My take on the Allspark: I like to think of it as Primus’ own spark, and it being the source of all other sparks and energon, the same way Unicrons spark was the source of his blood dark energon. If Unicron ever did the same, he might have created his own race of transformers but at the cost of not being able to physically influence the world around him. As for the other two, I like to think of the Matrix of Leadership as what you said, the vessel for the wisdom of the original Primes, and whoever is deemed worthy of carrying it is a true Prime and not just in name or rank. I also think that the small shard of crystal in it is either the collective sparks of the original thirteen or is the last largest piece of Primus’ spark. Vector Sigma would in this vain be the hub of history, culture, records, and knowledge and could either be a creation of Alpha Trion or it is Primus’ brain module. Anyway, this is just my headcanon for the Aligned continuity, and I try not to go into new Transformers media thinking this is set in stone.
Dreamwave also had the Well Of All Sparks in their comic, with a similar location on Earth that the writers didn't get to explore when the company crumbled.
So I just came back to watch this video again, because apparently the Allspark was namedropped in the 2005 Transformers Cybertron cartoon. I just watched a video featuring a scene from the show where Starscream and Megatron were fighting over the Omega Lock, and after the fight Optimus looked at the resulting destruction and exclaimed, "By the Allspark!".
For years, I could have sworn that the Allspark existed as a concept before the live-action films, because I distinctly recall a Transformers tv commercial from the early 90's that heavily featured a giant metallic cube.
i think that the line that sums up the AllSpark best is when CyberVerse Bumblebee is going thru his memory files and finds out about the AllSpark. (i may have misremembered a word or two but i got the gist) "I now know why the AllSpark is important. it contains life, many lives, infinite life! "
My head canon: Cybertron: Primus's temporary body Vector Sigma: Primus's temporary laser-core for storage and temporary bodies, The All-Spark: Primus's Spark, pure energy/data. -(By my view, the "All Spark Cube" in the first movie was actually Vector Sigma. The TRUE Allspark was the energy inside that got transferred to The Matrix as outlined in this video. In truth, whatever holds The Allspark becomes Vector Sigma. This means that in some continuities, such as the original G1 cartoon, Vector sigma is its own thing, in others, such as the movies post Revenge of the Fallen, The Matrix is both Matrix and Allspark. Through specific story points, it may even be a character. Examples of this would be Sam Witwicky throughout most of Revenge of the Fallen, and Optimus then temporarily Buster Witwicky in the G1 US comics when The Allspark was software referred to as "The Creation Matrix") The Matrix: Primus's "Final" laser-core. As all sparks come from "The All Spark", all sparks come from Primus himself. As The Matrix collects the Sparks of deceased transformers, it would be logical to assume that eventually all Transformer sparks will be in The Matrix, reforming into a completed Primus. Once this happens, he will gain the collected wisdom of all his children, both Autobot and Decepticon, at which point, "All are one", and that one is Primus 2.0
@@knockdown3620 In my mind, Vector Sigma, which is part of Cybertron, which is Primus's current/temporary body would be his laser-core. (Laser-Core being the term from gen 1 for the hardware that held a transformers mind and personality, retconned in my own and most modern head canon as being the hardware that holds a transformers spark.) My fan-fiction level head canon is that the designation "Vector Sigma" applies to which ever container holds The Allspark, which is Primus's spark. If the Allspark is moved from a core super-computer on Cybertron to "The Cube" to "The Matrix", then the title of "Vector Sigma" moves from the core of Cybertron, then to the cube, then to The Matrix. Primus essentially splits his soul into millions upon millions of tiny pieces which each experience their own life. When that piece dies, it merges with The Matrix. When all pieces have collected in The Matrix, then Primus awakens at full power in that universe. He may awaken in lesser states, such as by using Cybertron as a body, but it's insignificant compared to his full power. Unicron seeks to destroy or corrupt The Matrix because doing so leaves Primus disassembled with no hope of fully reforming in that Universe. If a Matrix cycle is completed within a universe, and Primus reforms, then that Primus is linked to a multiversal Primus over-mind, which gains greater power within the mulitiverse itsself. This is how I view Primus as being a multiversal singularity. Holy crap, I think I've just given more thought to the religion of fictional alien robots than most people do to their own beliefs.... :P
"Before time began, there was the All spark. Like all great power, someone wanted it for good, others for evil. And so began the war." "PRAISE BE TO DECEPTICON"
1:02 Hugo Weaving played as a villain in the movie the Matrix. And then played as Megatron where there was a device called the Matrix. They should do a cross over where Megatron wins the war steals the Matrix and uses it to power a super computer that generates a simulation where he stores humans. To use them to make Energon.
