  • Hey guys,
    Just a heads up that Strapsco sent these straps over to me for free so there may be some bias involved.

    Have never bought there leather products but have picked up quite a few of there NATOs. Decent quality from my experience. Their customer service was excellent when I dealt with them. Great video. Cheers!

    I think it speaks volumes that your favorite strap of the bunch was the only one you couldn't really wear. Not to mention there was a manufacturing defect and a shipping mistake in the same order, for a content creator no less. I can't stand cheaper straps, not because I'm a snob who bathes in liquid gold, but because its the part of the watch you interact with most when you put it on, take it off, and just ... have it on. A great strap absolutely makes a watch better, and a bad one can ruin the entire experience, no matter how great the watch. No disappointment on my end for taking a freebie, as long as its disclosed and the review remains objective.

    There are so many options when it comes to straps. I’ve had the good, the bad and the ugly. But it’s always good to see new options. You didn’t disappoint me in any way! You stated that the straps were provided for free. That is all that needed to be said. I love that we both look for straps that give extra options. You need a shorter option and I need a longer one #bigwristproblems

    You do get what you pay for with straps, natos and bracelets. With a little bit of research you'll get to the good ones which does'nt hurt the wallet compared to the OEM straps and bracelets. Yup, straight up at them Omega Natos.
    Thanks for the honest review and full disclosure on procurement of the straps.

    I like that we can have the opportunity to get affordable good watch straps. but what boggles my mind is that we all buy super expensive watches and now we safe money with the strap game? I mean, I do it too... weird tho, or? it's like owning a super nice car but forgetting the rims and the most important part: the rubber!!! it's the contact point on the road and good quality is also a safety thingy. ofc safety with straps not so much... just my 2 cents.. getting a delugs soon for the TIMEX electric from West Germany I inherited from my grandpaps..

    Sanjay, I have bought many affordable straps for my affordable watches. I have given all away except those from ZRC. Nice buckle too.

    I need to find a nice alligator strap for my ISL037, but it needs to be nice, I'll have to see what they have. Also the case on that GS is fantastic, I love that case shape, not sure how many other watches GS makes in that case but I'd be curious to see what they offer.

    • @engineer_wannabe
      @engineer_wannabe  3 роки тому

      Haha yeah it's my favourite watch! The case is identical in the SBGY007. There is also a similar case on the SBGK005, 007, 009 etc

    I need help choosing a first Grand Seiko. I don't have an AD any where close to me so I would have to by sight unseen so to speak. I have a 7inch wrist and I usually prefer divers but I want to venture outside my comfort zone. What would you recommend?

    • @engineer_wannabe
      @engineer_wannabe  2 роки тому +1

      Hmm there are so many good ones.
      Because you are used to dive watches, you may want to look into something with a bit of WR
      The Seasons Collection is a great place to start
      SBGA413, SBGA415 are Spring Drive
      SBGH271, SBGH273 are mechanical High Beat
      You could also look into the White Birch SLGH005 or the Blue Lake SLGA007 This is the higher end of GS. Very Sporty, yet elegant.
      The SBGA375, SBGA373 provide great value with a classic GS case that's not too thick but also a good, sporty option 👍
      Let me know what you think 🙂
