Been watching you for a quite while and you have inspired me to go back and finish my PPL. Had about 11 hours of flight time back in 2003 but was just not the right time in my life. Now it is. I love the learning process and you have made the training aspect SO FUN!!! You have quite the gift of communication with your students and the audience. I credit you and your page for rekindling the flying fire in my heart. 6 hours into my current training and just LOVING it. Thank you!

This is so cool, this reminds me of flight school. She did a lot of the things I did and reminded me of a lot of fundamentals but also how far I've come.

She is going to be a good pilot, very confident! And a quick learner. Lew, dont you wish they were all that good? Of course the instructor has a Hell of a lot to do with it.
Great video. I like this student - she's got it. I loved it when she said she liked stalls. When my CFI was teaching me stalls he also made me let go of the yoke completely to show me the plane would fly itself out of the stall if I didn't screw it up. I got to liking stalls. My instructor got tired of me asking if we could work on some more stalls when we were out to work on other aspects of flying. I'd do what he wanted to do and then ask for more stall work. He caught on to me. 🙂 Great introduction into the rudder as preventive medicine as well as correction. Cool video.

I remember sitting with my instructor at his desk having mock ATC communications when I was a student. She’s going to be fine.
Whatever it takes to get it learned! It’s not easy at first.
I've noticed in the last couple of videos with new students, their first radio calls have been after the run up, where I know you used to do the first one pre-taxi, before the run up. Any reason you made that switch?

😂 you can tell your wife that the hair is cut and the beard is nearly all gone. I had to keep a bit as a keepsake.
