There is a third, one of my friends makes absolutely OP characters on accident and has switched characters at least once in every campaign he has been in

As someone with viking ancestry, this guy's depiction of my people is highly offensive. They were brutal warriors, of course. That's why people depict them as such. But that's only one aspect of viking culture

Screw all these people calling you a sellout. AI is a problem when companies use it instead of paying real artists. No one is going to be denied money or recognition because you use it to help with an RPG session around your kitchen table.

I don't watch this channel all that often but used to enjoy what I saw, the ai shilling and replacememt of the narrator make me never want to watch this channel again.
Seeing others comment the same you may want to go back to what you did before, else this channel will probably crash and burn.
Been subbed since the start of this channel but the sponsorship choice and support of AI in creative spaces means that I’ll be changing that now. Thanks for sharing so many stories from the community over the years.
Had a cousin who joined our game as a vampire in a good party and he was talking openly about eating people.....We warned him multiple times he should really reconsider telling the party this info. He refused to hide it so the party unalived his character and he never played with us again. If you're gonna play an evil character in a good party at least give them a reason to tolerate your existence or hide it.....
Had a similar situation happen 6 years ago, though the campaign was a evil one and the player was a "holier than thou" paladin. On multiple occasions he tried to kill my character exclusively because I was a half demon, as well as try to TPK the party with him doing some really stupid crap, like trying to pray in a obviously evil tower with his holy nonsense.

Sven's race , the "viking" race is actually called Thorwaler. Thorwaler are basically like Vikings but not as brainless and dumb Sven was played. Sadly many ppl play Thorwaler this way like this dumb paladin stereotype as glorified murderhobo pseudo good honor warrior vikings. In truth Thorwaler are much more. one of their most iconic profession is pirate. you know? like a viking? also they are sailors, fisherman, and warriors but also bards, priests (they even have their own god named Swafnir) mages and who would have guessed it Thieves!
One of the most interesting parts about them is that they are very accepting towards others (except for Achaz some kind of lizardmen who they hate because the achaz god Hrangar is THE enemy of Swafnir) and judge someone only by their behavior and actions. They have this whole "Your actions should be glorious so the bards will sing about them or you will be forgotten" spiel running and thaqt to a near religeous point so you won't see a Thorwaler murderhoboing around. Well except for those who are Whaleragers. Whalerage is a special kind of berserk for Thorwaler where they can kinda control it and keep it together to only attack enemies and not allies. But they have to wear a special band to show that they are Whalerager and they normally don't leave the Thorwaler society much except for sailors. It is not uncommon to see a group of thorwaler break a few tables and chairs in a barfight (together with a few bones) but they pay good for good alcohol.
This Sven was sadly just a murderhobo played by a guy who needs to get his psyche checked because reading this psychotic behavior out of what infos there is just in the base book about Thorwaler isworrying to say the least.
Is swafnir a serpent god? 😂 Just wondering because Sváfnir is one of the serpents/Linnorms hnawing at the base of Yggdrasil according to Lore, it is also one of the names Odin takes when on one of his sneaky travelling periods.

How does it feel to get murdered in your sleep by a character whom you deemed to be the "lowest of lows"
I've been gaming since the 1980's... usually that type of person is looking for attention. Usually, it seems the person doesn't get the attention they want from home and/or friends. Been through it many times running games through the years. Best thing is to confront as a nice friendly warning. From there on it really depends on how serious it gets. Good Gaming to all of you.

I cannot in good conscience continue to support someone who shills to AI gen thieves. This is not okay.
In a cyberpunk rp we had one of "those guys", in a party full of mercenaries he decided to A) fumble our first two missions so badly to the point our target even got away B) Reveal some of our identities on open broadcast effectively making some of us now wanted fugitives just bc he wanted some bravado C) actively fired upon one of us who was by an enemy bc "thats what my character would do" and D) kept calling my character, the only assassin and most lethal member of the party, stupid nicknames like Master Splinter
Tldr, we all sorta agreed for our better good he had to go n three of us plotted our own ways to kill him, and in our intermission one of us lured him away drunk thinking he was going to romance(the same person he shot at) before I snucked up and sliced off his head. He needed to die, and the DM understood that

Had to "thumbs down" for the AI Sponsorship and for the new voice not really fitting the vibe. No offense to the person behind the voice, of course. I'm sure, whoever you are, you're just doing your job. But yeah, I have to agree with other commenters that the voice doesn't fit.
Hey, there's nothing wrong with playing as a nudist...particularly if you're a monk or a barbarian, in which case neither armor nor clothing serves any mechanical purpose. I myself once played a barbarian noble who had an "emperor's new clothes" situation going on. If you know you know.

