Right… 90% of photographers absolutely do not use polarizers and mist on every shot. Maybe a lot of influencer photogs have used mist on everything in the last couple years but that fad is already on its way out. Both of those filters are well in the occasional use territory for most pros. The effect of a promist also varies wildly with lighting, focal length and aperture, so having a fixed level promist will give different results if any of those change. That’s why you usually take out a set of them for video / film productions. I know this is sponsored content but still, some level of realism would be appreciated.
I completely agree. To me this mist effect is just too strong and the hysteria over this product from these influencer types seems without substance. I saw a load of fawning reviews about this where they did not even show any images or footage where it is used, they spent the whole time fawning of this influencer. And when I watch his videos, all I see is the most self-absorbed narcissist on the planet.
in cinema industry we stack fx filter and pola every day without the issues you are talking about , I mean its really nice to have 1 filter to do it all, but using 2 spare filter is not a problem
"Without this new product, you'll never be able to open you cupboard without everything spilling all over yourself and your floor" - Trust me bro, I'm a marketeer
I’ve never once noticed “color shift” or any issues when stacking my pro mist with a polar pro polarizer. Sounds sponsored to me. I also like stacking because I can just take the pro mist off if I want a cleaner sharper image.
I love the idea of adding a CPL built into diffusion filters, but I'm also incredibly picky about my diffusion filters. I could see it for a minimalist kit, but between how little a 2nd filter adds, and the limited sizes this is offered in, I'm probably sticking to my Glimmerglass/Cinebloom + CPL
Hi Evan, great review! Could you please share how is this filter practical on the Leica Q while keeping the Leica lens hood on? I guess it is possible but bit fiddly. Thank you for your help.
Thanks! I think I prefer the older stuff too and that bronco just happened to be in the perfect spot. So I thought it was a jeep too but Marco told me that’s an insane Land Rover build they’ve been doing. Hoping to have the chance to get at least one of these cars out for a proper shoot. I’m glad he invited me out
Just reached out to Garrett via DMs on IG and he sent me a voice note saying they'll be shipping more end of month. This is gonna be a game-changer for my weddings. 2 in 1 is unbeatable. Wish the ND option could be added as a third, lol. Did you use the Everyday filter ON the camera with which you shot this video?
Need help please. I have a Nikon d3200 that I'm beginning to use. I bought an Amazon basics 55mm polarizer but it doesn't fit. I can't find what size I need to order. I'm very new and don't have a big budget, but wanna make my pictures the best I can for this stage. Thx
I normally have a 1/8 on at all times since I only have 1 UV.... it's my protective filter, but I personally love the mist filters... Regularly adding the polarizer/nd combo makes this a super fascinating product!
Isn't it funny, how we buy multi thousand dollar cameras and glass to get razor-sharp images, than add mist filter to smooth it out... ) I tend to use retro lenses like Helios for the same effect.
I would say that it is a matter of control (by selecting the filters you want to use) and having options (the possibility to have as clean of an image as possible without having to switch lens)
First I thought of writing " this looks mf cinematic", then I saw your gear, and now I am commenting the whole thought". But this information is surely useful.
It would be amazing if they stopped changing the ship date without telling their customers who are expecting their order. I have two sets of the double pack and magically the ship date is now end of April instead of early April.
"Dropping the aperture"? I think you mean opening up the aperture. Opening up the aperture or closing down / stopping down would be a better way to describe letting in more or less light.
Are you kidding? Nobody needs those accessories for great photos. Looks like a big ad. Anyway if your intention was honest objectiive you missed it. You loss all my respect for you.
Nice commercial , I guess. That being said, I absolutely don’t shoot the same type of photography that you do. I can think of , maybe, 6 times in the past 40 years where I wished I had this. Good for them though.

