Agreed, the guy was solid, cracks me up all the keyboard warriors having a go at him , probably all femi the fake fan boys dreaming of sucking men off down the local park
Carl Froch was like a middleweight version of Rocky Marciano. I agree he is one of his own greatest fans but he definitely deserves a lot of credit. A British legend
I don't care what folk say about Froch's personality. I love great fights. Man did this dude deliver. Hard as fkin nails. Respect the fellas resolve and chin. A 15 or more round fighter if ever I've seen one. Old skool
I'm coming very late to Carl Froch as a fighter and never saw him fight before his career ended but I can tell this man is just a class act and an amazing athlete. I've watched both fights on UA-cam vs George Groves and was especially impressed with his very last fight. Truth be told , he literally conquered George Groves mentally and physically in both fights. And for all the talk about a bad call by the referee in the first fight, I say BS...the referee actually helped Groves' career by ending the fight when he did...it was a good call because Carl hit him with a very short devastating left hand which isn't so easy to see.. The referee's primary responsibility is to protect the fighters and he essentially protected George Groves in this fight. Carl's willingness to offer a rematch also speaks to his character as a man. No one can sincerely take away Carl Froch's accomplishments in the ring from him. CHEERS FROM CANADA!!!
I understand why Carl is not everyone's cup of tea as is arrogant and contradicts himself. He did not like Groves goading him but he did the same to Calzaghe. As a fighter technically not the best, however he is as tough as they come. Has a granite chin, great stamina, fought decent opposition and avoided no one. I could not see anybody stopping him in a fight not even GGG. One of the best Super middle weight fighters the UK had. A shame he was not the Benn, Eubank, Watson era I think he would of held his own.
Froch for me personally the best English/British fighter of the modern era. I know Calzaghe was phenomenal and undefeated. Lennox, Naz, Hatton, Eubank Snr, the list can go on. Froch would fight anyone and every fight was entertaining. The man was like a fuckin Spartan warrior and would just walk through people. Honest man, says it as he sees it, and always stays humble and loyal. Don’t hear many fighters give their coach the credit Froch gives Robert McCracken. Stayed with him right through his career too. Take a bow Froch lad 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Everyone takes the piss but froch paved the way for every boxer in the UK. He's marmite but loved him fighting, absolute warrior, 3x the bone density of a normal man hence the class chin. Absolute beast. Would of loved to of seen him against Calzaghe.
I love the story of how Carl had to have a custom made cup to accommodate his massive balls. I know he rarely brings it up, but he fought infront of 80,000 strong. Froch is a boxing legend!
LEGEND Carl was a hell of a fighter, he got my attention when he 1st turned over & went pro. I was dying for a great British super-middleweight to come along cause Calzaghe bored me, that guy had no flair & really never took risks, his only outstanding fight was left-hook Lacey which didn’t come close to some of Carl’ barn stormers. Carl “the 🐍” Froch was a fn’ warrior like Nigel Benn& I don’t give a crap if nobody agrees cause I know I’m 💯% correct & I reckon Carl would back me up on that 😎😎😎😎
I've met narcissists and they are usually hard bastards it comes with the condition, Carl is a classic example . Like him or not you have to respect his career.
just finished his book, seems ok,just told it how it was, that Pascal fight was brutal but neither took a step back.Good luck to him for what he's got.
jermain taylor was a shot fighter when he boxed froch?????are u deluded??, he had only lost twice before he lost to froch that was against kelly pavlik, yes he was beating froch on points but the distance is 12 rnds, and the championship rnds are the last 2, in the 12th he got bulbed and sparkled that my friend is what warriors are made of look at chavez vs taylor, as roger mayweather said, you dont know shit about boxing.
@Mr Zeus I agree ward schooled froch. But haters on here who are slaging froch are probably key board warriors who have never boxed in there lives. And seem insecure and jealous of froches achievements.
Froch life story = Simple lived in Calzaghes shadow all his life. Got sent to school with his lunchbox by Ward. Kessler beat him fairly too. Stopped most of the shots with his chin and plastic nose. Bitter ever after.
Gavin Roberts Regardless of your personal feelings towards Froch, god knows why anybody would have personal feelings by the way, but anyway, what can’t be taken away from him is that he is the most successful British fighter maybe of all time, nobody from this country has fought the level of opposition that he fought as often as he fought them, once he hit world class he fought everyone. Don’t think anything else.
@@danielmoore1451 Carl Froch most successful British Boxer of all time ? 🤣🤣🤣 Have you never heard of Lennox Lewis, Joe Calzaghe, Jimmy Wilde Bob Fitzsimmons etc etc.
Lennox isn't a authentic British boxer. Calzaghe never faced the best throughout the majority of his career, defending the WBO for the better part of a decade. The others you mentioned, aren't modern day fighters. Probably the only modern day fighter more popular than Froch was big Frank Bruno.
Too much hate towards Froch, you lot can’t have been watching the same Froch as the rest of us, he was a great fighter, considering his hands down style, he is a fucking legend
Carl Froch was 8-2 against these champions: Andre Ward, Jean Pascal, Mikkel Kessler, Jermain Taylor, Arthur Abraham, Glenn Johnson, Lucian Bute, and George Groves. That’s not bad at all!
Froch v Groves 2 was not the biggest super middleweight fight post war . It was Nigel Benn v Gerald McClellan. Nigel Benn , Joe calzage , Chris Eubanks Snr would not consider Groves a serious threat but a payday
Carl might have beat him in the ring twice, BUT... Groves won the mental battle. He’s still in his head to this day, even after knocking him out, Carl still thinks about him every night. I’d say Groves is the winner there..
I think Calzaghe stops Froch in the 10th or 11th round, and Froch's "granite" chin wouldn't make a difference. Calzaghe would hop in, pepper him with a few 4-5 punch combinations, then hop out. After nine or 10 rounds of this, Calzaghe would have built a huge lead and Froch's face would be a bloody, lumpy mess. Froch would never be in serious trouble as far as being knocked out, but the ref would stop it simply because he can't win and there's no point in having him take any more punishment. I'm not a Calzaghe fan, but he's too fast and too savvy for Froch.
Im just here to hear the story for the hundreth time that on a cold rainy night in front of 80,000 people Carl Froch knocked out George Groves. LMFAO 🤣🤣🤣 i only had to wait 80 seconds. Onya Carl you always deliver.
