I joined as an E-4 with my uni degree. I was part of the 1st Armored Div. in a finance Battalion. In Germany. The best time ever living there.
Thank you for your service
First all night partying when the next day is a duty day.
I usually would not drink if I was working the next day.
@@christopherchaos It only took once to cure me of that habit. Worst PT run ever. This was at C Btry 2-61 ADA Camp Stanley ROK 1983. During the 1SG in-brief for us newbies fresh outta AIT was to NEVER marry a club girl. Though I did see a couple of times it did seem to work out. A SSG training NCO of ours bought his wife out of the club ( paid off her contract to mamma-san), married her, had a kid, and bought property there.
"usually" 😂@@christopherchaos
My first friend in basic was Steve. We did basic at Dix then AIT at ft Jackson and then we both went to ft Carson. And then we were both on the plane to Nam.
This one time at Army Camp…
I don’t know why but that just came into my head watching this for some reason. I haven’t seen that movie in forever.
I, all of a sudden have a craving for some warm apple pie.
Keep up the great videos!
I'm going to meps tomorrow. Im nervous but also excited to step into the next chapter of my life! Great video!
Good luck, dude.
Best of luck
@@christopherchaos that's all the advice you got for him bro 😂😂😂
I had my first C-Ration at Harmony Church, Ft. Benning, GA. I think they were getting rid of old stock because our next field problem we got MRE. Mine was Dehydrated Pork patty, Dehydrated Potato patty and Dehydrated Fruit Cocktail with a John Wayne bar.
Reenlisting in front of your enemies make it all the more enjoyable
First time I’ve been this early to a video great videos bud keep it up
Same
I remember my first friend in basic.. PVT Howard, we were the only 2 in our platoon from Michigan, so we hit if off right away!! This was in 1987, never or heard from again... the Army sucks that way with all the people going in different directions all the time...
my first cigerette was in basic at ft mcclean al. at the fireing range around a burning barrel a cammel filterless 1983
My first duty station was Polk. It made me miss Afghanistan. 😂
I went to Polk for basic, 11B ait, Tigger land. After jump school back to Polk for toe school then jungle war fare school then joined a team and worked out of Polk.
@@stevejorgensen5274 I did a rotation in the box last summer. I still hate the place. Geronimo still sucks.
I was there almost 50 years ago. What is the new name they have put on Polk?
Very nice. Thank you. (First exotic "dump"?)
Currently at Fort Riley, and it’s my first duty station. It’s absolutely what you make of it, if you wanna just get drunk in the barracks then sure you can; but there’s genuinely a lot to do. I’m loving it so far
My nco had.a boat at Riley and we fished on.tje reservoir...was peaceful
Really surprised to hear about hunting and fishing at Riley. My first duty station was Polk and Louisiana calls itself the sportsman paradise.
Parks & Recreations for the tv show you had in the video. Also Christopher Chaos, would you consider a video of hazing in the US Army? Even though I know it doesn’t happen to the same scale as in college/university.
Great video Chris, and the background instrumental is fire 👌🏾. Where can I find it?
Not Military related, but it’s so nice to hear another guy say that they’re not into hunting or fishing. I’m not opposed to giving it a try but for me they’re not pre-programmed. I just assumed it was my less than stellar upbringing.
blud forgot to list his first warcrime
The band was Styx.
My first friend was a new private, He was a specialist before I got there!
Been out for years. I miss the military.
First experience as a janitor.
I was close to a few soldiers, I imagine thats most of us, during combat training, we used live rounds during covering fire, this is where I would volunteer to help Cadre hand out grenades, I could control distribution of that ordinance I never really trusted someone behind me firing since most of them were terrible marksman. Volunteering was a first.
My first time eating an army meal was at reception at 1 am. Was literally sunflower seeds, a fruit cup and a granola bar. All packaged foods which confused me cause I though the army had cooks…
MRE never had one. C rats all the way. When you are eating one and looking to see when it was made. WOW it is older than you are. I also started as an E1. Enlisted right out of high school at 17. Suposed to go to the 101st AB. After jump school I knew I would never get to Kentucky. Was in and out of Polk to jungles and back ever 5 weeks. Great videos keep them up.
Their first barrack bunny experience
Was in first infantry..and first armored..🙂🙂
Damn dropped his name lmao
Was your first promotion to PFC?
E2 Private
I thought that fraternizing was between officers and enlisted personnel.
It's that too.
Not military related but ik u like metallica
I learned One on the drums
Nice!!
What was your first qualification score with your M4?
I actually had an M16 in basic and I believe it would have been something like a 25 out of 40. Nothing impressive but enough to qualify.
I heard that Taylor Swift pegged her boyfriend. Righteous!
What was your 1st award ( individual)
It would have been an Army Achievement Medal after my first NTC rotation that a few of us got for our hard work during that rotation.
👍👍
Notification platoon.
Promotion?
Are you asking what my first promotion was? I mentioned that in this video. It was to E2.
First PT score?
Would have been in basic and I don't remember the exact score but I failed the push ups the first time. I think my run was a 14 minute something, I think 40 or so sit ups and failed the push ups by about 5 I think.
who has a nastier basic training, Army or Marines
The navy……
marines is worse, easy. it's the longest and most physically difficult, and has more 'kool aid' (indoctrination). I would imagine you have to scream louder too.
Why didn't you just stay nine more years and get a pension? Smh
People gotta learn to just knock man. Tired of all this 'know what I'm sayin'.
I served in the U.S. Army for 8 years and overran the previous best armed forceman in history, George Washington. I would beat any armed forceman in history in a 1 on 1 battle, combatives or with weapons.
I am the greatest armed forceman in history.
So um where the metal intro?
