The point is : the Federal Reserve is going to cut rate in a few weeks for sure and keep cutting in the near future. The "urgency" is to buy it and lock in the higher rate now. Do you not understand this? I want to find the highest rate now versus buying it later when the rates have gone down. Your thoughts? I found a MYGA for 5 years at 5.6% with Farmer Insurance. Do you have a better deal?

You can't time it. It will affect but do not do anything in haste
Timing Annuities makes as much sense as trying to time the stock market.
The “best time” to buy annuity is when you have the need for lifelong, guaranteed income, AND you have the money to fund the annuity.

That was my thought when buying too but I must admit the funds I used were depressed for the same reason my annuity return was higher.
