I Started A Podcast" is a podcast by Jon Kabir. The podcast includes interviews of celebrities and individuals who are experts in their fields of work. In this show they discuss their work, lifestyles, their view of the world around them and relationship with music.
Nahiyan bhai is such a well-spoken and passionate musician, this is the first time I am watching him talk
The entire story made so sense to me as a UG enthusiasts of 2005-2010 era. We used to listen to UG scene with this kind of passion and also critisize the music and live shows in the inner circle. Thanks for bringing out the memories. ❤
Once i did a show with powersurge, arbovirus & stentorian at CTG muslim hall, with my former band effigy at 2008. I directly come to the venue after attending my HSC chemistry 2nd part exam. My family didnt know about that, and my bandmate brought a black tshirt so that i can change my white college shirt just to play the set. Amazing days!
So connecting the stories are vaiya! Pure nostalgia.
I found you first performing 'Odvut Shei Cheleti' in our orientation and your farewell programme.
LIVE AROCKALYPSE | Feb 2007 | Muslim Hall
One of THE best undergrounder concerts to happen in Chittagong. Packed from the first performance. My 31st Demerit o opened the show. Good times.
Areh apni! 😂 amio to comment kortesi 😂❤
@@BeatBaksho Nope shanto bhai, you opened the show with beatboxing during sound check AFA i remember! That was so crowd engaging!
@@AyanBaruaBD I remember beatboxing. Probably was the first ever beatboxing in a rock/metal show in Chittagong :p. But yeah, I beatboxed right before our band "Mynd's Eye" got up. I wasn't on stage when MTD got up. Was out with Guddu for some work that time. Eshe dekhi MTD was performing in front of a full crowd.
Good to see Jamshed bhai & Nahian bhai. Being a UG musician these conversations were so relevant. What they did in the 2000s we used to do all these things in the 2010s in Sylhet.
Nahiyan bhai is so constructive and articulated and so good at making his points clear
On point with the Live show production of Metallica and it’s unreal upfront. Had the privilege to watch them 5 years back. The energy to play 2 straight hours of a set is unbelievable- no let ups, just pure adrenaline and preparation.
This season is just fire john vai. 1 after another surprise. Best podcast i can say it now.
Jon bhai podcast eto lombai rakhben pls .....1 ghontar podcast e mon bhore na bises kore music er podcast gulo minimum 2 hrs hoyai jaay❤❤❤❤....thank u
A hell of show!! ❤❤ Nahiyan Bhai exploded like a time bomb
Absolutely loved this episode. Such throwbacks. And Saimum Hasan Nahian is seriously awesome. Jamshed Chowdhury, super jomse, tomar/tomader memories reminded me of my early days of being exposed to the scene, plus when I used to collect cassettes and CDs. Jon bro, keep up the podcast, please. I had to go back and watch Powersurge performance on the Drockstar videos for old times' sake.
❤
Back to back BANGER episode. GOATED podcast
Yess loved the length of this episode 💥🤘Gonna watch it tonight!!!!
I’ve been a lifelong fan of metal music - mainly thrash, brutal-tech death metal, grindcore and sludge metal.
I’ve always loved both of these guys and the band itself.
So cool to see and hear them talk, trade thoughts about metal music and all their experiences and memories.
Both Jamshed and Nahian are so humble, honest and pure in their attitude and feelings. Metal musicians are generally so misunderstood. And sadly, they don’t get the credit they deserve.
If I owned a record label or knew how to promote these bands, I’d do everything I could to help them.
Edit: I’m a big fan of CDs. I now have a downsized collection of my firm favorites and essentials. Original, new CDs still cost a lot to collect in Bangladesh. Death metal albums, particularly, always cost me more than 2,000tk each. And most of the others I’ve bought on my travels abroad. If I were Nahian’s age and knew him then, I know I’d happily share and give him my CD albums to hear.
What a sophisticated discussion it was! Very good insight came out throughout the show. Music lovers can watch this episode without losing attention. ❤🙏
Very insightful discussion, Nahiyan bhai should've added in the last about Eluvetie coming for a show and returning without doing so because of the security problems in Bangladesh
1:31:09 this is called podcast, enjoying every seconds. thank you Jon bhai
The passion of palpable!!!! What an interview and what a podcast!
Amazing episode, brought me back to the memory lane. Since yesterday I was watching all the episodes of D Rockstar, that show was was ahead of the time. I feel so bad for some of the bands who sounded amazing, but couldn't bloom to the potential.
Excellent Episode
Love early days of CD's
enjoyed it so much!!
I wish episode ta aro boro hoito.. Thanks Joh bhai for invite them.
I never thought Nahiyan is that bomb of a man! loved every bit of this video. \m/
I never knew that Nahian vai is so organized and well arranged in his thinking and talking. 💌
This season is the best💙
This episode absolutely a perfect episode for the young music enthusiast. And NAHIAN vai, wow man, respect for you. you just talk like me. Absolutely great episode for me and especially ending part.
I must say that I really enjoyed the whole episode....want them again with another show...

