The main characters in this story are: The main character, Momonga (Ainz), is an undead Albedo is a succubus. Shalltear Bloodfallen - vampire. Sebas (the butler) - dragonoid (a mixture of dragon and human) Cocytus (that huge blue bug) - Insectoid, a hybrid of mantis and ant Demiurge (the demon in the red suit) - Archdiabol Aura Bella Fiora - girl, dark elf Mare Bella Fiora - a boy, also a dark elf, and brother of Aura And yes, the main characters can be considered villains. Their actions are certainly not good. P.s. Especially the Demiurge.
Their actions are not Good. But Ainz´s main goal is not evil per se, just his methods. Which makes it waaay more gray, the only reason people call Ainz a villains its because he isnt following a strict moral code. He can be extremely scary when he gets angry, or extremely good when you get on his good side, like, he will NEVER betray a good ally.
They're just the Addams Family ramped up to the max. They have all different levels of morality and ethics, but are loyal to each other first. Outsiders actually might be protected by the fact that harm to them could hurt their image, depending on your standing. After all, they are perfect compared to lesser forms of life. 😁 Watch the show or read the novels, it's a real masterpiece.
Overlord looks like an Isekai, but it's actually mostly a genre that could be described as "black comedy", kind of like the Adams Family, where there's a set world, with set rules... but suddenly a group of crazy people arrive and turn everything upside down.
Technically the MC isn't evil.. He just wants his people to be safe so he acts and reacts to keep everyone safe.. Just like any "civilization" some consider one as bad and other good depending on which side you are on.. The MC can be your best firend or your greatest enemy depending on howw you deal with him and his guild..
The art for the endings is all hand drawn by artist so-bin, who also did all the art for the original novels, the man’s art is out of this fuckin world, is so beautiful
The protag starts out good. His allies are questionable... Demiurge(glasses wearing demon) being most evil of them. But as the series goes on, the protag slowly loses more of his morals it feels as he focuses on his goals.
Just so you don't get bait and switched. It's less that he loses his morals and more that he becomes more confident in his position and no longer has to be careful to not upset anyone's moral sensibilities. Initially he doesn't fully grasp where he stands in the world, but once he's gathered enough info and knows some supreme deity isn't going to descend from the heavens and banish him to the shadow realm its pretty much him doing what he wants without caring about any ethical consequences. Think of it like a villain who has a soft spot for kids and small animals. He might give those things one more chance then he'd give anything else (which is often 1 or 0) but if they would get in his way or happen to be at a place he intends to destroy then it's a shrug and he's already moving on.
i seen hundreths of anime series and this series is the best one i seen its got the biggest cast of characters i ever seen in an anime somany that you might need to keep notes to remember them all
This is story with an Evil protagonist in his conquest of the wold. When I said Evil I mean murdering innocent children , committing genocides and evil heinous acts against the innocents type Evil . Yeah, they are the bad guys here.
The reason the endings sound better than some openings, as well as the graphic variation in some scenes, is because they invested waaaaay more at the sound design, soundtrack and voice actors than the animation itself. We have some beautiful scenes, but huge armies are usually questionable CGI.
if you are watching overlord for action you might not find exactly what you want, this isnt an action fighting series this has huge world building in fact most episodes there will be no fighting at all i would say every 3 or 4 eps you get a good fight but again this show is not about mindless fighting if thats what you want go watch onepiece or DBZ this is very political drama heavy
Ah, no, I just call every fight scene 'action' for the lack of descriptive words on my part 😄 And I don't need action to be entertained, as long as the characters and story are interesting.
Ayee~ same taste music as mine (≧▽≦) I like most opening 4th too and then the 3rd. It have 4 seasons with 13 episodes each. Also confirmed The Movie, but not yet mentioned when it will come. And "probably" about 2 seasons left to go.

Ok, so I wasn't that far with my assessments, that's good 😄

@@jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj454 the fact that Pandora actor is a creation of Momonga and is dressed as a Nazi is pretty telling of his morals
No cuts and giving each op and ed an explanation what a rare finding, great reaction 👌
Thank you, I'm happy to hear that ☺️
4:31 has a clear rambly cut, probably more in there xD
Overlord looks like an Isekai, but it's actually mostly a genre that could be described as "black comedy", kind of like the Adams Family, where there's a set world, with set rules... but suddenly a group of crazy people arrive and turn everything upside down.
That sounds really intriguing actually 😄
comparing Overlord to Adams Family is so brilliant that icant believe that this is not a common thing among the fandom
Oh my god thank you! This really is a nice analogue.
Never thought of it like that
Technically the MC isn't evil.. He just wants his people to be safe so he acts and reacts to keep everyone safe.. Yeah, I thought it could be something like that, that's why I was putting quotation marks around the "bad guys" "good guys"
Everything is relative.
Well…. About that…. Uhhhhh………. Hmmmm…… maybe hold off your judgement on that until the movie that covers LN 12 &13 comes out….
@@SatanicWren I have listened to the audiobook so I know..

I was told as such and yes, it is beautiful. It's such a good idea too to use the art that's as close as it can be to the original.
The protag starts out good. His allies are questionable... Demiurge(glasses wearing demon) being most evil of them. But as the series goes on, the protag slowly loses more of his morals it feels as he focuses on his goals.
Sounds like an interesting premise

you are right overlord has great music even the ending songs ARE better than most animes openings
Great things about these openings is that they really don't give anything away. Basically all you get from it, is that it's one side against another.
i seen hundreths of anime series and this series is the best one i seen its got the biggest cast of characters i ever seen in an anime somany that you might need to keep notes to remember them all
I'll see. I'm quite good with names if I hear them a few times. But hey, keeping notes is nothing to be ashamed of 😄
Me encantó tu preparación en el video, muy sinceros tus comentarios. En general una excelente reacción!! Nuevo suscriptor (:
Awsome! Thanks for doing this!
Great reaction, it's nice hearing some thoughts even if they're wrong.
Yeah, I imagine like 95% of my assessments and predictions are way off 😅
But it's fun to speculate
This is story with an Evil protagonist in his conquest of the wold. When I said Evil I mean murdering innocent children , committing genocides and evil heinous acts against the innocents type Evil . Yeah, they are the bad guys here.
Oh, that mean the true villain is the protagonist, not the blonde guy.

Try the openings to Kurokami the animation
are you gonna react to the one piece openings?
Yep, it's on the list
5:00 wrong but nice try
The 3rd ending in my opinion is the weakest out of all of them
Valid. Everything is about personal tastes
