visiting you. ANY of you old timer's out there want to see your LIFES hard work live on // not be crushed this veteran will move south and or west to take over your yard. No questions hand down. That NOVA looked ln pretty good shape. Blue chevy was also nice find, not many Dent sides, must all be on the road still.
I love those Plaid valve covers! Out of curiosity does anyone know how they applied that design back in the day? To me they look hydro dipped but was hydro dipping around back then? First time I ever saw a set of them was on Waylon Wire’s UA-cam on his V12 GMC Rat Rod and I just though they were too cool!

Hey Puddin...
Let me tell you a story about old Holley carburators....
Those off the shelf kits don't always work correctly on the old factory installed Holley carburators, because the gaskets don't always have the correct holes for the fuel and vacuum ports on the metering blocks,
I discovered this about 15 years ago when I had rebuilt a factory installed Holley carburetor that was on a Y block engine in a 1957 Thunderbird.
I had trouble with it running too lean and surging, and after a bit of investigation discovered that the gaskets were wrong,.
I then ordered the proper carburetor kit, going by carburetor model and serial numbers and make and model of vehicle, and after installing that kit the engine ran great.
So my best advice is to only use after market Holley carburator kits for after market Holley carburators
For the best results.
Tim from Wisconsin.
I had an old Jeep J-200 Pickup. It had the 230 ci Tornado straight 6 Engine. That engine was a monster. It has a Brass gear for the distributor. That gear is hard to find if not impossible. I have one of those exact Clark forklifts you came across in that junkyard. I use it daily, it's old and leaks oil but doesn't miss a beat.

What made me remember this story is that one that you showed in the back of the suburban or whatever it was as fairly new. But you can see how good the cords was.
