I joined as an E-4 with my uni degree. I was part of the 1st Armored Div. in a finance Battalion. In Germany. The best time ever living there.

@@christopherchaos It only took once to cure me of that habit. Worst PT run ever. This was at C Btry 2-61 ADA Camp Stanley ROK 1983. During the 1SG in-brief for us newbies fresh outta AIT was to NEVER marry a club girl. Though I did see a couple of times it did seem to work out. A SSG training NCO of ours bought his wife out of the club ( paid off her contract to mamma-san), married her, had a kid, and bought property there.

This one time at Army Camp…
I don’t know why but that just came into my head watching this for some reason. I haven’t seen that movie in forever.
I, all of a sudden have a craving for some warm apple pie.
    Keep up the great videos!

I had my first C-Ration at Harmony Church, Ft. Benning, GA. I think they were getting rid of old stock because our next field problem we got MRE. Mine was Dehydrated Pork patty, Dehydrated Potato patty and Dehydrated Fruit Cocktail with a John Wayne bar.

I remember my first friend in basic.. PVT Howard, we were the only 2 in our platoon from Michigan, so we hit if off right away!! This was in 1987, never or heard from again... the Army sucks that way with all the people going in different directions all the time...

Currently at Fort Riley, and it’s my first duty station. It’s absolutely what you make of it, if you wanna just get drunk in the barracks then sure you can; but there’s genuinely a lot to do. I’m loving it so far

Parks & Recreations for the tv show you had in the video. Also Christopher Chaos, would you consider a video of hazing in the US Army? Even though I know it doesn’t happen to the same scale as in college/university.

Not Military related, but it’s so nice to hear another guy say that they’re not into hunting or fishing. I’m not opposed to giving it a try but for me they’re not pre-programmed. I just assumed it was my less than stellar upbringing.

I was close to a few soldiers, I imagine thats most of us, during combat training, we used live rounds during covering fire, this is where I would volunteer to help Cadre hand out grenades, I could control distribution of that ordinance I never really trusted someone behind me firing since most of them were terrible marksman. Volunteering was a first.

My first time eating an army meal was at reception at 1 am. Was literally sunflower seeds, a fruit cup and a granola bar. All packaged foods which confused me cause I though the army had cooks…

MRE never had one. C rats all the way. When you are eating one and looking to see when it was made. WOW it is older than you are. I also started as an E1. Enlisted right out of high school at 17. Suposed to go to the 101st AB. After jump school I knew I would never get to Kentucky. Was in and out of Polk to jungles and back ever 5 weeks. Great videos keep them up.