Although I grew up on Gen 1, the "Beast Era" of Transformers is my fav. Not only because it focused on animal-based forms (since I've always been interested in animals as a kid), but also because it introduced a lot of good new ideas & concepts (which endure til today, & continue to be expounded & expanded upon). While I like the artifacts to be connected, I believe they should be separate (yet being able to be merged into a single, ALL-POWERFUL "Relic"). The notion that each artifact should have its own distinctive shape & powers is a great one. Making the artifacts somewhat like the Triforce would be ideal. There being 3 macguffins that have to be collected & then combined into a single, all-powerful item, would make for more compelling stories.
Brilliant channel & content. Your knowledge of the transformers lore is incredible Chris. Thanks a lot. I didn’t understand why this was such a prevalent relic to transformers when I first saw it in the transformers ride at universal studios Singapore and why Megatron died when it was shoved into him chest. It all makes sense now. Thanks a lot👍🏻 It
As always Prime have the best version, I like it as a conduit for Primus himself to give life to Cybertronians, is defined the best use they have give it to the All Spark.....but design wise I like more the Octagon form that Cyberverse and Siege use, thats the best looking designs for the Allspark.
i like the take of the 3 relics , vector sigma , the matrix and the allspark , each having there own function , of knowledge , wisdom and life , where as the allspark is a energy contained in a vessel , that its connection to the heart of cybertron gives the planet its life
I think it's important to note that in the live action movies all modern technology was derived from studying Megatron. While there's no proof that that's why Earth's technology was able to come to life it seems like the kind of thing the writers wouldn't have put in if it wasn't important. That said, not every loose thread in those movies is explored, so I could be finding meaning where there is none
You forgot one thing, in the Ultimate Transformers Guidebook it mentions the well of allspark before the Live-Action films came out or Transformers : Prime or Animated. The Well of Allspark existed in Transformers lore, the Live-Action movie took the concept and made it into a cube.
Cool. Great video. Hey, do you think you can do another one of your videos about the dark relics, like the Dark Spark? Or the dark matrices, like the Dead Matrix, or the Matrix of Conquest or the Evil Matrix? Or the counterpart of the Allspark, the Anti-Spark? Thanos: Where is the stone
So, with the power of the allspark, my TV could become a giant transformer robot. Interesting.
Dreamwave also had the Well Of All Sparks in their comic, with a similar location on Earth that the writers didn't get to explore when the company crumbled.
"What's got you so spooked, old bot?"
"Some things aren't meant to be found."
2007:A rubik cube.
2018:A D20.
Imagine a war over an object.
Imagine a war
Megatron: where is the cube!?
starscream: the human has taken it!
megatron: you have failed me yet again starcream, GET THEM!!
"Before time began, there was the cube."
(i may have misremembered a word or two but i got the gist)
"I now know why the AllSpark is important. it contains life, many lives, infinite life! "
Stab Megatron with Cube: Dies
Stab Megatron with Cube: Resurrected
I like the icosahedron shape. It’s unique and the Triforce on it is fun too.
My head canon:
Cybertron: Primus's temporary body
Vector Sigma: Primus's temporary laser-core for storage and temporary bodies,
The All-Spark: Primus's Spark, pure energy/data.
Examples of this would be Sam Witwicky throughout most of Revenge of the Fallen, and Optimus then temporarily Buster Witwicky in the G1 US comics when The Allspark was software referred to as "The Creation Matrix")
The Matrix: Primus's "Final" laser-core.
Wait is vector sigma part of the giant robots dudes mind cause it should at least be part of him
@@knockdown3620 In my mind, Vector Sigma, which is part of Cybertron, which is Primus's current/temporary body would be his laser-core. (Laser-Core being the term from gen 1 for the hardware that held a transformers mind and personality, retconned in my own and most modern head canon as being the hardware that holds a transformers spark.)
My fan-fiction level head canon is that the designation "Vector Sigma" applies to which ever container holds The Allspark, which is Primus's spark.
And so began the war."
"PRAISE BE TO DECEPTICON"
IMA KOSO YOMIGAERE CHI'NURARETA TSUMI TO YOBARETA YOKUBO YO
Speaking of all spark and gaint robots, all spark pictures also makes power rangers
The All Spark always gets shot into space, lol
Personally I like when new elements are added, adds much more to the story
Thank you so much! So many easy questions answered. So many similar relics explained. I appreciate this!
Best transformers UA-camr ever
There being 3 macguffins that have to be collected & then combined into a single,
all-powerful item, would make for more compelling stories.
Great video, good info. From the all sparks recent history. Young history, thank you for this video.
Brilliant channel & content. Your knowledge of the transformers lore is incredible Chris.
Could you please do a video on Cosmos, one of my favourite transformers who doesn't get the credit he deserves (he saved the autobots from being launched into the sun as you will know).
Thanks for the great videos.
