My first time hearing about a MYGA. Now more to think about after attending one of those “dinner presentations “ for FIA. Was considering FIA as I am not doing well with growth in my TSP in retirement. MYGA sounds good, but have to do more research to get more comfortable with exactly how it can work for me over a FIA with the 10% bonus.

I have 5yr MYGA at 5.57 with a reputable company & a 10% withdrawal after 1yr.
6 month CD at 6% I've been rolling the CD over between 2 banks at 5% and 6% over the last 2yrs. In the event l need the money within 6months as I dont want it tied up if i need it before the 5yr MYGA.... Now, I can receive the dividend from the MYGA monthly, quarterly 6 months or yearly. Or I can just let it grow. This can be an additional income with SS & a pension... Stan I've watched you for about 3yrs! Thank you for the sound & informative financial advice! Blessings!

I have mine in an 18 month cd at 5.85%. Once that’s up in May 2025, I’m scared to even think of what interest rates will be
I search around & find the best rate for CD's. If the rate is good at 6, 12 or 18 months I go with that... the better rates are usually 6months with banks I've seen.
