Whitney always called him her industry father, however, this man shows no remorse, sadness, grief etc I know everyone handles grief differently but he comes across as cold, he definitely had something to do with that woman’s death

A man who is genuine and truly cared would NOT need to read a script to say how he feels, he would speak from the heart and show emotion, but I see none here at all and only a matter of hours after her death, it's wrong on all levels and that damn party should've been cancelled out of respect. My gut tells me he knew and didn't give a damn coz he knew much more money he'd be getting from all the post-death sales etc. You might think oh he's rich anyway why would he care about money but these greedy music elites want more n more at any cost. Disgusting.

Here's how I read the speech: We have all learned about the unspeakable (even though I'm speaking it) news of Whitney. I don't have to mask my lack of emotions, not in front of this room, with so many consciously devoid friends. I do have a very heavy wallet and I am personally devastated by the loss of future profits. Whitney was so full of potential profit...(Oh, Sony put up the price of her albums on news of her death, but changed and apologised after it was spotted, woopsy!)

I am so blessed to have been born in the generation that saw the beginning and rise of Whitney. I was completely blown away by her beauty and talent watching her as a young girl. The first song I ever heard her sing was saving all my love. When I saw the music video I was a forever fan. I will never forget Whitney. She is herself a legacy.

  • @AZRedMo

Whitney's songs bring back so many memories...some good, some not so good. The first time I saw her was when I was stationed in Germany. I was on post at an eatery when, on the big screen behind the counter, her video How Will I Know came on....knocked my socks off and I've been in love with her ever since. Bobby Brown was the beginning of the end for her. I thought the pre-Grammy party should have been cancelled and have a tremendous amount of respect for those who did not attend.

i was so devastated myself when i heard the news. i cried hard of her passing despite the fact that she don't have any idea of my existence. for years her songs have always been an inspirations and my comfort zones in times of my down moments and that i don't know why. i was so attached to her music since i was 8 years old and even until now. now that she is gone, i feel like having a wall at my back smashed into pieces and nothing to lean on. i love her music despite how it had deteriorated.

When we grow up listening to an artists music such as Whitney, their spirit becomes part of us. And when they die, part of us dies with them. How these people found it to be appropriate to continue to party in this circumstance is so revealing.

Because the power of music and song is something that we can all relate to. It is not just about the singer, but the song and how individuals correlate that to their own personal experiences. Moreover, I think so many of us were pulling or Whitney. I honor soldiers as well, but lets not take away one persons glory for the sake of another, there is plenty enough to go around. Love you Whitney!~

@elijah7k: Now, maybe people have a glimpse of what Whitney was experiencing - the hypocrisy of the music industry. The greatest singer of all time, Whitney Houston, was just found dead in her hotel room - and the party must go on? No amount of money should have prevented Clive Davis from cancelling the party. Whitney would not have wanted the party to continue - not like that - with her body still in the hotel. That is gruesome...utter disrespect...scary

Its' not only that she died..but her body was still in the hotel. That was insane...it was morbid. It was extremely disrespectful. Clive Davis murmured Whitney Houston because he then no longer could control her. Publishing, is a powerful thing to have authority of in the music industry. Whitney’s daughter- died exactly in the same manner Whitney died. Clive Davis in the meantime- still- is enjoying the success he achieved thanks to -- Whitney. Dilemma.

Its over yall, just remember the word that came forth at the memorial. Prioritize your life. Seek the Kingdom of God and all of its righteousness. Live a life that will bring Glory to God, a life pleasing unto him. Remember, we will all die and stand before our Creator, Our Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ.

@mariewilder Apparently, you don't know much. The goddaughter was Bobbi Kristina. He did honor her by giving that speech&before that by trying to bring her back to the spotlight for us when she was gone for such a long time.He helped her go back to what she loved doing the most which was singing. She even talks about this in her interview w/Oprah.Go watch how she treats him when she handed Brandy the last note(whose contents are unknown).

How she treats him? With a hug and tells her daughter to say hello to her godfather?

@whitesoxfanforsure he got the industry wrapped around his finger no matter what label someone is signed too he got the upper hand bc his name is so big..its said that Whitney owned him alot of money, its also said her and Madonna had some kind of industrial beef whatever the case maybe the Grammys told us more than meets the eye only the TRUE eye openers can see that all this wasn't a coincidence.& as fans we deserve answers but yet their STILL talking about this womans past
