Alex Winter (Bill & Ted, Lost Boys) joins us this week to share his experience of being under the limelight since he was a child, unexpectedly hitting fame with Bill & Teds, and then leaving Hollywood for a much needed sanity break. Alex talks about his enjoyment for acting the lifelong friendships he’s been able to build with costars like Jason Patric and Keanu Reeves. We also talks about growing up with free thinking Bohemian parents, his love for creating documentaries, and burning out in Hollywood.

Surrounded by predators and financial/vanity opportunists while a person's brain is developing and while they cannot legally consent.
Imo it's a form of child abuse in all cases, the fact some turn out ok is like the people that give beatings the credit for them knowing between right and wrong.

Being a child actor can be double edge sword depending on who you are and the people know. Sarah Michelle Gellar is an extremely rare child actor that really made it when you consider the fact she's been in the business ever she was toddler.

And she is now very protective around child actors. Because she doesn't want them to go through what she did.

@@thewkovacs316 At first my Parents were like that, but then I showed them despite being small, I could act. How did I prove it to them? Simple, I used to memorize all the classic commercial jingles. Now at first, I thought I was never an actor until one night my Dad thumbed through the photo album, finding an old photo of me & Dad blurted out loud, “Oh, that’s the photo we used that landed you the audition for that children’s educational show you were on as a child.” That was news to me, then that photo must have triggered something because several wonderful childhood memories returned to me of hosting a kid show , but nobody believes me. Why? For whatever reason, I can’t remember the name to it, but then again, it was 1974 when it was made.

I love the Fright Night poster but can't get a good enough look to see if it's the original or the remake one, personally I love 1, 2, and the remake.

I think a big reason why he’s that way is because he said he knows child abuse happens in Hollywood but it never happened to him growing up because his mom would never leave his side
