Even the pre rendered stuff from the forzatech engine isn't all that great. The polyphony engine is insanely more robust and has been used over the years to make actual manufacturer CAD renders for marketing purposes. The most well known was whwn ferrari partnered with polyphony for the California reveal back in the early 2000s. I haven't seen anything from the forzatech engine that would suggest it can handle the data streams that polyphony pushes through their engine.
Not on everything. The thing is that the taul material is disgusting on FM. It looks like Xbox One... But look at pictures of a Cobra 427 from that time, some details are better on FM, others on GT. On FM, they got the wrong model for some finishes... But the 2 rear round lights on GT are less faithful, as well as their 2 blue stripes, too wide. I prefer the engine sounds on FM, as well as the gear noises. But it's pretty crazy that FH5 from 2021 in open world does better graphically than this latest FM... On a closed world, there are normally fewer constraints =/
@Quasmin Depends on what model they scanned. Polyphony scans their models and transfers them into the engine. Forza does not. Polyphony has been noted since GT sport as having the most accurate scans in the industry. If you think something isn't right, then research where and what was scanned to get that. They are famously known to not take liberties in rendering their car models for quite some time.
i notice that the cars in GT look like literally real life cars, but other than that the environments look empty, like when you pause the game it looks like a real life car put in a video game, and it looks like they cranked up the contrast like hell, forza looks like youre watching a race through a camera, the environments look very detailed like REALLY detailed. and the less color look, makes it fit in with the environment, cars dont look like they were straight pulled out of a showroom in races (most of the time), just pausing makes me see how out of place the cars in GT7 feels like sometimes. i wonder if im the only person that sees it this way. (3:02)
I actively play both games and I agree with you. Also, while GT7 gives me a feeling of loneliness, Forza has a complete racing festival feel and of course Forza has better racing content. As for the vehicles, GT7 definitely makes you feel like you are driving a real vehicle better than Forza.
I wish I could turn the bloom down in GT7. Everything looks photorealistic, but then you get this massive white fuzz over every reflective surface which just kills it.

For someone who has actually been to Laguna seca in northern California I can say the color tone of Forza is way more accurate. Gt7 hillsides are way too saturated. It's not covered in deep green grass. Forza is more accurate
It does feature grass in many areas. But the most important thing is the scan which forza is severally lacking in quality. Not to mention their compulsive nature to just randomly place trees around the environment. GT features a far more accurate scan and far more accurate landmark placement.
You can find a LOT of photos online of Laguna Seca during different times of the year, and you WILL see a lot of green around the track. In fact, i have them screenshotted on my phone right now if I need to prove this.
Why does the paint look so flat in Forza, that is impossible for the vista scene to have this glossy paint job, but on the track it looks like matte paint. Why is it folks always record Forza @30fps replay, even on PC. Is that an engine thing, it's very annoying. Also why do engine sounds in Forza, come off as so one size fits all. All v8's do not sound the same, i think that 18 month thing was true, because the cut corners can be seen, and heard.
La vista dentro el coche es mucho mejor en Forza Motorsport 👍 Además, si no te gusta así puedes cambiar y arreglarla a tu gusto, lo que no puedes hacer con el otro juego !!
GT7 for the win this time. Far prefer the Cobra and because it’s a desert, GT7 is not over saturated. Is it possible to do a clear night comparison for a change? I was doing some night racing last evening in FM as part of a challenge and thought it would be interesting to see the differences in these 2 games at night. Thanks for sharing.👍
GT7 looks much better and is unbeatable, but in terms of fun and progression I prefer Forza. Unfortunately, there has been nothing to do in GT7 for months.
GT7 = simulated to look like an edited commercial magazine ad or Formula One broadcast with heavy use of an ND Filter. Forza = simulated to look like an unedited live IMSA broadcast or in person. I suggest all to actually watch an IMSA wet race then judge. GT7 doesn't come remotely close aside from track drying simulation.
Fanboy/girl doesn't equal expert. I could just as easily say to look at European races. Different broadcast cameras and peoples TV can show up on different camera gamuts. What isn't up for debate is that GT7 cars definitely bear more resemblance to real life; more accurate, colours, details, dimensions, badges, interiors, visible engines, brake discs, light coverings and more.
@@cookedit I've been to real races. Forza looks more realistic than GT7. Re-read what I said, and this time take it very slowly. What did I say in the first sentence?