I don’t know if I’m suppose to be on Patreon to recommend who I want to see episodes of, but I’ll try anyway:
-Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime
-Scourge the tracker and his Sweeps
-Swindle
-Cliffjumper
And last but not least
-Snarl from the Dinobots (my personal favourite)
That wouldn't be bad
So, this is kind of proving the Aligned continuity fleshes out things in a thorough kind of way.
Weird to know that if you have all the versions of the Alspark you can effectively play DnD with them.
I think the aligned interpretation of the allspark is my favorite
Thanks a lot. I didn’t understand why this was such a prevalent relic to transformers when I first saw it in the transformers ride at universal studios Singapore and why Megatron died when it was shoved into him chest.
It all makes sense now.
Thanks a lot👍🏻
It
As always Prime have the best version, I like it as a conduit for Primus himself to give life to Cybertronians, is defined the best use they have give it to the All Spark.....but design wise I like more the Octagon form that Cyberverse and Siege use, thats the best looking designs for the Allspark.
Hey girl, are you the allspark? You make me feel alive baby
More like give me life
Dang back at it again
@Drakon590 yo that would catch any girls attention
@Drakon590 that actually makes no sense
Someone should use that pickup line
As I like to see it:
Vector Sigma is the brain of Primus,
The Allspark is the womb of Primus,
The Matrix of leadership is the soul of Primus.
I love how when they were fighting the war
They had no idea that they were slowly destroying Primus
Hmmm what a coincidence poor Primus
Fateh Sahi I say womb because it’s the part of him that creates life also the matrix is a sliver of Primus’s spark(his soul).
Wow.... After so many years I didn’t think 2020 would be the year that I finally understood the plot of ROTF
i like the take of the 3 relics , vector sigma , the matrix and the allspark , each having there own function , of knowledge , wisdom and life , where as the allspark is a energy contained in a vessel , that its connection to the heart of cybertron gives the planet its life
I think it's important to note that in the live action movies all modern technology was derived from studying Megatron. While there's no proof that that's why Earth's technology was able to come to life it seems like the kind of thing the writers wouldn't have put in if it wasn't important. That said, not every loose thread in those movies is explored, so I could be finding meaning where there is none
Bumblebee: So you mean we found the allspark, the real allspark?
Ratchet: No i'm saying, *it* found *us* .
I'll call the Allspark what it is - by it's true name:
'McGuffin', or 'Plot Device'.
I suppose that extends to the Matrix and Victor Sigma as well since that's exactly what they were in their original appearance.
@@foldabotZ Yep. They are all members of the same McGuffin family:
Auntie Allspark.
Cousin Vector Sigma.
Grandpa Matrix.
@@hyperdragon001 Don't forget Uncle Omega Lock
@@hyperdragon001 Lol, I legit thought you were mocking the Allspark bu you were legit about calling a McGuffin. Because that's what they all are.
While they are all McGuffins I think that the Allspark is the most blatant.
Thank you so much for this vid. Its been a long time coming haha
So much like how Beast wars/machines pioneered the Spark and protoforms the live action movies pioneered the Allspark.
The 2007 movie All Spark will always be “The All Spark”
You forgot one thing, in the Ultimate Transformers Guidebook it mentions the well of allspark before the Live-Action films came out or Transformers : Prime or Animated. The Well of Allspark existed in Transformers lore, the Live-Action movie took the concept and made it into a cube.
I am here four hours after this thing got published!
Wow. I was never a Transformers aficionado so I didn't know that the allspark was an addition from the movies.
BY THE ALLSPARK....WHAT A REVIEW!!
Allscream could control the Motorfunctions of transformers, yet didn’t stop Optimus from opening his spark chamber to unleash the matrix
Plz do a video on the tripredacus council there is some interesting lore there. I.E they are predicons without deception origins.
I hope you like these ideas and becomes of great help for you. Oh, and take a look to the great videos of Osro about the transformers of the movies, you will love them. Till all are one.
This message is for Chris McFeely, the creator of these videos.
I didn't know Sam transferred the knowledge to the Matrix O-O
I saw the cube and thought it was a version of the Underbase! Then, the Allspark is sent into space just as the Underbase was...
Will never forget Starscream shouting: blind me with your awful light - thrill me with your darkest secret - fill me with your unholy power - GIVE YOURSELF TO ME!
9:22 missed "offlined by a cosmically powered starscream" moment.
I wonder if a future depiction will present it as the spark of Primus?
"The all spark. ...yes." "we Must not allow megatron to find the all spark with it he will destroy everything we are."
"Before Time Began Thare was... The Cube."
-Optimus Prime
Oh no, cosmically powered starscream reached Cyberverse. It will hit real life soon
I have always been a G1 fan and like the lore there, as well as a late adopter od the beast wars/beast machines lore
d20 *snrk* I love that reference. Hmm, would the GM of a Transformers tabletop role-playing game be called...
an ACTION MASTER?
Renaming it Allspark studios is actually kinda adorable!
Basics of Wreck-Gar would be an interesting video.
