Water Moccasin Hunting in my Pond

Yesterday I spotted a large doe walking thru my back yard. Today I decided to take a walk in the back to check out activity. I have a natural spring fed pond and beyond that it's basically a swamp. I keep my dogs out of these areas with a cattle fence and electric fence as a deterrent.
Walking on the dam I spotted a small (2 foot) water moccasin in the pond. The pond is nearly dried up so it was easy to spot. I agitated it with a (long) stick and it slowly made it's way to the other side where it hid in the hollow under tree roots.

@@dixiemae5042 I'm going to make a pipe with a noose in it to catch it. No other way to get close enough to grab it like rattlesnakes or copperheads. They all end up the same way - Off with it's head!
