They also give the artist’s project preferential access to in-house distribution and marketing or they front the costs which is even more millions. That artist and their project is a legit investment and the label deserves to get their money back and to be reimbursed for the immense risk they took. The artists get fame and all the financial resources they need in order to capitalize off of their talent and that’s why they tour. But guess what, just because the artist sings, that doesn’t mean the recording is their work. For every minute of singing they did, there’s a ton of work done when they leave the studio which is financed by the label so rightfully so the label owns the finished product unless the artist wants to buy them.

I can not take take those people seriously, who accuse Clive Davis here at UA-cam, because, if you want to accuse somebody of having committed a crime like murder, why don't you accuse the person at a courthouse or why didn't you go to the police. And, if somebody's accused of murder, there's the assumption of innocent. The accused are innocent unless proven guilty. Everybody hating on this man as if he had a gun to these people’s head to make them sign over their soul for fame, money, glitz and glamour. Hell, shady, manipulative, and crazy shit been going on in the music industry for decades upon decades. I mean who goes into a career at that level and don’t do their research on the industry??? Hell im not even remotely into the industry and I know the wacky unbelievable stuff that goes on by reading and studying biographies of famous artist so I know they all know, but their quest for stardom is obviously worth the sacrifice. Hell some of y’all sacrifice your kids school plays, or recital, etc. by going to work instead of their events just to make $200-300 a day, so I can see how people would give up/sacrifice their sense of self for millions and millions of dollars and a legacy that surpasses our lil plain pedestrian understanding.
