I own this machine for 6 years, a Diesel 1.5 Liter in India. Still runs like new and I even did a Stage 1 remap and the engine is now a beast! Sad Ford left India.
I still enjoy mine after nearly 2 yrs, bit pricey and the fuel economy isn't great but its very snappy compared to other 1.0 turbos, very safe and excellent resale value.
I have the 1.0 EcoBoost gas version that's on recall from 2020 in the SE trim without the blind spot system, with blindspot mirrors and no factory navigation. Minus the oil pump recall, its fine for me as a single male, never been married or have kids approaching mid 40s. I just wish it didn't have the 2 pillars in the front were not there where it can sometimes be a blindspot if not careful. I get over 32 MPH overall.
I spoke to local Ford dealer here because I had heard about the discontinuance of the EcoSport, and it is only those that are built in India. The Titanium and the rest that are built in Europe will still be produced.
im looking at these now and cant decide as i had a cx3 and it was fantastic just silent but had a dpf fault so it went back, not sure if i should get ecosport, Captur or a focus. I would get a cx3 2.0L but i assume being a 2.0L it will drink petrol and cost more to insure ?? too much choice on the market,
Haval H1. Cost me R179 000 - 1.5 engine (very fuel efficient - and no turbo lag!) - cruise control - reverse radar - front/rear fog lights - oh, and the spare tyre is INSIDE the boot! And take the R200 000 you save and invest it!
Trully i love this car & your British accent too! Mam... & i like your Presentation loud and Clear... i love you just the way you Are become better & better... Wish you luck tc!pls.
I dont understand why South Africa never brought the 2.0 liter petrol engine to South Africa that was made available in Russia! I have driven every one of the Ecosport models and i found them all to be lacking in power although i found the car itself to be one of the best on the market!.
The average type of person who chooses to buy an EcoSport is not usually the type of person trying to race on the freeway. Those who want powerful cars are all in Ford rangers or BMWs. Crossover owners are usually more sensible and family orientated people who's only concern for performance is that their car should be able to do 140kph on the freeway and be light on fuel.
How i wish and Pray to have my own One this ford Ecosport... Nice great Presentation ms. Juliet your so Cool trully i enjoy everything you are. take care always pls... Mmmhuwaaah!
This model has remained largely unchanged for nearly 10 years. The EcoSport is becoming increasingly outdated and outsmarted by other manufacturers in the segment. It was an amazing car when it first launched, but Ford has not kept up with the times on this model and it's seriously starting to show. There are simply too many other better options, as Juliet mentions in this video. It's a no from me on the EcoSport Active, I'm afraid.
Jeez Juliette...you blinded me with that gorgeous stone on your finger...I could not concentrate any longer....Have you already received your inheritance from Lizzy 😅
The 2000s called and asked for their compact SUV back. I find it insulting that Ford keep dumping this EcoSport on our market, when other countries get the much nicer Ford Puma. It just feels to me like Ford are strangling the design as much as possible as their options in SA dwindle to basically just the Ranger. I'll stick with my Peugeot 2008 anyday thank you very much.
I am convinsed that Ford is dumping unsold stock here. It has already been discontinued elceware. I had a 2014 model and dispite issues with the deul clutch transmission, i kept on bumping into the spare on the back door. I became so iritated with the car but my wife liked it's looks.
Wouldn't want to be on the same road as you!!! Concentration on driving doesn't appear to be your main strength... Looking at yourself on camera however seems to be...😉
Quality low. Fuel economy not great. Not very reliable. Expensive. Honestly don't know how Ford still sell them in the numbers they do 🤔 Can only think its because many people don't do proper research or shop around and compare enough.
Not very reliable??? VERY RELIABLE… Built like a tank… very precise steering, compared to sonet or venue… drinks a lot of fuel but maintenance cost is low… Also, built like a tank, have witnessed 3 ecosport accidents in India, the passengers and drivers have always been safe… Lastly, feels like a big car but is actual very small- so great at turning radius and easy to park…
I will never buy a outdated design which has been on the road for many years. OK they have replaced the horrible, typical Ford, cheap 'spaceship design' dashboard and they have changed the front but the rest is the same. There are plenty of newer small SUV's on the market.
@@rdeaconsa Small, not smaller. Small means lighter, drives better, is more economical, is cheaper. My kids are in their late 20s so I don't need that much space. I am tall and big so I don't want to crawl in and out of my car. I also need a bit if ground clearance
Not so great anymore. Does Ford even have any newer models rather than rehashed, updated 10 year olds? They've canned all their newer/newish cars. Figo, Fiesta, Focus, Kuga, ... 🤷♂️
Old and ugly . The way we all are going . Brezza and Magnite better equiped , modern looks , use less petrol , much more reliable . No thanks! Even the Opel crossland is a much better buy at this overinflated price.
Eish... but the cruiser/Brezza have no turbo, and they are prone to that fuel injector issue. Then magnite has that thing with the locks 🔒, I was so annoyed test driving it. Couldn't imagine living with it. But I'd say the premium 3 is T-Cross, CX-3 and Creta, then the sub compacts is Venue, Ecosport, Brezza/Cruiser. Some of these have been discontinued so maybe we all just wait for the replacements. 😅
@@TheAvela I disagree massively. The duster is a Jeep type look and looks great to me. Then factor in the excellent dci engine and the fact that the Duster 4x4 can actually do some decent off-road work makes it a bargain. Dusters have generated quite the following in the off-roading community like the Jimny which is very compromised.
@@pornokid333 I don't know about that hey. I hear different reviews and I see A LOT of older models on the road too. But I'll probably be in Subaruland in 5 years

Sadly this was the best sub compact SUV sold in the Indian market, till Ford India decided to wrap up operations completely 😭😭

In the US, you can get 4WD and a 2.0 engine. It is a great car for a snowy winter. Mine is an 18 with the winter package and paddle shifters. Love it.
Such a great little car with all the features you need and best of all, it’e not CVT…

it is discontinue in our country in Nepal😒😒
I generally enjoy mine after 4 years and 95,000km. My only gripe is that ALL 4 door panels creak now and it's annoying as hell.

So this is now pretty much the only small passenger car you can get from Ford

No middle arm rest ( cubby ) like this model have in overseas markets..... but hey FordSA is fully fledged US bean counter company😏
Ford has discontinued the Figo, Fiesta and the diesel ecosport. And apparently the other ecosport models are going to be discontinued next year.
