    I can't wait for this system to be available. I know the phrase "game changer" gets used alot but this thing truly is! And local guys to boot

    Why is everyone so hooked on speed. Slow and steady is safer and less noise.

    Looked like y'all were having fun. Man its so funny I just posted (a couple hours before this one) a video on climbing with a climbing platform using the S.M.A.R.T. method. Title is (Climbing Platform??) I think the Quick Climber is going to get more climbing stand hunters into saddle hunting. Neat the way Greg drops the line down for Seth to go up on. Cool video keep it up.

    How well can you get around limbs with that? I switched from a Lone Wolf hand climber to a saddle because it severely limited the trees I could set up in.

      We can go around limbs fairly easily. We have a video showing that on our channel. Check us out!!!

      This is a cool setup, I worry about trees that taper a lot. I ordered something last year from barren ridge that was kinda similar and that was the issue for me. No matter what tree, there was adjustments needed at the top. It is a great idea. And eventually they will or someone will make it better than it is now. I also moved on from my hand climber, added a lwcg .5 and a saddle setup so I can hybrid hunt. A lot more realistic for what I’m looking for. I know this will be great for some and bad for others. It’s just another tool that can be used. I may pick one up to try it out.

      Yeah I like a 5 step aider on it because it gets you away from the bottom of the tree and the platform is more likely to be close to that setup when at hunting night

    Try it in a straight tree!

    Too much noise and its even windy. Saddle hunting for me is gnarly trees that i can blend in to. I think i stand out too much on naked trunk of tree. Also i dont need the height with traditional longbow so i have better shot angle. If thats your typical tree in your area then i say probably descent set-up.

      People say we’re too loud, so we show a video of making zero noise then we’re too slow so we show going fast then we’re too loud lol. They say we can’t go around limbs so we show that then they say it’s too much fiddle factor so we show how simple it is 😂😂

    • @ggcoutdoors
      @ggcoutdoors  Місяць тому +1

      It’s one of those things you really need to experience for yourself if all possible but I had all those same concerns until I tried one.

    Ive gotten really good at hunting off the ground but it sure is easier shooting unnoticed out of a tree. Thanks for sharing. Can never have too many tools.

    One thing I would also incorporate is a lazy tether between the platform and my harness. You wouldn't want to watch you platform slide down the tree and get separated. I even incorporate this on my 2 piece climber. Accidents do happen and it's an easy solution.

    • @ggcoutdoors

      Great thing is you can just repel down if that happens

    The man with the sticks is extremely slow. Did you cam down immediately when reaching the top? It was hard to see from the video. It would be interesting to see a more realistic silent climb with someone who is more proficient with climbing sticks and or a one stick. A true exhibition climb has to be in an assumed scenario of dead silent woods in the dark with the hunter in complete stealth mode. Speed definitely takes a second place to stealth. Thanks for the video.

    Nice fair comparison video, and honesty about sticks, but the noise is a deal breaker for me. I can get to 25 feet in 3 minutes with 2TC, and not make any metallic noises.

      That’s exactly what I thought, I bet I could take my old climber up and down either of those trees faster than both of those setups

    • @ggcoutdoors
      @ggcoutdoors  Місяць тому

      Only thing about that is they don’t lock to the tree with a center post and aluminum creeks

    Could you do o timed climb with the 1-sticking method?

    • @Pantherplatforms

      Yes we can, if we can find someone who is very efficient at one sticking!!!

    • @ggcoutdoors
      @ggcoutdoors  Місяць тому

      I find having something underneath me all the time is comforting and less chance for something to go wrong. But i don’t one stick personally. I have tried it and don’t like using the aider that high up

    • @raynorgilliam1055
      @raynorgilliam1055 Місяць тому +1

      I would do it again with someone efficient with sticks then. If I took that long to get on first stick I would quit hunting period.

      @Pantherplatforms Місяць тому

      @@tanker1861 truth be told a conventional climber bottom or top is not designed for this application. I understand you think the cost is high and that’s fine, our system is not for you. I’m just glad I have one lol

      @@Pantherplatforms Not designed for this application!? It's the same danged thing. I've been using a climber bottom for well over four years now with my saddle. No issues. Your system doesn't introduce anything revolutionary that a conventional climber bottom doesn't have except for the fact that it changed the way people think about getting up a tree and using what tools they already have.
