This small SUV was never a big seller, and Ford has been losing money on it for some time. As a result, the company is focusing on other, more popular vehicles with consumers.
The reason why the EcoSport is getting discontinued is that there are / will be no plants available to build it. I believe it was a decent seller in some parts of the world where sub-compacts are more common. EcoSport was never intended to be huge seller in North America where Ford has many other SUV's competing against it.
I have an '18 SES with the 2.0 liter engine, automatic and paddle shifters. It's a great little CUV, especially in the snow.

This was sold in the United States 2018 - 2022 model years. You should be able find some new 2022's in dealer lots in 2023.
