This has to be the most underrated survival horror game ever. I mean open world, secret bosses, replay value, crafting, upgrading and the list goes on. It is my dream come true😍

Sadly, this game was subject to bad marketing along with a pathetic release window (faced by tough competition). Still, those who play this game are bound to fall in love with it. Kudos to Shinji Mikami.
Love the concept of secret boss as well it was very creepy.
This game tied a lot of loose ends and questions I had after the first game. And I think I’ll vote Sebastian Castellanos for survival horror king.

@@SAusEplays he didn't have to to the second time aswell. Guy fought through hell to get to his daughter. He literally became the strongest person in Union not through strength or shit but his own Sher will. Fucking legend is all I gotta say really.

I can easily say it's my favorite game, it has a the last of us type of maneuvering and sneaking. It's just so well put. ITS TOO GOOD!!

I loved this game trailer, I remember smashing that replay button over and over again back when it premiered.
The Evil Within is in my opinion the best survival horror game of the past generation.
Finished the game a long time ago, but I often come back just to watch this trailer. Masterpiece!

Yeah, I agree. Kind of an bummer that they didn’t even do an DLC for the game, since they kind of hinted at it, when they revealed that Joseph is alive near the end of the game.

I understand how emotionless the dialogue can be a times, but Sebastian is definitely one of the most underrated protagonists of the 2010s.
He was a fun archetype in the first game but in the second, he became an actual character. And while I preferred his voice actor, I still got swept in the emotion of his story in the second. Those last two levels were frickin' moving as hell.

Unpopular opinion: This game series is almost (if not just) as good as The silent hill games. It really blows that the second game flopped commercially so they probably won't make another. Lets hope Microsoft has enough faith in the series to make a third one

@@nmartell1007 it flopped massively. the release window was terrible, the competition between other games was very tough. They had a delay with the release too making it worse. If I’m aware Evil with 2 only managed to get 1/5 the sales as Evil within 1.
@@deviljho4260 That is super surprising since this trailer is probably the best cinematic trailer for a horror game of all time. I would've figured that anyone who liked horror games and has seen this trailer would've wanted to pick it up immediately.

Found its story slightly lacking, but I had so much funnnnn. Way more tense than the first, and some mechanics were improved. Here's hoping there's a part 3!
I'm bummed how they didn't follow up with the first games ending though. Like Ruben is basically still around in anothers body and gosh who knows what this guy is doing while 2 plays out. Also Joseph basically being still missing and Sebastian trusting Juli a bit too easily after what happened

I fell in love with this game when I first got it, eventually Platinumed it (frickin Classic mode was harder than EW1 Akumu!) 6 years later and my partner has finished it for the first time so I showed him this trailer, kind of like a send off. The game is so beautiful and to reiterate other comments, this is how a trailer should be. It's like a music video and it gives me chills even now! Cudos all round for Evil Within

Tryed to copy RE4? Dude what are you talking about? That's what the first game did except it didn't pretty damn poorly.
Also while you can abuse stealth in this game I feel it's evened out by the fact the enemies are way more aggressive then they used to be in the first game. Facing them head on in most cases would probably lead to your death.
