Mail Art Week! Envelope No. 1 - Transferring Printed Text
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 жов 2024
- Happy Monday, all! This week is Mail Art Week! I'll be sharing a new mail art envelope each weekday. For today's envelope, I showed how to take a printed name and transfer it to the envelope for embellishing. This is a super easy way to get a precise font or lettering style.

That is a solid WOW! When I first saw it I thought the flowers were dimensional. Adding the shadows really elevates the design. I can't wait to see all of the rest.
Beautiful Kristina! It's always a joy to watch you do envelopes! Thanks for the tip with the Distress Glaze!
Love, love, love the mail art! Thanks for sharing.
Kristina, your mail art envelope is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing. Oh the anticipation of 4 videos this week! Yippee!
This is just too cute for words, Kristina! So glad you let your creativity go...easy-peasy is overrated!
Love this envelope! What you might not "see", is you've given us a few new tips within this not-so-simple envelope...ie using graphite paper! Never have used it and looks to a fun way to use those fun letters. Also, just because your artistic mind says you need another berry branch, my mind says "love the daisy, so done.... before I mess it up"! Clever adding the stems in and out of the letters...another great tip! So really, you have so many steps in this one envelope...from easy, LIM, to a real piece of art! And we can stop at our comfort level. For me, the key is just adding a little interest & fun to the envelope...not creating a piece of art (that I couldn't do anyway)! Thanks for the tip on the paint pen at Amazon too!
Ooooh, lucky us, thank you!!!!! And what a beauty you've started off with!
wow I really loved the flowers throughout the person's name. A very stunning affect.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the mail art videos! Watching you design off the top of your head is amazing to me because creativity doesn't come that easy for me. Beautiful envelope, as usual, Kristina!! Hoping I will get one of my own one of these days!
Just love how the gray makes the flowers look so 3 dimensional. Absolutely beautiful! Cheers from FL😺
This was great. Simple enough, no extra tools needed other than markers. I don't have acrylic markers, but si can imagine doing the bold letters with gouache and a steady hand :-) Loved the detail of the shadow with the light grey. I look forward to the coming week! Thanks !
The more KW videos the better!!
I LOVE this week you created lol Your envelopes are beyond ART! (and you know we all secretly hope to see our names and addresses) 😁 Oooh with the computer print and the graphite paper maybe I can even do this....maybe lol
oh Darla is a lucky girl getting this envelope!
I could watch you create envelopes endlessly- thank you for going the extra mile and not scrapping your idea! This one is so creative, absolutely love it!
What a wonderful treat! Daily vids…. Thank You!
OMG! A whole week? Yes please. I'll be watching 👀. Beautiful art work on this here envelope!
So beautiful!!!! I am amazed watching you create. I love envelope mail art. Thank you. ❤
Lol to your intro!!! You are amazing ! Going to love mailart week ❤
Darn. I couldn’t find a way to send you a picture! As soon as I saw your post, ideas were flowing. I just sent my sister a Wendy’s coupon 😊just so I could make an envelope. Not as good as yours but better than I ever made! 😁 I used my cutting machine to draw her first name and stamped a snowflake next to it. Fun! Thank you!
I love this!! Beautiful!! The graphite paper technique is genius. I don't know how well free hand drawing flowers will go for me, but I'm excited to try. 🤣🤣
I always enjoy your mail art. This one is especially nice.
this would be such a fantastic stamp set
Amazing! I love how easy you made it look making those flowers.💐
STUNNNNNNNNING!!!!
Loving this! I don’t know if you have ever done this, I did one year and probably will next year, don’t have my act together this year, but you send an envelope full of of your cards to Loveland, CO. They mail them out with their special postmark from Loveland. I did this once with my nieces and nephews.
And so nice to know someone besides myself! Before I got back into making my own cards I collected stamps and liked to find cards or stamps to correlate or would be special to the person I was sending. My co-worker said to me one day “Do you think anyone notices?” I told her my granddaughter commented once on how I always use special stamps. That’s good enough for me. 😂
Beautiful cards and envelopes. I really enjoy your videos. 😊
Kristina, I love these kind of envelopes. I'd like to see more of these ideas !tfs jen in south dakota.
Excellent! I 💕your envelope art. Thanks!
Cool envelope, Kristina! Love how you added the floral stem element around her name. I recently created a card with an airplane, where I stenciled a cloudy sky. I was inspired by you to stencil clouds on the envelope with the same stencil. I just added basic ink blending/stenciling on the front of the envelope, then wrote my address & the recipient's address. Because I used Distress ink, I did make sure to seal the envelope with Micro Glaze, but as per your instruction, avoided the postage stamp. :) I really loved how it came out. Thank you for sharing your artwork, AND for inspiring me & others to step up our game. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
That sounds like an awesome envelope! :)
Looks so good. Will have to give this go. Looking forward to this little series 💕
Your art has talent in drawing, my creator didnt bless me with that talent....lol. Those shadows really make a difference. I thought the letters were cut out and glued on!!!
GORGEOUS!!! I have the same vintage stamps! FUN!!!
*SQUEAL* I LOVE THIS!

super Beautiful
LOL Love your authenticity 💕 This happens to me every time I go to make a card. It takes several hours and never turns into what I have envisioned 😂 but Hey! that's why I craft! Thanks for sharing!!! Love this technique!
Love it!!! ❤
Wonderful share
Incredible…
Looks amazing!!
I love it!
Fun envelope! Love your creativity!
Yea!! I video a day is awesome! I'm always down for more videos from you! And this envelope is so adorable!
Eek! My name is Darla and that is the prettiest display of my name ever
Yay for us!!! Thank you Kristina ❤❤❤
Lovely envelope although I wouldn't call it simple! I love Micro Glaze. I used to stress about the weather when I was mailing my cards because I have an ink jet printer and I'd print labels or envelopes to match my cards and was always worried the address would get smudged in the rain or snow. But no more...I just use the micro glaze and I don't have to worry.
I love envelope art! My hand lettering doesn't look that good! I'm so excited for an entire week of envelope art!!!
Love love love this envelope art!!
I’m so glad I stumbled onto your channel. I love the art you create, it seems so effortless, but I know it’s not.
NICE
i love that Kristina overthought and then made 4 videos haha...
The way you did that envelope, looks like the daisy’s are really laying on top, like you can actually pick them up.
Pretty simple, yet bold. The flowers really do add alot to the design. I think I can do this. Kristina, what do you think of using the Distress Glaze on an injet printed design?
Go for it! I don’t think the Glaze would harm it.
Kristina, could you share the name of the font you used for this great card? Thanks!
Hmmm... I think it was Helvetica Condensed Black? I could be wrong, though.
What size are the brush tips on the Acrylograph pens?
They have two sizes. I mostly used the finer size. I believe it’s .7
Putting the stamps on before doing the mail art = boss move 🦸♀️