The problem isn't the stacking of filters, but the quality of the filters beeing stacked I guess
Exactly. No idea what “issues” he is speaking of. I’ve been stacking for years.
Just buy the new product

Thanks for coming by our shop Evan! The photos look AMAZING ⚡️ We’ll definitely invite you back out soon!
Would you stack this with a nd filter if you ever need to shoot video?
is it any good for video as well? If stacked with a ND will there be color shift?
Awesome, this was literally the combo I have been searching for. I just got into pro-mist and love the look, so this seems perfect!

1/4 or 1/2 strength? Did I miss the bit where you said it?
Crazy because I would give the green truck a 4. Better then the other one. I think the grungy look gave it a movie like feel.

Quick question, if left on camera do you need to use a hood?
So there are 3 options on the website. Does the everyday has most built in it? Or do I have to buy ‘em separately?
Filter is goated
My guy always makes timeless photos 🔥
Ive got mine pre-ordered. hopefull arriving in April
Good luck. I had a ship date of April 11th and they moved it to April 30th with saying anything. I emailed to check and found out.
Nice photos. CPL + pro-mist is a favorite combo for me, so I will definitely be considering this all-in-one solution.
My favorite are the bronco photos as well. I also like the white jeep.

@@RanftEvan That's awesome i find vibrant color and details very alluring. Looking foward to seeing more of your work Evan!
How do u connect the GoPro in your Q2?
Does PPA apply to Canadians 🇨🇦 also?

The size is on the lens
Look up the thread size of the lens

Great info. Keep doing this kind of videos. I’ll give those filters a try. They look very cool
Loved this video Evan! you definitely made me add to cart! :P
the two green bronco photos combines together are cool, even with the mess. What about that warm steering wheel pic?
Did you notice the little green flair that pops up from time to time?

Keep making these styles of videos 💪🏾🫡
Nice sales pitch
Oh i think I found my next purchase
Why they don't have PL + 1/4 mist? They have only PL + 1/2 mist which is too strong IMO. They have Everyday 1/4 mist whatever that is
That’s the one you want PL +¼ is the everyday filter
Super cool photos dude 🔥 I think I need this filter…
I just bought some filters yesterday 😅
Pfffff. I’m using bpm filter + cpl for years. 😅

Damn, I thought this was gonna be a VND with a promist. Definitely need one of those!
Been waiting for this thing to ship. Less than a months away! (Batch 1)
That’s awesome! You’ll be able to make some great stuff with it!
I've been stacking this combo...
Nice!, makes it easy.
Finally!
Let’s be honest, this was a sales pitch .
He scored a goal then.
This video reminded me I never use my circular polarizer filter I should probably start using that again before I start buying other gear 😂
Love it
Not sponsored thrust me bro
I hate stacking filters so this looks dope
Definitely solves that problem 👍
The issue with this filter, is you now need a regular polarizer on top of the every day filter because you don't always want the Bloom effect.
"Dropping the aperture"? I think you mean opening up the aperture. Opening up the aperture or closing down / stopping down would be a better way to describe letting in more or less light.
HMMM...I need a new polarizer . Maybe I'll check this out.
If you like pro-mist this definitely combines the 2 nicely!
Are you kidding? Nobody needs those accessories for great photos. Looks like a big ad. Anyway if your intention was honest objectiive you missed it. You loss all my respect for you.
Maybe…about half the words and show with and without shots.
There is no such think as 1-stop mist. It think the mist is in percentages for example 20% or 1/4
make your pictures more blurry so they look like film!! use a "mist" filter!! lol
Next will be a VND/polariser/mist 👌
ngl - I've ordered 2 of them and hope I don't have two wait TOO long to get them shipped to the EU
I don't like the mist.
they charge 90 bucks for shipping to NZ, on a 200 dollar filter ?... nah im good
Cool beans
👊💯
"Everyday filter" that screws up low light shots. Silly product.
No, it’s not the new filter we need. Just an optional add on to our gear bag. Be real
Lol don’t see a thing
Yes but they all sold out

“it’s not sponsored he didn’t ask me to make this video” … Suuuure
It just gets worse and worse 😂
Believe it or not, there are good people (friends) out there who want each other to win. No strings attached
If you notice, it's not an affiliate link. Don't be so cynical.
