Very cool to hear that. I've been experimenting with the DV over the last few days while reading the manual and this video is only scratching the surface. There's going to be a part 2 soon. You can't go wrong with this verb.
What a fun exploration. I’ve had my DV now for a couple of weeks, and keep landing in some awesome soundscape territories. Thank you for doing a “demo” that does the Bat Verb justice!
Thanks! It will definitely find a place in many of my patches because I love reverbs. There's so much to discover so I bet it will return in a 'part 2' when I've figured it out.
@@markmccarthy3304 I can already help you with the Erbe-Verb :). I'd say if you're not married to MakeNoise the Desmodus is like a stereo version with a lot of overlap. ua-cam.com/video/zJhOm6x_peY/v-deo.html
Arrived a couple of day ago and had my first session with it today. Very impressive sounding module. Will be trying the various other firmwares in time but for now I'm loving exploring the standard features. Your videos on this helped swing my choice by the way. Great work as always.
Thanks for your confidence! I am very happy with how my channel is growing. I am just doing what I love most and I hope billions of people can do the same one fine day.
Hi Robert, I already own this amazing desmodus versio. I' m focused on drone-outer space-atmospherical soundscapes. What of other versio modules do you recommend first for my purpose? Thank you!
To be honest, Erbe-Verb is special because you can do crazy things with it but sonically I always describe it as 'frozen sheet metal in deep space'. It's not the best reverb as a reverb, but it's a great musical instrument. Versio however, is a DSP platform that ships with an excellent stereo reverb app and it's cheaper than the EV. If I had to make a choice I'd keep DV but I'd rather keep them both. You could consider the EV as a 1971 mechanical reverb and DV as a 2021 space generator.
@@CinematicLaboratory thanks!! the things here is that I feel like with Erbe-verb even using big room size, I don't feel that the sound start loosing body or gets washed. I doesn't feel that in DV.. its not as 3d (using mono input), and it's like sound loose body. Do you think so or there is something I'm missing?
Well, that's easy. Definitely the Desmodus. It's my favorite module of 2020. Desmodus is like an Erbe-Verb 2.0 but it can also run different firmwares. Erbe-Verb has a mono input so it will sound cramped (voice stuck in the middle) without a send/return. Milky Way is more an FX utility with all kinds of useful end-of-chain stuff but it's not a creative experimental reverb.
@@HarisCupina Wow, thanks for the tip. I did not get the red lights of death yet, but it's worth getting the new firmware, document the process on video and check that beat detection feature.
once more, you sold me. this reverb is exactly what I waited for

@@CinematicLaboratory waiting for part 2 ;-)
I ordered the DV today, cant wait to explore!

I would love to see an in depth video of the DV and Erbverb as I'm still on the fence of which one to get. Great video thank you.

Just ordered myself the DV, this demo has made me very excited to get hold of it!
Amazing reverb. I use it a lot, good video by the way!
That Erbeverb into Desmodus Versio sounds amazing! Actually, this whole video is amazing.
Thank you for your great comment!
Yo deserve so much more views. Hopefully the algorithm will be in your favor, and get the views you deserve across your channel. Great job again.

You had me with the title of the video. The video was even better than the title, though. ;) Loved the Bat Man / Zimmer patch
Thank you Chris! Couldn't resist with that Batman theme.
Gorgeous!
I call it the "guanoverb" since it bat shit insane :)
Discovering new things every day! Totally love it when it becomes more than just a reverb.
We're definitely going to use this around the NE house.
@@NoiseEngineering Glad to be of assistance :)
In your opinion, if i would have to decide between this and the Erbe Verb. Being cheaper and smaller would also be a bonus.
Nice jam!
Some epic sounds ! Thanks for the walk through :)
Your channel is undersubscribed! Thanks for the great versio tutorials :)
Thanks for the comment! Well, you have to start from the bottom, but I am happy with how it's going so far. I guess it needs time :)
Great demo, thanks! (I want to save a bat now)
Love your videos! Quick point: isn't the tone knob a dj-filter? Clockwise from 12:00 becomes a high-pass filter from my experience! Maybe I'm wrong :D
No, you're absolutely right. This is an old video :).
@@CinematicLaboratory ahhhhh okay! Really love your videos, looking forward to coming back to your channel! :)
i love this
Torn between this one and the new Eventide Blackhole pedal ... hmmm....
Just checked out a few demo's on the Blackhole. It's great, no it's huge. It sounds like Heaven. I personally prefer some more Gotham Underworld.
pretty damn sweet
Hi Robert, I already own this amazing desmodus versio. I' m focused on drone-outer space-atmospherical soundscapes. What of other versio modules do you recommend first for my purpose? Thank you!
I would definitely recommend the Melotus Versio.
what do you think vs your Erbe-verb?? will desmodus beat it? which one does worth the most?

Given that you have the Desmodus, Erbe-Verb and the Endorphin MilkyWay, which would you prefer if you could only pick one and why?

@@CinematicLaboratory Thanks so much for the great insight! (and the steady stream of amazing videos)
Pls connect it to the DFAM, at some point and show us the result in place. this was interesting video absolutely I must admit!
I'll give it a try, but Desmodus unfortunately doesn't have a clock input. Always looking for new patch ideas :).
@@CinematicLaboratory there lay's the answer, new firmware should have beat detect feature (if beat is present in sound). cool overall

Awesome sounds!! Between Desmodus and Erbe-Verb, which one do you think is the best as a sound design tool?
Erbe-Verb is amazing, but mono and it's getting a bit old. I'd vote for the DV. Keep an eye on Noise Engineering next week!