1:18 before we get into the story could i just say to whomever has taken over the reigns of this channel, i think you need to modify the appearance of the character that was representing the old voice over guy as your voice sounds horribly out of place coming from that character like make a character that looks more older an grizzled coz thats the sound of your voice Old & Grizzled so coming from a babyfaced character it sounds wrong as it could ever sound, i dont have a problem with you having taken the channel over just that you havent even bothered trying to update the channel so that it fits you, if it helps you understand a bit better imagine your voice coming out of the mouth of a 8yr old coz thats what your doing with the character that was provided by the channel an it just is weird dude so actually put some effort in i mean realistically all you do is read a script an put together a more or less still image for your video you have time to create your own character please put the effort in or i can say for sure your going to lose viewer's as ive already seen in the comments since you took over alot of people have unsubbed due to your complete lack of effort

I have a similar story that went pretty differently but didn’t realize until later because this campaign is one of the few times I was completely synchronized with my character and his biases became my biases. Anyways, this story starts well before I was involved because the campaign took place directly after a previous one I wasn’t a part of and, while a few people changed characters, this person didn’t. And Gal just so happened to have had experiences with *multiple* corrupting forces that took a toll on his psyche, which led to him treating my character like trash and not showing the slightest bit of regret or remorse when he killed Raymond with an AoE attack meant for a boss. But ironically, this ended up being the best thing that could’ve happened to him because it got him away from Gal’s toxicity and into the afterlife… where there coincidentally was another segment of the party. You see, our group had conflicting schedules and as such were split into three parties for this campaign. It was online so it’s not as complicated as you’d think and because of an unfortunate TPK only those two parties had much impact.
Moving on though, Raymond met up with the person who would go on to be the true protagonist of the campaign and after a lot of stuff that I won’t get into he made a deal with a goddess to effectively have his soul undergo reincarnation so he could be revived without upsetting the balance. Well, I say “deal” but it was more of a trial… a very painful trial that led to the birth of Will. Who ended up considering that goddess his “mother” and Raymond his “father.” Naturally Will wanted to pull a “you killed my father” on Gal, not even aware of all the stuff he did after killing Raymon- including a deal with a devil that’d be foolish if he *didn’t* promise not to make one and what the DM described as the equivalent of dropping an atomic bomb on a city to prevent its country from doing unethical human experimentation ever again- but he showed restraint and said that unless something changed he’d only come to kill Gal after they’d dealt with the BBEG. And boy did something change. Immediately after Will proved himself to Miko (the aforementioned protagonist) by freeing her adoptive daughter from the BBEG’s mind control it was revealed that one technique Gal used in the fight had cursed the girl and would kill her. Will wanted to prove that he could stand in Raymond’s shoes and give their friend the happiness she helped him find but Gal was going to undo all that and more. They told him not to but he was repeating history. How dare he! Will, not even noticing that an NPC was transferring the curse to herself, rushed to attack Gal and Miko joined in. If he learned his lesson that’d be one thing but he clearly didn’t and that meant he’d do it again. With one fight left before the final boss there was no way we could have a party member who would be perfectly fine killing us mid-battle. So we ended him, with no remorse whatsoever. The rest of the party didn’t help us but they certainly didn’t stop us either.
For the record that was *not* the only thing that said synchronization made fairly different in hindsight and,, if anything, it probably was one of the most positive. Gal’s player was simply roleplaying his character’s decline a bit too well and it was good storytelling for me to respond in kind.
Also, if something doesn’t make sense, chalk it up to the fact that this campaign started literally half a decade ago and lasted around a year. And “fun” fact; Miko briefly got mind controlled and hit Raymond with a light-based attack that reminded him of his death. This, combined with the fact that Gal had hit him with at least one AoE light attack before his last battle, caused him to develop heliophobia. Which made the aforementioned trial even harder than it would’ve been…
Boggles the mind how DMs keep allowing their players to grief each other 😂
*spoiler* Thank goodness, it sounds like the PC is just fine. It was only their character that was killed in game.

I made my players sign an actual contract that included items such as, everyone gets the spotlight and no intentionally causing harm to other players. This was done because we had an aggressive player in the group who bullied other players characters a lot. So when the new campaign stated, everyone signed and that way they could hold each other accountable to the players contract.
