I have a question: how do I download the files on the Website? I really wanna try this tutorial but I don’t know how to download the .bin files…
in the link where you click on the villager’s name, tap the three dots on the right side and save it to your Files app and you can find their .bin files there!
Probably not going to use it for a specific villager I really want on my island, but instead ones that I want back on my island if they moved out!

that’s alright! if you have 10 villagers, you’ll be able to choose who to replace so you can get the villager you want

It will work with any switch wether it's og lite or oled and it should also work with wii u and devices in the 3ds family of consoles

apps like Amiiboss only allows you to write like a maximum of three times, if you want to write more you'll have to pay for it :( or you could use a different app that does the same thing!

I do this but with coins! I have a coin box where i store them all neatly. I just need to stop being lazy and decorate them 😂

hi, im using an older version of android phone and it doesn't support nfc. can i use something like an nfc reader on my pc?
i'm not sure actually. can it also write onto the card? because aside from reading the cards, you also need to be able to put the bin files inside. but give it a try and let me know!

also make sure that if you're downloading them on your phone, you need to save them in FILES. the option will appear when you click download.

unfortunately ipads don’t have the hardware to scan NFC’s 😭 you can download the app Amiiboss but that’s basically it, you can’t really do anything with it as far as i know 😢

yes 😭 only nfc cards can contain the bin files and transfer them onto the switch :(

no it won't work on paper, you need special NFC cards for it to work, specifically cards that are NTAG215

i currently don't have an android phone but the steps are very similar, you just need to download a different app that's available in the play store. the files needed are the same with ios!

we can get a furniture too?
you can! but only with the special sanrio characters because they come with their own special furniture. if you scan their amiibo cards, you get their furniture in the nook shopping menu at resident services and they will be available there forever even if you don't move them in!

isn’t this illegal? it’s a great idea and all, and an amazing alternative for those who can’t buy the official amiibo cards, but i’m pretty sure this is classified as piracy and i don’t want anyone to get into legal trouble.
i also don’t want anyone to get in trouble. what i wanted to show through this video is how you can make amiibos for yourself. i believe that distributing them out and making money off of these cards is illegal and i’d warn people to be careful if they do that. as for me, this is purely just for people who want to get their favorite villager!
Hi, I know this 2 months old, just to clarify, at 0:44 I'm guessing that means like you can only download a certain amount of Amiibos? or is it like, each Amiibo can only be downloaded a certain amount of times?
oh i meant that with the Amiibos app you can only write 5 amiibos and if you want to write more you'll have to pay for it :( but i suggest maybe borrowing another iphone to download the app and you can write another batch of 5!

yes absolutely! you can even print out their pictures on sticker paper and then put it on the card 😊

you can borrow an iphone and download the app there! so you can write ten cards if you have two devices

Can you please make a vidoe on how to import/download the files as well as the key bin file into your files app on the phone. It doesn’t say anywhere for me to download and when I hold it it says to copy it and when I do it says it’s not a accurate file and it needs to be a certian size as well. I just bought the nfc cards and I really don’t want my money to go to waste if I can’t figure this out 😭
oh don't worry about it! you just need to tap the three dots when you get to the bin file and then you can choose there to save it to your Files app. you have to scroll down a bit to see the save option. let me know if you were able to download them!
@@lady_godiva I was able to download the bin file correctly cause I backed it up to my iCloud, but with the villager files it wouldn’t let me download it as a file it only did when I was on my computer and when I tried to put it in a google document so I can transfer it to my phone it wouldn’t allow me so I’m not sure what to do cause when I click on the files it says that I can download it but it shows computer keys when I do download it nothing shows up 😭

@@josiaha_aka_monkey_fr kicking out villagers is kinda tricky, but if you make one of these cards you can kick them out just by choosing one of them because the game will give you an option to replace them with the card you scanned!

you’re not a noob! making amiibo cards is mainly so you can get your favorite villager into your island without having to villager hunt or rely on RNG. you can make amiibo cards for other purposes as well on games aside from animal crossing, for extra items or characters!

hmm the only times that has happened with me was when i didn't write the .bin files on the card and the switch can't read it because it's empty. have you tried other villagers/characters? also sometimes you need to position the card/coin in a specific way so the switch can read it, even with official amiibo cards.

Doesn’t fake amiibo cards potentially lead to ur switch being banned?
i've been doing this since the release of the version 1 switch and have not been banned! the information in the nfc cards are already in the game so i think it'd be pretty hard for them to trace who's using an unofficial amiibo card. but you can do the research if you're still hesitant to try this out!

unfortunately no because nfc cards allow you to transfer the .bin files into it so the switch can detect it :( it works kind of like a qr code

you don't sound dumb at all! what i did was just send or download the .bin files on my phone and you can find them in your Files app and just look for it when you're in the Amiiboss app. did that help?

I'm working on android, i have all the bin files, got the tagmo app and it's 2 missing files installed, figured out where my phones antenna is, currently waiting on my ntag215's to arrive. Is there anything else i need to do or check? Everything looks good to go but I've never done this before..