I can relate to every words what Nahian vai said. We are the 90s metal heads ...
Nahian bro your outfit rocks. Very much metalic jacket. ❤️ it.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nahian bai is so intelligent. His vision about music is so clear. Respect to this man.
this episode brought me to the past!!
what a beautiful "thrashy" childhood i had!!
10:17 Superb question @Jon Kabir
Everyone should stand beside all these geniuses gentlemen. We all need to rethink our view to metal bands. Listening to them makes me feel that i have no idea what actually going to the ground level considering metal bands. I think most of us have the same feeling; yes i am talking about mass people. We must promote metal bands. Thank you John Bhai to create the realisation in me. It was needed. Let's come together and Restart the process... Revolution require..
I wish all the bands who have survived and yet after this change doing rock and more heavier music should be appreciated..
wooooo

Khubi valo laglo vaiya
This episode is bomb
i swear this is the best podcast show in bangladesh
Absolutely nostalgic! The ICCB Aloki crowd will never know how much engaging RCC, Friends club Uttara, NLA used to be and like Jon bhai said - they don't need to. Good times. I just hope People would love music someday and go to show instead of attending a show just to puff puff pass and hangout.
I was thinking about if John bhai Calls Powersurge it would be a great show. Many things can be known about bangladesh metal scene
We need to talk more about STENTORIAN, period.
Loved listening to nahian bhai♥️
Nahian er Kotha gulo khub valo lagche... ❤
100% agreed with nahian's all explanation
1:16:55 I still have d'rock star dvd/vcd. It was a hell of a show. My mother was a pure Powersurge hater 😅😅
She used to say ভূত তাড়ানো গানের অনুষ্ঠান 😅😅😅
Hahaha😂😂
Nahian just superb... 12:42
♥️♥️♥️
Powersurge, please make a new fresh album. its time.
It has been a constant thing for over a decade now. Musicians saying it's listener and sponsor's fault, sponsors saying its musicians and listeners fault and listeners are complaining it's musicians fault. Metal scene needs an open dialogue between everyone as everything is interconnected. Everyone is at fault here and they have their own reasons of not mitigating it. Bring or talk to more listeners if you want something impactful. Or else it would be like this forever
Thanks ❤❤❤❤
Just to piss you guys off “Amazing!! Bunch of boomers having annual nostalgia session” 😂
Jokes apart, brilliant conversation from talented rockstars of Bangladesh!!❤❤❤
Would love to see probar ripon no cap
Power surge mannn ❤
1:33:04 Jamshed vai singing the starting note of the tornado of souls solo was the best moment for me 😂😂😂
1:01:22 Respect Rafa bhai

Saimum hasan Nahian ' Brother got you '
I am The Fan.
Yaaaaaaaa
24:50 listener music knowledge is very important
Powersurge is best of the Bangladeshi metal,.
I’m not gonna claim myself as a die hard fan of Metallica like you guys but none of them is in their late 60s! Only Hetfield turned 60 this year!!!…fortunately I had the opportunity to see them live twice (Rome 2014, Bologna 2018) and the energy these guys brings on each and every song are just otherworldly!!!..Live show Production wise they are superb but IMO still no way near the awesomeness of Rammstein,Roger Waters and Tool (I’ve seen them live as well). Rammstein’s live shows are just another level.
Of the American Big Four, I always liked Slayer and Belladona-era Anthrax much more. Metallica’s ‘Ride the Lightning’, though, still floats my boat.
Exodus, Death Angel, Dark Angel, Nuclear Assault and a few more acts were top tier thrash that I loved and bought most of their albums, too.
I went through a similar phase when I first started listening to music. I can relate with Nahiyan Vai because of the way he relates to that era of music.
(2000-2010 golden era of my life)
BD has so many pioneers musicians and they have access to a lot of opportunities organization why the are not organizing shows like D ROCK STAR again..WHY!!
Always just complaining.. "" Ei nai oi nia hen ten "
Cryptic fate ershad Bhai Rafa artcell powersurge only Aurthohin/sumon bhai is the missing piece of puzzle now
Please make it happen on 2024.
Dear Jon Bhai,
Please call Karnival, Highway, Aftermath. I am eager to watch them on your podcast.
Jon bhai, Google podcast e upload koren please. It will be great
want next ones to be 2 hours long as well! not for everyone though :3
23:02 Sumon bhai
1:02:06 As far as I know India or Nepal don't have Metal bands as good as Bangladesh. But they definitely have better Metalhead community than Bangladesh. Bands like Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica & DT showed in Paasher Desh. Maiden's Senjutsu was a bestselling album in India in 2021.
Where is samir hafiz?

Cunning stunt dvd changed my lifestyle!
Please tanzir tuhin bhai Next
6:59 If heavy metal bands ruled the world, we'd be a lot better off.
I agree with the point that free shows should be stopped. bamba or someone should take this step that artists wont play in shows which are free of tickets. I dont go to shows anymore because of these unfiltered crowd who dont know the bands or maybe only know one song and they are in the concert only to create chaos and irritation.
tahsan bhai ke chaiiiiiiii
